This is basically just a Jasper x Lapis version of the song "Shut Up and Dance". So enjoy :D

"Why are we doing thing again?" Jasper asked for the millionth time.

Lapis sighed, "for the last time, Jasper. We're doing this so we can make a nice fusion dance."

"What's wrong with our last one," Jasper said nonchalantly.

Lapis shivered slightly, "you known why." Jasper shrugged. Lapis grabbed one of Jasper's giant hand in her own tiny one. "Just shut up and dance with me."

Jasper smirked, "alright." The held hands made small movements. Both afraid to make the first movement and startle the other. This process could be long and gruelling, but they needed to be careful. This was the first time they tried to fuse sense...the incident.

But yet, here they were again. A year later, both in a happier place. Lapis had gotten over her first initial shock, and was talking again. It wasn't fast at first, she said little words every once and a while. But finally she'd begin to make full sentences, and would smile again. Which everyone was thankful for. But no one, was a thankful as Jasper.

It took a bit, or being bubbled and poofed and convinced by Steven. But she finally realized the horrors home world was doing. Instantly she regretted everything. Especially hurting Lapis. Being trapped in a hell-beast with someone for multiple months, you learn a bit.

Their minds were shared. Especially near the end. While Malachite was never her own gem, with her own personality. She got damn close to it. Their voices started merging as did their minds. Jasper began to see bits and pieces of Lapis she didn't think she ever would. Between that and watch Lapis grow. And become healthy and happy again. Jasper had fallen in love.

It wasn't instantaneous. And she didn't even know she felt it until Steven even explained what love was. She felt tingly when she saw Lapis and her heart would race. But being a warrior all her life, she figured this was just her fight instincts kicking in. But one day Steven told her more about how he was made (after a bit of prodding from Jasper about Rose Quartz), and he explained the love between Rose and Greg.

And after the long winded (and very detailed) story, Jasper realized she already new the feeling. Once she got to that point, Lapis looked a bit better in every way. Her hair looked stunning, the way her body moved, how powerful she was with water. The way her soft lips looked, kissable and perfect.

They had kissed at some point. A heated moment between the two, talking about everything between them. Their regrets and pasts, Lapis even talked about being in the mirror. Jasper apologized and they stared into each others eyes. Jasper looked at Lapis' deep blue ones, and Lapis looked at Jasper's amber ones. Jasper's eyes wandered to Lapis' lips. And she couldn't stop herself this time. Their lips touched and sparks flew.

Lapis had a sneaking suspicion she might like Jasper. But after that day, she knew it was true. They begun dating. And finally decided they needed to fuse again, but in a good way this time. Not filled with hate and anger and revenge, with love and hope and peace.

One more spin and the light begun to dance around them. Little balls of flashing lights and sparkles spined around them. And aqua colour engulfed them merging them as one. Their hearts racing, thoughts as one.

Malachite spoke and it wasn't one voice. It was two, together, her own voice. Her own mind, made together by people who've been broken and brought back together again. Held together by love and dreams. They felt together and whole. This was what fusion is supposed to be.
