*takes in a gulp of air* SKELETONS EVERYWHERE! WWWWWHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYY? *takes a deep breath* Okay, where... do I begin?

First off, why don't I give some tips on how to and how not to make an Undertale OC.

Undertale Do's
• Give it a name. Now, different rules apply to different types of monsters. If it's a human OC, which should almost never be done, then give them a normal name, something you'd find in the real world. Do not give a human a font as a name. If it's a dog OC, give it a name that has to do with dogs, like Dogfrey or Barkther. Something like that. For a skeleton OC, wait no... just don't make a skeleton OC.
• Make it a monster not common. My two main OC's are cat monsters, something I don't really notice that much (compared to skeletons anyway), but that's probably because I don't have the stomach to look up 'Undertale OC' on Google. They aren't even cat-cat, Arial (yes I know it's a font, but her color scheme is red [but also mainly black] and I was thinking about The Little Mermaid [of all things] as I made her and the colors just worked with the name) doesn't even have a tail, but has ears, fur and claws. Jim has claws, ears and a tail, but no fur. Skeletons, humans and ghosts I believe are most common, so try avoiding those.

Undertale Don't's
• Don't make it a skeleton for StarClan's sake! Too many skeletons, and all of which are either related to, or in a very, very intimate relationship with one or both of the Skelebros. Just... don't...
• Try avoiding copied attacks. Of course, if your OC is something like a Vulkin or Froggit, there is an acception for the doubled attacks. But if your monster is not a simple enemy like that, then don't give them Gaster Blasters or spear attacks. Doubled attacks aren't cool, and really, there isn't any need for them. There are literally an infinite number of possible attacks for a monster. Jim Nightshade has two silhouetted cats, one black with white eyes, the other white with black eyes, named Doskel (Black) and Ghath (White). They can change colors from Orange to Blue to Green depending in what they need to do. In a Pacifist run, they'd mostly hit with Green or Orange attacks, and in Neutral and Genocide runs they'd hit with their White and Blue attacks. If he were in-game, Doskel would only be able to hit with his claws and white eye when he's in his normal form, but is faster than Ghath, making him harder to dodge, while Ghath wouldn't be able to hit with his eye, but there's no point trying to get there.
•Avoid Canon×Non-canon relationships. I hate it whenever I see fan art for any Fandom of an OC kissing, hugging, holding hands with, or even being with a canon character. It makes them interrupt the story and this is usually what kills an OC's greatness.

Here is an example of a great OC.

Her name is Jess (obviously lol) and she is one of the residents who live in Snowdin

She has the ability to enter the other monster's dream, mess around with it, and even give her a deeper link to discover that monster's secret. And with this ability she loves to use any juicy information about that monster and use it as a gossip material or as a blackmail, and sometimes will ask for some money if that monster doesn't want to her to spread the gossip, for what well, she has her own purpose XD (*cough*it's so she can open her own fashion store *cough*)

Not everybody likes her because of this, but she doesn't really care anyway lol XD

She loves the color pink, and she loves pretty things such as a colorful fabric, or a shiny music box and stuff.

Despite the same love for money, Jess hates spiders, she thinks they're gross, so she and Muffet do not get along very well, these two would always insult each other whenever they meet (for example, Muffet would call her worm-butt while Jess would call her web-pooper).

Jess doesn't really get along with Sans either, she once tried to go through his dreams once but sans with his power managed to scare her away before she could search deeper, but she did managed to know a small bit of secret... that no one knows but sans and herself, and with it, she would sometimes threat sans that she would spread it if he doesn't want to help her with getting Grillby's attention.

Wait, Grillby? o.o yup! She has a crush on Grillby alright! XD And she even said that Grillby is her number one hot guy (pun not intended lol XD) while Mettaton is her second and just acts as her inspiration/idol for being pink XD (also by looking at Mettaton, it made her wonder how it feels to have legs)

Also, she once tried to get into Alphys's dreams, and then she swore to herself to never enter it again... XD

Although she seems to have a bad impression on your mind right now, but wait! she actually has a soft and genuine side.

Do you remember the snowman who wanted to see the world? Well Jess is actually one of the few person who cares deeply about the snowman, she would often visit him and tell about all the adventures that she had (not counting the gossips of course) and she would often make him a nice scarf at some certain occasion, in fact, if you run the pacifist (or neutral?) run and happen to have the snowman piece with you, you can end the battle with Jess by showing her the snowman piece and she will immediately stop fighting you and tell you to keep it safe or else she will give you nightmares. (Other than that, you can also end the fight with her by telling her a secret about Grillby , if you can get a secret about him XD)

Speaking of pacifist, lets see about her gameplay!

Since that she loves pink, of course her attack will turn you pink! And what does it do? Well it will give you opposite control, so if you press right, the heart will go left, and if you press left, the heart will go right and so on. This attack fits for a jester just like her UuU simple, and yet confusing

In the pascifist/neutral run, her attacks will consists of childish imaginary things such as fluffy clouds that rains candies, and then you will also have to dodge a rainbow, and sometimes a nyan cat will appear, and then you will have to avoid a lot of ribbons, and many more! XD

But in the genocide run, she will make a creepy grin like the picture above (and she will wear that grin until the end of the battle) and instead of cute imaginary things, she will attack you with nightmarish things such as clouds with acid rain, claws, sharp objects, etc. and her final attack would be a row of hallucinations of all the boss monsters that you've killed, in a creepy face. And she will use this to condemn/guilt trip you of your sins. And despite her dislike for Muffet, she will actually include her in her row of hallucinations because even though Muffet is a mini boss, but she still counts as a boss.

