Yes
Remus rolled over with a soft snore, feeling the empty place where his husband would've been. Deceit still hadn't gotten back but Remus wasn't too worried. He was probably staying over that night because he wasn't bothered to ride back. Or he had killed Roman and was now in the dungeons. You could never know.
The sun began to rise through the window and Remus groaned loudly, pulling the covers over his head.
"Stupid sunlight..." He grumbled, rolling onto his back to pout at the ceiling. Sitting up reluctantly, he threw himself onto the ground with a loud crash. This was how he always woke up and he slowly pulled himself along the ground until he finally stood up.
Remus dressed surprisingly quickly and wandered out of his room until to wake straight into someone.
"Dee!" He gasped. "You're back!"
Deceit gave him a half-smile. "Yep, I'm back..."
"Did you say yes? Virgil will kill you if you didn't," Remus frowned, picking up on his husbands' odd behaviour.
"O-Of course I did, why wouldn't I?"
Remus shrugged. "I dunno, Dee. You seemed really pissed with Roman when you found out he popped the question."
Deceit stiffened, averting his gaze thoughtfully. "Don't remind me..." He muttered.
Laying his head comfortingly on Deceit's' shoulder, Remus sighed softly. "It'll be fine, Dee. Virgil isn't a kid anymore, he knows what he's doing, marrying Roman. Besides, if that bitch tries anything we can just kill him brutally!"
"Yep. Brutally kill him," Deceit agreed with a forced chuckle.
Remus frowned, tilting his husband's' face to stare him dead in the eyes. "Are you good?"
"Uh, just tired."
"Well, you must be if you're admitting it!" Laughed Remus. "You hate admitting when you're sleepy. Go to bed, babe, get some sleep!"
Deceit nodded slowly, walking inside the bedroom and Remus stared after him fondly. The moment the bedroom door was shut, the Duke skipped down the corridors, whistling to himself.
Many people would find life in the Dark Castle lonely. The only people there are the royal family and the imps. Anyone else you see is a guard or a knight and they weren't much fun. Remus didn't care much, he was never one for much company. All he needed was his family and he had them with him. What else could he want?
Remus whistled to himself, wandering the corridors until he reached a certain door.
"Virgil," He trilled, knocking on it loudly. A reluctant groan was heard from inside and Remus grinned, pushing it open. His brother-in-law rolled over in his bed and pouted up at him. "Dee's back!"
That made him shoot up out of bed. "He is? He said yes, right?"
"Of course, he did! He's your brother, he couldn't say no if he tried." Beaming, Remus sat down on the princes' bed heavily, braiding his legs together. "Not when it's this important to you- Virgil?"
Virgil was on his feet, pulling a shirt on and dressing swiftly into trousers. "Open the window! I'm going to see Roman!"
Remus giggled and opened the window. He was the best brother-in-law ever. Virgil crawled onto the window ledge, leaning out. "Don't tell Dee!" He grinned and then he fell out of the window. Remus watched as Virgil loosened and hit the ground, rolling quickly onto the side and sitting up. He shot the Duke a thumbs-up and darted to his feet.
"I am so responsible!" Remus complimented himself. "I let my husbands' little brother jump out of the window to run off to his fiance. I should totally be a dad!"

He took a sip of the elixir and felt it work its' magic. Mist rose off his body into the sky and so did the unnatural bad luck for that day. Roman was on his balcony when he saw a dark brush of wind and suddenly Storm was standing next to him and Virgil threw himself off the thestral and hugged him. The king laughed, stumbling onto the ground. "Wow, I love you too, emo!"
"Shush, don't ruin the moment by speaking."
Roman gasped in mock offence but the smile that grew on his face was lovesick as he wrapped his arms around his fiance tightly. He hid his face gently in Virgil's' shoulder and felt something very, very unusual. Uncertainty.
He wasn't used to feeling this way. Roman rarely hesitated or felt unworthy- wait, unworthy? Where did that come from? He was always very confident in himself and his decisions, but somehow being in Virgil's' arms made him feel like he was unwelcome dirt on someones' brand new pair of white shoes. Somehow being kissed by Virgil made his heart explode but his body feel sour and unresponsive. Somehow, being with Virgil made him feel inadequate. Somehow, Virgil loved him anyway.
Virgil kissed Roman and the young King felt his uncertainty sift away. The kiss was brief and, when they pulled apart, Roman frowned at Virgil. "You don't have to do that..."
Rolling his eyes, Virgil scoffed. "I do it anyway."
"You know I hate it!"
