Being a Stark pt 2

**Hello! So I'm thinking of making this oneshot a book! So if you'd like to read it after reading this, keep watch, I'll publish it as soon as I can! :)

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce said with a small, sarcastic chuckle.

"Yeah like an annoying fungus.." I mumble to myself, but apparently loud enough for Rogers to snort back a laugh.

"Loki's gonna drag this out," Rogers pointed out. I nodded my head, agreeing with the Super Soldier.

"So, Thor, what's his play?" I asked him.

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor any world known." He then turned towards us and walked towards the table. "He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth, in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract."

"An army from outer space?" Rogers questioned, completely lost. I feel bad for the guy. 70 years in ice, and first thing we give him is aliens.. Thankfully my first mission was purely human..

"So, he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce pointed out.

"Selvig?" Thor asked.

"He's an astrophysicist." Bruce told him.

"He's a friend." Thor added.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours." Romanoff said.

"I want to know why Loki let us take him." Rogers began.

"He's not exactly leading an army from here," I agree with Rogers, it is a bit weird. Usually they don't come quietly.

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You could smell the crazy on him." Bruce said.

"Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he is my brother." Thor said.

"He killed eighty people in two days," Romanoff and I say at the same time glancing up at Thor.

"He's adopted," Thor said flatly.

"I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium...what does he need the Iridium for?" Bruce pondered.

"It's a stabilizing agent." I say, but hearing another voice with mine, my attention is drawn to the doors. Coulson walks in finishing his conversation with my brother.. Who apparently was the other voice I heard.

I thought Tony rejected Coulson and the idea of the Avengers? I saw him whispering something to Agent Coulson before he left him to join our discussion.

"It means the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at S.H.I.E.L.D." I flinch at the not so fun memory.. He said as he walked toward Thor. "No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing." Tony added, as he gently hit Thor's arms. Thor looked at Tony with a confused expression.

"It also means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long as Loki wants." I continue rolling my eyes, as he walked to the computer monitors that controlled the helicarrier. Either he's really thick, or he's purposely ignoring me...

He then began giving navigational orders to the agents who then gave him strange looks.

"That man is playing Galaga!" He suddenly called out as he pointed to a not so innocent and embarrassed agent, one who I've caught playing the game a couple of times. "He thought we wouldn't notice...but we did."

I watched as he placed a hand over his eye and looked at the monitors. "How does Fury even see these?" Tony asked Agent Hill.

"He turns." She replies and gives me an exasperated look. "And when did you become an expert on Thermonuclear Astrophysics? You're sister I understand, but--"

"My sister?" He turns around slowly, finally realizing I was sitting at the table, giving him a sarcastic wave. "Oh. Hello Sister."

"Nice of you to finally notice Anthony. We've only been conversing since you got here." Sarcasm dripping from my lips. Sometimes he's such a child.

"And anyways, I read the papers. Selvig's notes? Am I the only one who did the reading?" He asked us, quickly avoiding my gaze.

"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Rogers asked, seems like he was listening, trying to understand.

"He would have to heat the cube to 120-million Kelvin, just to break through the Coulomb barrier." Bruce said.

"Unless, Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect," I said as Tony began walking toward Bruce and myself.

"Well, if he can achieve that, then he could achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet." He said. Tony held his hand to shake Bruce's and smiled slightly.

"Finally, someone who speaks English," he praised, as I clear my throat and raise an eyebrow.

"Well other than my sister." He says with a smirk, trying to get under my skin.

"Is that what just happened?" I hear Rogers ask behind me.

"It's nice to finally meet you Dr. Banner. Your work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled. And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster." At this point I mentally face palm for my brothers sake, sending an apologetic look in Bruce's direction.

"Dr. Banner is only here to track the cube." Fury said as he walked into the room. "I was hoping you and your sister might join him." He said to Tony. He had already debriefed me before hand.

"I would start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a Hydra weapon." Rogers pointed out.

"I don't know about that, but it is powered by the cube. And I would like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys." Fury said.

"Monkeys? I do not understand." Thor said, confused by the reference.

"I do!" Rogers exclaimed as he looked toward Bruce and Tony. "I understood that reference," he explains. Tony had a look of annoyance and rolled his eyes.

"Shall we play Doctor? Sister?" Tony says as he escorts Dr. Banner through the automatic doors.

"Sorry about him." I whisper to Rogers, rolling my eyes as I stand up to follow them out.

I've forgotten how much of a pain in the ass my brother can be... I almost feel bad for leaving Pepper alone with him.

See I became a S.H.I.E.L.D agent shortly after our parents were killed. I couldn't handle working at the company because, well there were too many memories. And being an agent, you really don't have relations outside of your job, so I didn't see Tony until after he escaped from his kidnappers.
At that point we made the joint decision to drop the weapon making faction of Stark Industries, and the whole ordeal with Obidiah, that you all have probably heard about, happened.

At this point Tony didn't really know I was an agent, he just thought I was doing research, therefore I was too busy for the company. That was until he started dieing from the Palladium in his chest, and Fury thought it would be a laugh to assign Nat as his new assistant  and give me "time off" to help my idiot brother. That was an interesting couple of weeks..

"So. When did you become Fury's lap dog?" I hear as I enter the lab.

"I am not Fury's lap dog." I say and Bruce looks in between us, worried we might start something.
