Eva was born in England. she had a select group of friends, but it was in the sense of quality over quantity. they called themselves the Gingerbread Club. the group had supported one another through the hard times, but they slowly drifted apart. Lena moved to L.A. Zoe had bigger priorities like college. Abby just disappeared once. so it was just Eva and Marie. the two were close before, but now they really relied on one another.

Eva then had a dream where she ran an animal shelter. She had always wanted to do something important like that. she woke up Marie that night to tell her about it. marie was tired but she spent the rest of the night talking to her about it. Eva couldnt help but appreciate the dedication.

as the two worked on the project, she couldnt help but glance at her business partner and friend in an odd way. sure, they've been friends for a long time, but why did she feel different now? eva dealt with these emotions for a month until finally coming to a conclusion. could she be in love with her?

that was obviously true, but it left her with a worrying thought. what if she didnt like her back? she shrugged it off, but the worry was still there. she woke up one morning, sipping a cup of orange juice, when marie slipped her a piece of paper. 

eva was confused and opened it. Marie awkwardly walked out of the room, muttering, "took me three years to tell you this."
