Cure
I'm sorry, these are all just filler chapters from now on until book three
Amai stopped wailing to breathe. She gasped and began to cry quietly, having screamed herself hoarse. Fletcher kept staring down Remy. Pushing his sunglasses further up his nose, the coffee addict looked nervously at Patton.
"We can fix it..." He whispered.
"What?" Asked Patton. The young mans' eyes were filled with abandoned hope.
Remy swallowed nervously and Emile took over. "W-We're a kingdom who focuses out technological advancements on prosthetics because we often get involved in fights. We can get your daughter her arm back."
Logan frowned. "It would be robotic! It wouldn't be human!" He snarled angrily.
"It's the best we got!" Hurried Emile. "W-We'd only need to do a-an operation! She'll b-be fine!"
"I don't want you to take away my daughter anymore," Hissed Patton tearfully. He tightened his grip around his children.
Virgil swooped down, placing his hand on Pattons' shoulder. "Unless you want her to have one arm for the rest of her life, she's going to need this..." The prince hesitated. "I know it's hard for you to think that but Emile and Remy are actually good people. They will try to help as best as they can."
Remy looked at Thomas. "Sir, I'll escort you to your rooms if you need-"
"No, no, no, you're not! I'm still annoyed that you took my brother!" Deceit corrected, clicking his fingers. Thomas was grappled by smoky yellow snakes, pushed into the ground. "Now," Purred Deceit, "Do I kill you or torture you?"
"Neither?" Asked Thomas.
Remus took a nervous step forwards. He could see the horror in Emile's' face and fear in Remy's' eyes. He could hear Amai begin to tremble and Fletcher tighten his grip on her. Remus may have been mad but he didn't want to scar anyone permanently. The duke put a hand on his husbands' hip, pulling him back. "Dee, it's not worth it..." He murmured in the Kings' ear.
"Remus, he-"
"Dee, the kids."
This made Deceit pause, he looked over his shoulder and saw how terrified Fletcher and Amai were. He sighed and the snakes let go, sucking away to nothingness.
Roman forced himself to ignore the obviously uncomfortable atmosphere. He turned to Remy. "Find an arm for Amai. Or I'll kill you myself."

Remy, Emile and Thomas hadn't been allowed to leave the supervision of Dark Knights for two weeks. Unless they were accompanied by someone who could win if they tried to escape. Thomas was kept in a private cage but was guarded constantly. Deceit made sure that the other King had the most uncomfortable stay he could. Remy and Emile got off better. They stayed in Virgil's' old cage, provided with several blankets and were guarded by two knights outside the door. Virgil would often visit them, to try to lighten the mood. That is why Virgil walked into the room and headed up to the cage and smiled sympathetically at Emile and Remy.
"I guess that you're the ones in the cage now..." He tried to joke. The prince sat down on the ground and Emile shuffled over to him. Remy stayed still, resolutely glaring at the ground behind his sunglasses. Virgil sagged. "Remy, I'm sorry-"
"Whatever."
Emile put his hand on Virgil's' knee. "It's fine, kiddo. Why don't you tell me about that posh one? The one you were very excited to see." Emile hinted with a wink.
Virgil went bright red. "E-Emile! It wasn't like that!" Emile raised an eyebrow. "Okay, so it was like that." Sighed Virgil with a faint, longing smile. He lay down across the floor, hands crossed over his chest like a corpse. "His name's Roman. We met under... unusual circumstances..."
"Ooh, what happened?" Emile squealed. Remy tried hard to look bored but he feasted off gossip. He slowly began to shift closer to Emile and Virgil.
"I was running away from a troll attack," Virgil explained, "But I ran in the wrong direction. I ended up at his castle and I thought that it was some kind of diseased place in my Realm. So, I went inside the castle and I hid in his private bathroom after throwing up because I was feeling really nauseous."
Emile gasped apologetically and Remy snickered.
Virgil sat up, propping his head on his hands. "He, Logan and Patton found me and we kinda hated each other at first. Then we had to leave because we started a war and stuff-"
"What?" Asked Remy, mouth dropping with a small smirk.
"More on that later," Promised Virgil, before continuing his story. "We travelled for a month and then we reached my castle and he kissed me." Virgil hesitated, remembering the events with no fondness. "I kinda freaked out and we fell out because of it. The realms had a truce and them my brother was getting married. Roman invited a friend of his and I got really jealous because we still weren't speaking to each other. I tried to kick the guy out but Roman wouldn't let me and he called me something that... Really hurt."
Emile's' face broke in sympathy as Virgil continued his tale. "Then we had a really posh dinner. Roman had managed to get his friend at the Black Table, which was where the grooms and their special guests were and I kinda evaporated my cutlery." Remy snorted in laughter. Virgil scoffed with a roll of his eyes. "Anyway, Roman was inviting his friend to go hang out after him and I basically just lost it. I blew up something in the middle of the table and Deceit quickly realised that was me so I left and he followed and I guess Roman snuck out after us because he's a bigger fan of gossip then Remy!"
Remy gasped. "No!"
"And Roman found me after I had stormed off after an arguement with Dee. We made up, got together and he was crowned King soon after." Virgil finished his story, smiling softly at nothing in particular.
Emile frowned. "But you acted like you hadn't seen each other in years! What happened?"
Virgil hesitated. "On the journey, Roman accidently killed a... unicorn? A year after, we decided it was getting too dangerous for us to keep seeing each other. We wrote letters but we hadn't seen each other in person for four years until today."
"Your Realms are still caught up on the whole unicorn curse?" Frowned Remy.
"Ye-es?" Replied Virgil.
"We solved that curse 100 years ago! You just need to drink the right elixir every day. We can get it for you and your boyfriend, Virge!" Remy grinned behind his sunglasses, jumping to his feet excitedly.
Virgil began to smile but it dropped quickly. "Wh-Why would you help us after what we've done to your home?"
"Aw, don't remind me of that! You had no part of it and you still talk to us despite what we've done to you!" Remy wafted his hand lazily. "Now, c'mon! Get us out and we can do this!"
Virgil turned to lok at Emile, mouth ajar with excitment. Emile nodded vigourously, standing up and reaching through the bars to help Virgil stand too.
"I need to tell Ro!" Gasped Virgil, happily, beginning to retreat slowly. "I'll be back, I-! I need to tell him!"

Roman heard a knocking on the room he'd rented for himself. He opened the door to be tackled by Virgil instantly. He had no idea what was going on, or why Virgil was screaming with joy but he let his boyfriend hug him tightly.
"Vee? What's going on?"
"Princey, we have a cure!" Virgil said loudly, pulling back. His face was creased in a grin and tears steaked his cheeks. "We have a cure, Roman!"
"A cure for what?"
"For the curse, Roman! We can be together again!"
Romans' jaw dropped and he blinked slowly. "Really?"
Virgil just kissed him in reply.

Thomas walked down his corridors, the two knights following him like bad omens. He heard a noise up ahead, from the room of one of the foriegners. Carefully and silently, he walked up to the door and peered in. His ex-prisoner was sitting on top of King Roman and the two were making out passionately.
Thomas spun around on his heel, face bright red from intruding. The knights stared at him passivley behind the visors. Thomas just shook his head slowly and marched in between them, heading back the way he came.
