Kaelyn left the cave early the next morning. She was eager to get as far away from him as possible. It's not that she didn't love him, he didn't love her.

Kaelyn supposed that's how it went with most villain kids. Some of them unconditionally loved the people that hated them the most.

One unlike the rest was Shere Khan, the legendary tiger that almost killed Mowgli. He and her father were friends on the isle. Similar in a lot of the same cases. One glaring difference, however was the Shere Khan loved his daughter, whereas Kaa did not.

His daughter was named Serena, and the pair were extremely close, even closer than Mal and her crew had been to Kaelyn.

One of reasons Kaelyn wanted off the isle was to find a cure for Serena. Serena was paralyzed from the waist down so she spent her days in a wheelchair. Kaelyn hated it so she swore that she'd find a cure for her.

Serena merely laughed it off, not getting her hopes up. No one on the isle had access to good medical places, so people would have to learn by themselves.

The place Kaelyn was headed to was referred to as 'The Jungle'. The Jungle was compromised of building so high they could touch the sky. Vines snaked up the buildings, weaved into the tiniest of cracks.

Kaelyn walked to a run down building, looking up to the top. She secured the bag of eggs, moldy apples, and practically any other food she could find at her waist. Making sure it was secure, she started to scale the building. 

Serena and her father resided at the top of the building. Kaelyn was the only one who really came and went. She was the one thing that was constant to the pair's lives. Serena was the only one Kaelyn trusted complete. 

Some of her previous 'friends' betrayed her. Kaelyn had no problem killing them. It always hurt whenever someone betrayed her, and it always helped to kill them to relieve the pain.

Kaelyn swung her legs over a ledge at the top of the rocky building. A hand grabbed her, hauling her into the building. Serena smiled at her letting go of her hand. 

The girl sat in her black wheelchair, her orange hair curling down to her waist. She wore a orange shirt that had oil splatters on them. It was the best alternate that Kaelyn could find for paint. Serena wore black leggings alongside her black combat boots. 

Kaelyn leaned forwards and gave the girl a peck on the lips. "Sssssorry it took me ssssso long to get back Rena." Kaelyn said untying the bag from her belt located on her waist. 

"It's fine Kae." Serena responded back, her hand lifting to grab an apple that Kaelyn had tossed to her. "I'm just glad you are back."

"You know I'd never leave you Rena." She walked over to the counter that the two human tigers had. "Sssssshere." The only male in the room looked up to see Kaelyn. "I brought this week'sssss food."

Shere Khan nodded his head in thanks, his head dipping back into the magazine that he was holding. 

Kaelyn put her hands on the handles of the wheelchair, bringing Serena to her room. Depositing the girl by her bed, Kaelyn jumped on the hammock that Kaelyn hung after visiting Serena's house so many times. 

"Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlosssss left for Auradon. They are going to ssssssteal the wand and get everyone off the isssssle. Then we can ussssse the wand to heal you." Kaelyn smiled at Serena. "Rena we can go wherever we want without anyone telling usssss what to do. We will finally be free, from the isssssle, from the rulessss, from everything."

Serena smiled gratefully. "I only need you Kaelyn, my beautiful girlfriend. But, I guess walking everywhere with you would be amazing." 

"We could travel the world. No boundsssss, no worriessss." Kaelyn fantasized. She couldn't wait to ditch the isle. 

Serena wheeled over to where Kaelyn laid. "Say my name love." Serena traced a finger down Kaelyn's cheek.

"Rena." Serena's lips quirked upwards. She shook her head slightly, her fingers now dancing over Kaelyn's lips. "Sssssserena." Her name sent shivers down her spine. She absolutely loved it whenever Kaelyn would hiss out her name.

Grabbing her chin, Serena pulled Kaelyn closer before kissing her on the lips.
