Taehyung's heart pounded as he ripped open the envelope from Erin, his fingers shaking. When he saw the Korean SIM card, a wave of relief washed over him. He yanked out his old SIM and shoved in the new one. "C'mon, don't let me down now," he mumbled, powering up his phone. It showed a threatening 1% battery.
Ignoring the warning, he opened Telegram. His eyes widened when he saw 16 unread messages from Jk. His breath hitched as he read through them, each message more intense than the last.
Jk was confessing his love, saying he missed V-Taehyung every damn day. "No way," Taehyung whispered, his eyes stinging with tears.
The final messages were urgent. Jk had even left his American number, begging Taehyung to call him before Telegram got banned. Taehyung's heart raced as he scrambled through his emails, seeing more desperate messages from Jk.
As a surprise, he eventually remembered the number so fastly as ever. Somehow, the number resembled to someone's else too, but he let the thought aside.
"Shit, shit, shit," Taehyung cursed, trying to keep calm. "I need to call him."
He switched to the American SIM, dialing Jk's number with trembling fingers. "Pick up, pick up," he chanted under his breath.
Just as the call was about to connect, his phone died. "No fucking way!" Taehyung shouted, slamming the phone against his leg. Frustration bubbled over. He needed to reach Jk, and this was his only shot.
In a frenzy, Taehyung bumped into a woman. "Sorry! Can I use your phone? It's an emergency!" he blurted out.
The woman, taken aback by his urgency and striking looks, hesitated before handing over her phone. "Okay, sure."
Taehyung snatched it, dialing Jk's number with rapid speed. Ofcourse, it was at the tip of his tongue. As it rang, he tried to steady his breath.
Meanwhile, Jeongguk, having downed his 14th drink, was scanning the crowd. His phone beeped but he ignored it, too focused on finding Taehyung. When the unknown number rang again, Jeongguk frowned and declined it. It rang once more, and he threw his glass away in frustration.
The phone rang yet again, and Jeongguk, now furious, declined it again. "What's your damn problem?" he muttered angrily..
Jeongguk's frustration with the endless ring of the unknown number hit a peak. "What the hell?" he snapped as he answered, hoping for some clarity.
"Hello.....Jk?" came a shaky voice on the other end.
Jeongguk froze. That voice-desperation dripped in that voice. His heart pounded as he realized who it was. "V? Is that really you?"
"Yes, it's me," Taehyung said, his voice breaking. "It's been forever." His eyes teared up as soon as he felt JK's voice ringing in his ears.
Jeongguk's eyes widened with relief. "I missed you so fucking much. Where have you been?"
"My phone and SIM were stolen," Taehyung explained quickly. "I just got them back today."
Jeongguk's voice was soft but urgent. "Where are you now? I've been looking for you everywhere."
"I'm in NYC, Jk," Taehyung replied, scanning his surroundings. "Where are you?"
Jeongguk's eyes widened. "I'm here too. I've been looking for you."
Taehyung had his mouth wide open, he let out a shaky breath.
The connection crackled, but the excitement in Jeongguk's voice was unmistakable. "V, we need to meet. Now."
"Yeah exactly...where are you in NYC?"
"I'm at this carnival in NYC...,down the street," Taehyung said, glancing around. "What about you?"
Jeongguk's breath caught. "I'm here too. I've been waiting to see you. This is crazy."
Taehyung's voice was filled with desperation. "I need to see you. I've missed you so damn much."
Jeongguk's voice cracked slightly. "I want to see you too. Let's find each other right now."
Their voices were laced with raw emotion, each desperate to bridge the gap that had kept them apart for weeks. As they spoke, the carnival lights flickered around them, their connection growing stronger with every word.
Taehyung's heart pounded in his chest....Jk's voice was not ringing anymore..as he realized his phone had lost connection. "Hello? Jk? Hello?" he shouted into the dead line, but the call had ended
The screen flashed "No Signal," and his heart sank. Desperation clawed at him as he looked up at the lady whose phone he'd borrowed.
"I'm really sorry, I forgot to recharge my data plan. Plus, the network is not working properly."
Taehyung cursed and ran his hands through his hairs and again dialled Jk's number, but it was useless. The call didn't go through. He cursed under his breath, frustration mounting, and handed the phone back.
"Thanks anyway," he mumbled, his voice thick with panic. He turned and sprinted back into the crowd, pushing through people, his mind racing with worry.
Meanwhile, Jeongguk's anxiety was mounting. "V, where are you? Please pick up!" He dialed and redialed, each attempt met with the same automated message. "The number you are trying to reach is unavailable."
His frustration boiled over, and he gripped his hair, his knuckles white. He needed to find V. He couldn't lose him now, not after everything.
Both were frantic, racing through the carnival, their hearts heavy with dread. Jeongguk scanned every face, every stall, but the crowd swallowed him up.
Taehyung shoved through the masses, his breath coming in ragged gasps, his hope fading with each step. He was on the brink of despair, the carnival lights and laughter a cruel contrast to his inner turmoil.
Finally, Taehyung collapsed on his knees, tears streaming down his face. "Jk, where are you? Please!" he cried, his voice breaking.
He was about to give up when a hauntingly familiar tune floated through the air-Jk's favorite violin melody.
[PLAY THE VIOLIN COVER]
His heart skipped a beat. "Please be him," he whispered fervently, pushing past people with a newfound urgency.
Taehyung barreled through the crowd, elbows and shoulders jostling him, but he barely noticed. His eyes were locked on the sound of the violin, each step fueled by a frantic hope. He finally squeezed his way to the front, and there it was-Jk
Standing with a violin, lost in the music. His eyes were shut tight, and the intensity in his performance mirrored the chaos Taehyung felt inside.
"Jk," Taehyung choked out, his voice trembling.
