Katherine Pierce- Bar (c)
The Vampire Diaries One Shot
Life had changed. You had been born in the early 16th Century, a time where life was filled with fear and rules for everyone to abide by; not simply just laws, but social guides that without abiding by, you'd be removed from the society by force if needs must. Demons were a common fear, something to keep everyone in line, fearing what their fate would be if they did not. You didn't truly believe in demons until you, yourself became one. A vampire. You were a vampire, a fate that terrified you, but now it seemed as more of a blessing, to have grown with a world where acceptance and freedom were richer.
It was now the 21st Century, and you were happy. As a human, you'd been arranged to marry the baker's son but with everyone thinking you dead, that never came to be. Now you were in a relationship with another vampire- Katherine Piece. You'd have never dreamed of being in a relationship with a woman when you were human, but now, you'd have it no other way. When you were a human, you'd have been hung for professing your love to a woman, but now it wasn't nearly as frowned up, but still a taboo.
You and Katherine were at an old bar. It was dingy and dark, but they served cheap drinks and played good music. The two of you stood by the bar waiting for your drinks, when a group of girls joined you, giggling away. One of them stared at your interlocked fingers, letting out a loud tutting noise.
"Bloody lesbians," she said in her snotty, high pitched voice.
Although you tried to stay calm and ignore her comments, Katherine didn't take too lightly to anyone being mean to you. She let go of your hand turning towards the woman and her friends. You feared she'd slaughter the whole bar, but when a clearly fake smile curled onto her lips, you knew that no blood would be shed.
"Keep your nose out of where it doesn't belong. Don't make me pop your ten grand sand bags honey," Katherine spat.
"What did you say to me bitch?" The woman screeched.
Katherine stopped her. "Leave."
She compelled the woman, getting her to turn on her heel and leave. Her friends seemed confused but scurried after the woman. Katherine turned back to you.
"Thank you for standing up for us," you smiled warmly.
"Anytime. No one says bad things about my woman."
