Quinn Fabray- Wheelchair (c)
Glee One Shot
It'd been a hard few weeks. Quinn had been in a car accident and left in a wheelchair for the time being until she was fully healed and feeling better, which at this rate wouldn't be anytime soon. She was used to being strong and powerful, being left feeling lost in the pain she felt, she didn't want to leave the house. Since being sent home, she'd forbade anyone visiting her, and wouldn't leave the house. You however cared little for that rule, and visited her every day, taking her school work that she missed and just wanting to make sure that she felt okay and loved.
Finally, it became too much, and you needed to make things change for her. Even if she didn't want to, she needed to go outside and try to make things a bit better for her. You dressed up, more so than you did when you normally visited her, a bunch of flowers at hand as you entered the living room. Quinn sat alone, as she did a lot, sending everyone else away, not wanting to be a burden or people to consider her weak.
"Good morning," you beamed, handing her the flowers.
"What are these for?" She asked.
"Just to tell you that I love you and to ask you out on a date," you smiled at her.
Quinn's expression became sour as she wheeled herself over to the coffee table, placing the flowers down on it.
"I don't want to go out Y/N," she stated.
"I know," you said softly. "But you can't stay in here forever. You are getting stronger and you need to go back to school soon. We'll just go to the park for a bit, get some fresh air and if at any point you want to come back, we'll leave straight away."
"Y/N," she started.
You cut her off, knowing she'd make up some excuse. You loved Quinn and you knew she was scared of what the world would think of her, but you weren't going to let that mean that she never let the world see her again.
"Please Quinn. I promise, we'll come home straight away, even if we don't even get down the path," you smiled.
She let out a sigh and nodded. You grabbed her jacket and quickly headed out of the house, knowing if you paused too long, she would change her mind. You pushed her wheelchair down the road towards the park around the corner. Quinn kept her head down, her jacket pulled around her, attempting to hide herself from any interested eyes.
As soon as you got to the park, you stopped pushing, taking a seat on the floor opposite her.
"What's wrong?" You smiled softly.
"I feel so stupid. You shouldn't have to push my chair, you shouldn't have to do everything for me. I feel useless," she sighed.
You shook your head at her, moving onto your knees so that you were able to take her hands in yours.
"Quinn, you are not stupid or useless. I love you, and that wouldn't change if you were in this chair for the rest of your life, nothing is going to change how much I love you."
She gave you a weak apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry for whining so much," she whispered.
"I know it is hard for you Quinn, but it will get easier with time and I am always going to be by your side."