His heart lurched. He took a shaky breath and whispered, "Jeongguk?" The name came out like a breathless gasp, barely audible over the hum of the crowd.
Taehyung's heart pounded as he took in the sight of Jeongguk, who was once playing the violin with such raw emotion. His mind raced-could it be? Jeongguk was Jk?
His eyes widened as he scanned Jeongguk's familiar features, now illuminated by the soft glow of the street lights. Jeongguk's intense focus, the way his fingers moved on the strings-it all clicked. He was Jk, the same person Taehyung had been chatting with, bickering with, and feeling so deeply connected to.
As Jeongguk heard Taehyung's voice, he looked through the crowd and froze. There was Taehyung-his hair a mess, clothes rumpled, eyes red and swollen from tears. It was like seeing a ghost and a dream all at once. His face softened, and he lowered the violin, his expression shifting from concentration to pure, unfiltered joy.
The music ceased, replaced by the sound of their heartbeats-a rhythm only they could understand.
"V?" Jeongguk whispered, voice trembling.
Taehyung nodded, tears streaming down his face. "Yeah, it's me. I can't believe it either."
Jeongguk stepped closer, his gaze never leaving Taehyung. "How is this possible? You're V? We've been..."
Taehyung managed a tearful smile. "This is what destiny is, Jeongguk. It brought us together."
Before Taehyung could react, Jeongguk's lips were on his. It was a sudden, passionate kiss that took Taehyung by surprise, but he responded with equal fervor, tangling his fingers in Jeongguk's hair.
Their kiss was a mess of longing and desperation, their tears mingling as they whispered, "I love you" between breaths. The world around them faded as they finally embraced the truth of their feelings, letting the emotions flow freely in that one perfect moment.
Jeongguk and Taehyung finally stumbled into Jeongguk's apartment, their faces flushed with the thrill of their reunion. The apartment was a cozy haven, and as they kicked off their shoes and let the door shut behind them, they couldn't help but burst into giggles.
"I still can't believe it, Jeongguk," Taehyung said, shaking his head in disbelief. "You were Jk all along. Honestly, I never knew."
Jeongguk cupped Taehyung's face in his hands, his eyes filled with a mix of amusement and tenderness. "I know, right? Even I didn't know you were V the whole time. We were just friends, missing each other without knowing. I had you by my side all along."
They both laughed, the sound echoing through the apartment. Taehyung sat down on the couch, his grin never fading. "It's crazy. I missed you so much even while I was in America. Every minute, every hour, I was thinking about you."
Jeongguk plopped down next to him, still chuckling. "I know the feeling. I was practically shouting V's name in my head during those lonely nights. I was moaning it out without even realizing he was just beneath me, taking me all in."
Taehyung's cheeks flushed a deep red, a mix of embarrassment and excitement. "Stop it, Jeongguk. That's so..."
Before Taehyung could finish, Jeongguk leaned in, his lips crashing onto Taehyung's plump ones with a hungry urgency. The kiss was fierce, their breaths mingling as their bodies pressed together.
Taehyung melted into the kiss, his hands wrapping around Jeongguk's neck as he responded with equal fervor. They pulled away for a moment, breathless, their foreheads resting against each other.
"I've missed you so much," Jeongguk whispered, his voice a rough blend of emotion and desire.
"I've missed you too, Jk," Taehyung murmured back, his eyes locked onto Jeongguk's. "I'm just so glad we finally found each other."
Jeongguk's smile widened, his fingers tracing Taehyung's cheek. "Me too, V. It's like all the pieces finally fell into place."
Taehyung smiled, his eyes locked onto Jeongguk's. "Yeah, it's like destiny brought us back together."
Jeongguk grinned and kissed Taehyung again, more urgently this time. His hands roamed over Taehyung's shirt, pulling it off. "We've got so much time to make up for, babe."
Taehyung's fingers fumbled with Jeongguk's belt, his eyes dark with desire. "Let's make every second count."
Jeongguk's breath hitched as Taehyung's hand brushed against his growing erection. "Fuck, V... You don't even know how much I've wanted this."
Taehyung's lips curled into a teasing smile. "Trust me, I do."
Taehyung was sprawled on the bed, his pants now discarded and only in his boxers. Jeongguk, still fully dressed, hovered over him, his eyes dark with desire. Jeongguk leaned in, his lips trailing down Taehyung's chest, kissing and nibbling at his nipples. Taehyung moaned, his fingers tangling in Jeongguk's hair.
Jeongguk's erection was painfully hard, straining against his jeans. He shifted his weight, letting Taehyung's legs wrap around his hips, pulling him closer. The contact made Jeongguk's breath hitch, and he let out a low groan.
"Fuck, Taehyung," Jeongguk whispered, his voice ragged. "You feel so goddamn good."
Taehyung arched his back, pressing his hips up against Jeongguk's. "Tell me how much you want me," he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper but heavy with need.
Jeongguk's lips brushed against Taehyung's ear as he murmured, "I want you so bad, V. I've been dying to feel you around me, to fuck you senseless."
Taehyung's breath hitched, and he wrapped his legs tighter around Jeongguk, pulling him closer. "Do it then," he said, his voice thick with desire. "Make me yours, right now."
Jeongguk's hands roamed over Taehyung's thighs, his fingers pressing into the soft skin as he kissed his way back up to Taehyung's mouth. Their lips met in a fierce, hungry kiss, the kind that spoke of all the longing and frustration they'd felt during their separation.
Taehyung's fingers dug into Jeongguk's shoulders, pulling him closer, as they both whispered filthy, desperate words between kisses.
"Fuck, Jeongguk," Taehyung gasped. "I need you so badly. Don't hold back."
Jeongguk's voice was a low growl. "I won't. I'm gonna make you scream my name."
