The first 24 hours of the test was over, now the remaining 24 was going. Fangs has called me last night and asked how it went when I had to come home and face my mom.

He's been great and supportive and I can't tell him enough how thankful I am. My moms business friends were chatting and I was sipping on the wine in my white tight dress.

My phone started ringing and my mom sent me a sharp look as her friends stopped talking.

I give an apologising look and put it on silent. That didn't help much because it started vibrating, my mom sent me another look, but her friends continued to talk.

I cursed under my breath and looked under the table to see what the fuss was about. Sweet Pea had called me and Toni had too.

They kept calling and texting me that I had to pick up. Something had happened Toni texted and I raised an eyebrow.

Then there was a knock on the door, my mom raised an eyebrow, before looking at me.

"I'll get it" I say and excuse myself from the company. I hurry out the door as the doorbell goes off again and knocks.

I open the door and I raise an eyebrow as I see a beaten up Sweet Pea. "Sweet Pea? What are you doing here?" I ask and look back inside to make sure no one came out.

I close the door behind me and Sweet Pea grabs my arm and starts dragging me down the path. "Sweet Pea, Stop! What are you doing?" I hiss and pull back from his grip.

"We need you! Okay? Fangs needs you! He's worse than Toni and I, he said you've patched him up before! You have to do it again!" Sweet Pea exclaims and let's go of my hand.

I look back to the house and then back at a pleading Sweet Pea. If it wasn't that serious then Sweet Pea—who hates me—wouldn't come here and beg me to come with him.

"Okay—Wait a second. I'm in an important dinner, I'll find an excuse, just give me a minute!" I plead him and he walks me back up to my door.

"Fine, hurry!" He says and I nod before running inside again. My mom gives me a stern look and I give her a pleading look and a nod to come out.

She sighs and excuses herself, before grabbing my arm as she pulls me away from view. "What's going on? The phone? Now the door?" She hisses.

"Mom—I know this is very important to you, but a guy I really care about, is badly hurt—he needs my help and I have to hurry, if you decide to let me go" I tell her hurriedly and almost whine to make her let me go.

"Fine, if you must, you can come home tomorrow. Now go—your boy needs you" My mom says with a wink and hugs me.

"Thank you!! Thank you! Thank you!!" I say and kiss her cheek twice, before I grab my coat, keys and my phone before leaving.

My mom waves at me as I close the door and I wave back. Sweet Pea grabs my arm and we run to his motorcycle and we hop on.

"Where is he?" I ask over the noise as he drives.

"He's in his trailer—we got him there, but we don't know how to stop the bleeding without stitches. He told us to get you, but you didn't answer your phone" Sweet Pea yells and we arrive under an impressive amount of time.

Sweet Pea grabs my hand and we run to Fangs trailer and we burst in and I run over to Fangs as he lays on his couch bleeding from head to toe.

"I don't know what to do!" Toni exclaims and cries. I put my hand on Fangs bleeding stomach and put my other hand on his face and I curse as his eyes flutters between open and closed.

"Toni—get the first aid kit box, Sweet Pea put pressure on his wounds" I tell them and they nod.

I show Sweet Pea how to put pressure on his wound and he coughs as we stop the bleeding. "Talk to him—make him stay awake" I tell Sweet Pea and he nods, before starting a small talk.

Toni comes running back with the First aid kit and I open it, before ordering Toni to wipe the blood off Fangs worst wound, so I could see it.

I make Sweet Pea move a bit and he keeps talking to Fangs and I curse as I realise I can't work properly with his shirt still on.

I take a breath before ripping Fangs shirt open and Sweet Pea looks at me wide eyed. "Get over it, I'll buy him a new shirt" I say dismissing him.

I eye the wound and see it's an actual knife wound. "W-What the hell happened? That's from a knife!" I freak out and my hands start shaking. This is not just some beating, that's real! Too real for me!

"A fight with the ghoulies, now hurry!" Sweet Pea says and I try to get the needle ready to stitch Fangs up, but, now I can't stop shaking.

"Damnit! Why didn't you take him to a hospital?!" I shout at them and Fangs eyes opens at my outburst. I take a deep breath, trying to calm down, but as I get eye contact with Fangs, I start shaking again.

"He told us to get you, he didn't want to go to the hospital" Toni says panicked. "I-I can't do it" I say and Sweet Pea grabs my shaking hands.

"Maia, you don't have a choice! Get it over with! Stop shaking and save his goddamn life!" He yells at me and Toni looks back and forth Sweet Pea, then me, then at Fangs who looks up at us confused and in pain.

"Guys" Toni tries.

"I can't! I'm not a freaking nurse! You shouldn't have listened to him! You should have taken him to the hospital!" I yell back at Sweet Pea.

"Guys!! Stop! Help him!!" Toni yells at us and we turn to her and then look down at Fangs who tries to stay awake.

"Maia, please" Fangs whispers and I take a deep breath and wipe away the tears, I didn't notice had run down.

"Okay. Fuck. I got it" I stutter and take a few deep breaths, before Sweet Pea releases my hands and makes space for me.

I keep taking deep breaths and stitch Fangs wound, I managed to stop shaking and just keep taking deep breaths.

I finish the stitches and Sweet Pea and Toni stays quiet while observing my work. I cut the thread over and put on a bandage around his waist and stomach as Sweet Pea helps lifting Fangs up a bit.

My hands are bloodied as I'm done. Toni cleans the rest of Fangs minor cuts and I stand up and step away from my beaten boyfriend. Why would he be so naive and take all the beatings?

"I did it" I whisper and look down at my bloody hands and a tear drops on them. "You fucking did it" Sweet Pea mumbles amazed and in relief.

Sweet Pea and Toni stands up properly and takes deep breaths in relief. I wipe my eyes with the back of my hands. And try to stop myself from breaking down right here, right now.

"Maia?" Toni says. She sees my face and I start shaking again and I look up at her in pure shock and pain.

"Oh, honey" Toni says and hugs me tightly. I start shaking violently as I sob and Sweet Pea looks at me with a sad face, before running a hand over his face.

"I'll get you something to drink" Toni says and pulls away, I nod and take deep breaths and try to get more air.

"Stop, Maia. You did it, Fangs knew you could do it" Sweet Pea says and pulls me into a quick hug, Yeah you read that shit right—a hug!

"I-I just stitched him up! He shouldn't even be in need of getting stitches! How did this happen?" I sob.

"We all owe you. We are Serpents, we have the tendency to get into fights. But, this one went worse than the other fights" Sweets says and I pull away from the hug.

"Please, don't ever! Let it go out of control again! Please, I can't deal with it!" I exclaim and I look down at my bloody hands again before gulping.

"Don't look at them, go wash it off. Then we'll get him into his bed, okay?" Sweet Pea says and I nod before finding the bathroom.

"Hey, sweetheart? You okay?" Toni asks and walks into the bathroom as I silently sob and try to wash Fangs blood off my hands.

"Here let me help" Toni says and place the water bottle on the counter, before she grabs my hands and put soap on them, before she helped washing them.

I leaned onto Toni's shoulder and cried as she helped me, as I dried my hands she pulled me into a hug.

"He's gonna be so thankful for what you did, and happy that you did it—even tough you had an important dinner" Toni says and I smile a bit.

"I would do anything for him" I whisper.
