First persons POV of Shannon1300  

Some people say you can only have one good friendship with one person. I say different.

I am friends with three other people, not just friends. Best friends. My best friends Kurt Hummel, Rachel Berry, and Santana Lopez.

I know this seems like the oddest bunch of people to be friends, but I wouldn't want it any other way. They've always been there for me when I needed them and I for them.

Sometimes though, we fight. I am not part of this fight and neither is Kurt. We're sitting in the choir room watching Santana and Rachel get in each that's face.

They are currently arguing about who gets the next solo for Glee.

" The solo is mine!" Snapped Rachel. She was pointing at herself as she said this.

Santana looked furious. " You always get the solo. Give someone else a chance for once. " says Santana.

She's trying not to yell, but Rachel is making this really hard for her.

" That's not true. Many people have gotten solos. It's not just me. Even if it was me all the time it's because I have the better voice. " snapped Rachel.

" Do not. I am so much better then you are Berry!" Snapped Santana.

" Oh really. All your good at is your stupid cheerleading stuff. Singing is my area of expertise. So step back and watch!!" Snapped Rachel.

" I swear you are on dangerous territory Rachel. Stop while your ahead. " says Santana.

I look at Kurt. Both of us had concerned looks. We knew this could get ugly fast.

Kurt stands up and walks forward a few steps. This is around the time one of us steps in and stops the fight.

" Guys, stop arguing. This is stupid. " Yelled Kurt.

It was as if it was a funny movie moment where both of them stopped arguing at the same time, looked at Kurt and shouted, " NO!!"

Kurt flinched back at the sudden outburst. He wasn't expecting them to yell at him. I walk forward and hug Kurt protectively.

" Leave him alone. " I growl.

" Stay our of this. It doesn't involve you. " snapped Santana.

Then then went right back to arguing. I tried to tune it out and pay attention to Kurt.

Kurt was my closest friend. Even if we were all best friends, he's was my closest one.

He was a bit hurt by that outburst. I can understand. I would be too if they had yelled at me like that.

Suddenly a loud crack was heard. We turn to the two to see a sigh that shocked us.

Santana held a hand up to cup her right cheek. Tears pooling in her eyes and starting to stream down her face.

She had a stunned look. We look at Rachel. She has the same stunned look, but quickly hides it.

She has her hand raised. She just slapped Santana. Oh my gosh.

I look at Kurt and he's got the same look on his face as I must have.

Rachel sighs in anger and storms out of the room. Both of us hearing her quiet cry's as she left.

We walk up to Santana and try to check her over. She's crying harder now. They may argue a lot, but neither one has ever raised a hand towards the other.

" Are you ok San?" I ask.

" I'm fine. " she says furiously wiping her cheeks of tears. " I just wasn't expecting her to do that. I'm sorry for snapping at you guys. " she says.

" It's ok. You stay here. We're going to go talk to Rachel. " Kurt Says.

She nods and heads over to a chair where she sits down and tries to collect herself.

The two of us then leave in search for Rachel. We find her by her locker. She hadn't made it far before she stopped.

As we neared her, she looked up at us with eyes full of tears. We walk forward and hug her.

" I'm sorry I was so mean. " she said.

" It's ok. You shouldn't have hurt Santana like that Rachel. Your her friend. Friends don't do that to each other. " says Kurt.

" I know. I'm sorry. I just let my anger get the better of me and I know that's no excuse. I need to go apologize to her. " Says Rachel.

" We will join you. " I say.

She smiles at us. Together the three of us head back down the hall towards the choir room.

As we walk in we see Santana is still having trouble calming down. Rachel just burst into more tears. Santana looks and it's as if the two have the same thing in mind.

They take off towards each other. They practically tackle each other in a nine crushing hug. Both of them sobbing now.

" I'm sorry!!" They both cried. They then laughed at that. They just kept a on rambling apologies to each other.

" You are right. I do hog all the solos. You can have the next one. " Says Rachel as they calmed down.

" Better yet, we sound better together. Let's see if we can do a duet instead and give Simone else the solo. " says Santana.

Rachel perked up a lot at that. " That sounds amazing San. I'm so good with that. " Says Rachel.

They two them just grinned and hugged each other. I turn and smile at Kurt. Unable to help myself. I hug him tightly. He laughs and hugs me back.

" You my best friend. You know that?" I say.

He smirks. " Yeah, I know. " he says.

I laugh. " You have a such a great voice Kurt. Audition for the solo. " I say.

" That I just might do. " he says.

We then get down next to Rachel and Santana.  They hug us tightly and laugh. See that's the good thing about having best friends you can count on.

No matter how you fight. No matter what you say. Heck, no matter if you hit them. You will always make up and your friendships will be stronger because of it, and that's that.
