I start the machine and my world goes dark my last thought is of Alexander. He gets to live. That's all I've ever wanted.

Alex's POV

I fell numb like all my emotions have grown wings and flown off as I stared at the lifeless body of the boy I grew up with and fell in love with.

"John."I say my mind becoming consumed by a darkness that will never leave.never.

"JOHN!!!!!!"I scream as if that will bring him back.

"Nonononono, Please Jackie come back please let me see that smile, please...Please."

"please," I say as I finally lose all hope and my heart falls and the truth finally sinks in.

John Laurens is dead.