It is unknown when you will battle her, but obviously its before you battle sans and after Muffet.

Pacifist/neutral :

-act-*show the snowman piece* "wait is that-one of snowman's piece? ... huh, well i guess he wanted a different adventure for once... well, thats okay, i understand... and as for you, human, you better take care of it and not lost it or just put it in a box! or else you're going to have nightmares! well, that's all, gotta go now, bye~!"

Genocide :

-"it must be fun ... killing all the monsters and bathe in their ashes~! YOU murderer~ <3 heehee~!
-"sinners like you ... don't deserve a happy ending, am i right? tee-hee~!"
-"let's see how well you do, when you see their agony right now!" *attacks with hallucinations*
-"even if you get past me, but im sure you wont get past him~!" *possibly reffering to sans*

oh and one last thing! her normal font is mostly ice cream cake (because i had to use another font such as imprint MT shaodw for some symbols like "~"), while her genocide font is gloucester MT extra condensed ^u^

Hmm, pure Pacifist human OC who lives with Toriel, Asriel, Asgore, and Frisk, has a soul trait that isn't even canon in the game, and hates Chara, no... no, who even knows who Chara is. Yeah, this is a huge Mary-Sue

Okay, two skeleton's and a magical human. Not to mention they're with Sans. And skeleton's don't have hair...

How much you wanna bet that Calibri is the sister of Sans and Papyrus? Not to mention the hair... which skeleton's don't have...

I don't even know the name to this OC, but I would bet anything that it's some sort of awesome font. And he's a skeleton who is just like Papyrus...

Okay, skeleton, hair, and name similar to Sans, yup Mary-Sue.

Hmm, two skeletons... need I say more?

OmSC, why does this thing exist?

Where do I begin? First, she's a skeleton, but not only that, she's got a human form as well. She's super tall, like taller-than-Papyrus tall, and she wears the exact same hoodie as Sans, not to mention her battle stance and attacks are the exact same as Sans as well. Other than her hoodie, she's wearing the same thing as Frisk, except for a large purple sweater, instead of a blue and pink striped sweater. Looking closer to the quotes, she says "you DIRTY FRIEND KILLER!" Well! That's something I totally haven't seen before! *sarcasm sarcasm* Her name is Corvisa. HetaliaForever9022, just burn this OC, and nobody gets hurt. (Well, except for the OC...)

Now, there are some original aspects to this character, but the font name, the Gaster-like appearance, and the weak and frail outlook but very powerful magic, just kills this OC. Other than that, I have to say that this OC is okay, but the name, overall appearance, and either visible strength or magical power needs to change. If he's gonna look weak, make him weak, but if he's powerful, make him look it. Pick one or the other.

Okay, a calm, caring, and affectionate goat monster. Yup... I mean, to be honest, the design is good, but if they're gonna be a healer, don't give them a... whatever that weapon is... The name is original though, and I like it.

No... just no... You know what's wrong with this...

Okay, where do I start with this. First of all, he is literally a Sans recolor, as well as he literally has the opposite personality of Sans. Not to mention the repeated mention of Chara and Sans in the bio. Chara's name appeared like six times in one sentence! The fact that the creator said in the bio f**k you to the people messaging him about the OC, that's just horrible. Also, what about the name. The bio says that he wasn't always evil, but Gothic is an 'evil persona' name, what was his name before he was forced 'into the darkness'? And the fact that he killed Sans according to the creator just makes me want to strangle it even more. And this person obviously has something against gay people, by his description of Gothic liking purple, but the cool kind, not the gay kind. What is wrong with the apparent 'gay kind' of purple? As far as I know, all purple is the same, it just depends on what perspective you have. And also, his likes and dislikes travel into the real world, and have to do with a kid from the creators school, the creators dad, and other things. Also, he's a total man-wh*re, liking things like sl*ts and other related. His speech is similar to Sans, and literally, he is just a recolor copy of Underfell Sans... that is all I have to sa- wait there's more! Let's not forget about his constant misspelling and slang usage, like seriously? I'm going to have to go to this kids Deviantart and teach him proper Grammer and also how to make an actually good OC. Maybe I'll send him the link to this rant. He needs to see what kind of Bullshit he's put on the internet, and now everyone will know what kind of an asshole he is! Damnit... Nevermind, can't find his Deviantart. Just spent like ten minutes searching for it, but anyway. If anybody has reddit, can you go to that comment and send them the link to this exact rant? He needs to see how to make good OC's...

Jesus F**king Christ... I get so heated over these things, and it's all because I actually bother in looking for flaws in my OC's before I post their picture and story online. It's like these people are just making OC's to get a part in the fandom. Like seriously people! Literally, more than half of those OC's live with Sans and Papyrus, and the most my main OC's have interacted with them is whenever they pass through Snow Din when walking Ghath and Doskel (they may be cats, but they still need to be walked okay...), and it's not even every time! Arial and Jim live in Waterfall, and Arial hates the cold, so they don't go to Snow Din all the time. Not to mention, they don't even get to the town most of the time when they do go. They've maybe OC-cannonly interacted with the Skelebros maybe four or five times. They also sometimes bump into Sans at his Waterfall post or Papyrus on his way to Undyne's house. And it's not very often that they see them. Like I said, four or five times total... TOTAL. It's not like they live with the Skelebros, or even in the same area. It just gets me so mad... seeing people boasting about their OC's that took probably about three minutes to make, when there are people who literally have taken three days to make their OC. I'm not joking, it took three days on making the design for Arial Black, and I'm still kinda working on Jim Nightshade's design. And I haven't even really started on his main info. Y'know what?