"Well," Virgil smirked cheekily, "You also hate that I'm taller than you but there's nothing you can do about that!"
Roman smiled coyly back at Virgil. "At least I can give you a hickey easily now! Seven years ago, it gave me a cramp having to kneel just to kiss you!"
Virgil snorted but rested his head on Roman's' shoulder, letting his eyelashes flutter closed against Romans' skin. "You're lucky Deceit said yes to you, princey..." He mumbled.
"What?" Asked Roman.
"Letting you marry me and stuff. He said yes. Kind of surprised, he looked like he was gonna tear out your throat."
Roman frowned. "What in the three Realms does your brother have to do with our engagement?" Saying marriage felt wrong to Roman. He didn't deserve to even say he was to marry Virgil.
Virgil pulled away from him, now sitting on his fiance's' hips. "Deceit visited you last night about it, what d'you mean?"
"Virgil..." Roman said slowly. "Deceit never came here last night. He hasn't been here in six days..."
The prince frowned. "But... Remus told me that Dee just got back and he said you could marry me! Are you sure he didn't leave a message or something?"
Roman shook his head. "No, I'd have reached it by now! Look, send Storm down to the stables, I'll ask around."
Virgil nodded and shooed Storm away. The thestral obediently swooped away to the private stables that sat below the balcony, instantly greeting Cloud, Romans' pegasus. Virgil got of Roman, pulling his lover up from the ground.
Not a single servant batted their eyes at the Dark Realm prince emerging from their Kings' room. Honestly, it happened a lot and no one was surprised anymore. Logan had just got into work and he smiled fondly as the two entered the throne room.
"Virgil," He said. "It's great to see you again. I see you're now Romans' fiance?"
"Yeah, about that, did Dee drop round and leave a message or something?" Virgil asked, not bothering with the idle chatter.
Logan frowned. "A message?"
"Probably filled with swearing and threats of brutal murder? Ring any bells?"
The advisor shook his head. "I've heard nothing of the sort and, if a message was received like that, I'd have been informed."
Roman turned to Virgil. "Look, Vee, I'm kinda confused right now, what the hell does Deceit have to do with our engagement?"
"It's one of the oldest tradition in the Dark Realm for the oldest blood relative of the family to agree to a proposal," Virgil explained. "I kinda forgot when you proposed but you were kinda supposed to ask Deceit for his permission before you try to make me your husband..."
Roman frowned. "But... Deceit and Remus..."
"Deceit was the oldest blood member of our family at that time," Shrugged Virgil. "He was allowed to..."
The King's' face suddenly went slack. "Oh my god, I've disrespected your traditions again! Damn, I'm such an idiot!" He hissed angrily, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Hey, Ro, it's fine!" Virgil assured. "You were already way too nervous about just asking me, imagine if you had had to ask Dee!" Roman smiled thinly at his fiance who was too good for him all the time.
Logan cleared his throat. "If Deceit didn't leave a message, why are you asking?"
"Last night, he kinda freaked out about it all and rode here to basically lecture Roman," Virgil started. "I was still sleeping when he got back this morning but Remus ran into him and apparently Dee said yes so I came here to... well, you probably know what I came here to do..." Logan hid his smirk in his hand and Roman went pink. Virgil scoffed, flicking his bangs out of his eyes only for them to fall back in place as he continued. "But Roman said Deceit didn't drop by or even leave a message so I wasn't sure if Deceit had or not because he was gone all night."
Logan swallowed down his amusement and quickly regained his formal attitude, even if his eyes shone with humour. "Perhaps he decided it wasn't worth the bother?"
Virgil shook his head. "That's not how Dee works. He'd have decided on his answer but would've come anyway just to nag."
Roman was about to answer than paused. "To be honest, that sounds exactly like him."
Virgil sighed loudly. "I'll go talk to him, but, hey!" He turned, taking Roman's' hands and leaning down to place a soft kiss on his head. "At least he said yes, right?"
Roman smiled wearily up at his fiance as Virgil left the throne room and he jolted when Logan appeared next to him. "Roman, you know that you are worth Virgil's' love, right?"
The king sighed. "He still deserves better than me- Wait, how could you tell?"
"I've been your best friend for as long as we can remember," Logan raised an eyebrow at him. "You tell me."
Roman snorted. "Take the day off, Lo. Go see your husband and kids, I can handle the day without you."
Logan smiled down at him. "As long as you're okay, Roman. If you're sure, I'll go." And Logan left the room and Roman sighed loudly.
"I really hope these bad feelings go away once we're married..." He mumbled as he moved to sit in his throne. They probably wouldn't.
