In October, we interviewed OwlieCat for their story, 'Healer of Sakkara'. S. G. Gardner enjoys writing about chaotic queer characters having adventures and falling in love. They have seventeen completed books on Wattpad and hope to write many more. When they're not writing, S. G. can be found tending to a small herd of cats, in the garden, or behind the reference desk at the local college library.
If you would like to be considered for High Fantasy's Book of the Month, please fill out this form. Each month, we select a story we believe represents the genre well, and is something readers can enjoy. Please be advised we cannot select everyone and due to high volume, we can't provide feedback for why a story is not selected. Please pay attention to things like grammar, a clear narrative, and relevance to the profile. At this time, we do not accept fanfic submissions (Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the profile).

As a witch, what powers do you wish to have?
PyroTank - Bass shrugs. "That is... beyond obtainable. Necromancy isn't... the forte... that I... wish upon another."
DammyOludare - I'd love to control nature , specially the seasons . Like be able to use ice magic , earth magic etc. Basically , elemental powers!
MoonlitBookworm73 - Ooh, I'm an irl witch so this is really fun for me. Idk probably say that I would love to have the power to read people's intentions. I can usually do it fairly accurately already, but having a specific power to see their exact intent would be very useful
EMMcNulty - Well, I live in a city with lots of traffic jams, so being able to fly on a broomstick might be useful.
Do you have a magical experience that became one of your favourite moments?
ArestaDinata - I do.. it happened a year ago on 2022, the cloud seems cloudy and it's about to rain any second.. I'm inside a Bus on my way to my friend's office.. when I almost thought it will rain at the same time as the song that I listened is "Heat Waves" the cloud is opening and revealing the morning sun and it looks absolutely fascinating! 🤩🤗✨
Swanfeather_ - Once, I went to my cousins's vacation house with them and at night you could see everything in the sky. The stars, the milky way... It was so amazing.
Sarah_Horanson - Like going to the efteling in the Netherlands it is such a magical place and I would love to got there again
