Vikings
Vikings, who else is a fan of this show? I know I am. I just recently binge-watched it, again.
I mean, not only is this show very interesting historywise but man, aren't all those bear men and savage women just a bunch of eye candies.
Obviously, I didn't watch five seasons of a show just to drool over the cast (though this one would deserve it). I've discovered so many new things thanks to this amazing adventure. It brought new light on Vikings' lifestyle, their gods, and their customs. History channel sure did an excellent job.
How about you? What new knowledge have you gained from this amazing series? Was it just me? Or did you also go to google king Ecbert, Athelstan, Ragnar Lothbrok... and hunt down how much of the story is real and how much is a myth?
We've witnessed Ragnar's first raid to the West, we watched his life, all the ups and downs. We saw his children become men. Families falling apart and others growing closer.
What was your favorite season so far? Did you enjoy more the beginning when everything was fresh and new? Or later seasons where everything kept getting more and more complicated?
Everybody in this show has their own agenda.
What do you think was the most surprising betrayal? The one you didn't see coming at all?
What was the most unexpected turn of events in your eyes? The one that left you staring at the screen with your jaw hitting the floor.

I bet you all know Vikings had their own alphabet, the one you can see below. Their writing was more complicated than that, each rune can be translated to a letter, but also to full words. Do you know what each rune stands for though?
Did you know that...
⚔️Viking is a Verb, Not a Noun
⚔️Viking Men Often bleach their hair
⚔️ Viking Women had the right to inherit property, file for a divorce, and even reclaim settlements if the marriage failed
⚔️ Vikings liked to Ski for Fun
⚔️ Vikings used magic to induce delusion or forgetfulness, The symbol below is called aegishjalmr witch means the helm of awe or terror. This symbol was used to hide someone from his or her pursuers. It is mentioned often in the sagas as being used by women who performed this kind of magic. The Helm of Awe might be engraved onto a goatskin, which was then thrown over the head of the fugitive. Even after the advent of Christianity, belief in the aegishjalmr persisted.
