Jurassic World One Shot

As soon as you heard the indoraptor, you knew you had to assist in stopping the creature before it hurt someone. In her creation there was a lot of reliance on being able to gather Blue and her raising the indoraptors, teaching them what Owen Grady had taught her and the other raptors. You'd never had the pleasure to meet Owen Grady but having seen his research and how he had been able to become the Alpha of a pack of raptors, it was amazing, and you wished to learn more.

You had been instructed to watch over the indoraptor and try to follow in his footsteps. There had been a vague bond between the two of you. Sometimes she listened, sometimes she followed orders, but it was nothing like the bond you had seen in videos of Owen and Blue. You knew that the indoraptors could be taught to bond with a human if they had an influence of another raptor, but having spent years to barely be able to tell her simple commands wasn't what Eli's clients wanted nor was it something you were comfortable with when it came to a killing machine being given to someone who had no way to control it. It'd be a ticking time bomb, without very long left on the timer.

All people in the building were armed with was overcomplicated tasers and guns, neither of which would be able to subdue a creature so resilient as the indoraptor that you were certain was now on the run.

You followed the screams of people and the roaring of the creature. Silence sent a shiver down your spine, no certainty of where the creature was or what it was doing. As you heard gentle tapping you knew it was in the room next door.

Swinging the door open, there was the dinosaur with Owen Grady stood before it. You were excited to be able to meet him, however there was a far more pressing issue in the room.

Quickly you whistled, knowing that was the only way you had once been able to get it to listen. She turned towards you, dead and cold eyes making your blood turn to ice.

"Come on girl," you croaked, turning out of the room, and running as fast as your legs could take you.

You could hear the indoraptor following behind you, crashing into things as you continued to whistle, making sure it knew where you were in the house and followed behind you. As you neared the main hall where the auction had been held, you knew that you only had one shot at doing this as the indoraptor wouldn't listen to you for anything else.

Running past the cage towards the back, you saw Owen following behind you.

"Behind the door," you screamed, hoping Owen knew what you were talking about.

He got behind the cage door as you brought the creature back towards the entrance of its cage. Speeding up to your limit, you ran towards the barred door of the cage that was swung open.

"Now!" You shouted, jumping up onto the door, scrambling to the top.

Owen pushed the door to close it, knocking the creature forcing it into its cage. Before the door could close, you'd been able to climb to the top of the cage door, throwing yourself over the top, so Owen could lock it but as he closed the latch you fell from the top onto him, sprawling the both of you out of the floor.

You looked to the door as the indoraptor slammed itself into the door. It was locked and the two of you were safe.
