In the Dark | Multiverse
Everyone has fears. Anyone who claims to be fearless is lying to you, or lying to themselves, or some combination of both, because fear lives within us all, excludes no one.
Well, except maybe me, seeing as how I am fear incarnate.
Phobos. Greek god of fear. Literally. It's so nice to meet you, little humans, is everything pleasant for you? Comfortable? Shame, then; my brother and I could use some catastrophe to break up the monotony, though, really, he's off spreading terror on his own these days.
I'm getting off track, although to you, I doubt I've made much sense at all, let alone appeared as though I was veering in a different direction.
Let me clarify exactly why it is that I'm making this chronicle.
I'm bored. Dreadfully, excruciatingly bored. Out of my mind with tedium. You can understand that, can't you?
In any case, from hereafter, I'll be alleviating myself of said boredom by playing around a bit with an odd ensemble I've stumbled across. And, boy, fearless they are not. Everything from fear of failure to abandonment to death, with the oddest of fears stuffed in between. Who in their right mind is afraid of prepubescent canines?
Oh, they're going to be a delight to torment for a spell; I might even get a century's worth of laughter from these unsuspecting mortals.
They're going to absolutely loathe me, and they won't even have a clue that they've a physical being to hate!
Being an underrated god has never brought me so much joy before.
I'll update you little humans when I've finished with my first victim - shouldn't be long; he's so high-strung on the inside, I'm sure he'll crack like that.
Ta-ta for now!
- Phobos, Greek God of Fear/Extremely Bored Personage
So this is an idea I've had for a while, with a bit of a spin on it now that I've added in Phobos to be the main conductor in this orchestra of madness. Basically, in each segment, you'd get one of my characters reacting to a scene in which their greatest (in some cases, one of their greatest) fears is realized. For example, anyone who knows Angelus Timor from the Interact Club would know what his greatest fear is - and in his segment, I plan on letting that guy show a bit of emotion for once!
Anyway, I probably won't write this for a while, maybe I won't even get around to it, but it's an idea - and one that someone else is very welcome to take up, if they'd like.
