"This is our territory, and I would suggest you leave!" Adolph growled, pounding his paw into the ground.

The red wolf alpha of the other pack was right in front of him, autumn leaves fallen all around them. Adolph's pups watched from behind a tree, lucky that the older wolves were too busy with each other to think about sniffing around. The red wolf had brought his entire pack, including the five, probably old enough to hunt, pups.

"I'm sorry, but you didn't even introduce yourselves," the red alpha chuckled. His electric blue eyes seemed calm and confident.

"We don't have to!" Brock stepped forward, growling lowly.

"Well, my name is Nogel." He swished his tail, "and I'm sorry, but we didn't smell your urine about here."

"You should really mark this place more," spoke the female next to him. This one was white, with black dots under her eyes, and a slight scar over one of them.

One of the pups seemed to notice Fang and his siblings, for she looked around before hopping carefully over to them. She was a beautiful fox-like red wolf, with golden eyes. Her right one looked faded, dead-like.

"Hi," she whispered, "I'm Royal. We're new around here."

"Yeah, we could tell, trespassing on our territory and all,"  Dara frowned.

Royal got defensive, "Hey, it's not my fault! We just went a little off-course, is all. We're a bit lost." She smirked, "but Dad doesn't wanna admit that."

"I'm Star," the smallest one introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you," Royal responded with a smile. She looked up at the older two, "and you two are?"

"Fang," the darker grey one whispered, "and she's my sister, Dara."

"Older sister," she corrected.

"Oh, come on," Fang whined, "we're from the same litter!"

Royal laughed, "you guys seem fun. My brother would like you. Mind if I bring him over?" she waited for a reply, looking back at the other wolves, "Don't worry, the big guys won't notice."

Fang nodded, and Royal skipped back, but she was caught by one of the older members of her pack. The alphas seemed to come to an agreement, for Royal's pack eventually left. The pup turned back to them, mouthing a sorry and  goodbye. Fang and his siblings did the same, and turned to be greeted by a none-too-happy mother.

"Where did you three go?!" she demanded of them.

"We made a new friend!" Star smiled innocently.

"Oh, dears, you had me so worried! I told you not to leave. Now stay away from that pack, they're trouble," Sylvia warned.

But they would be meeting again. Fang was sure of that.
