William Thacker- Cutlery (h)
Notting Hill One Shot
Relationships weren't always a constant thing for everyone, and it was strange when it became something constant.
You had been with people over the years but the majority of the time it ended in one way or another. It was never anyone's fault per say but it just didn't work out.
The relationship you had with William was different – the two of you had been friends for a few months before he'd asked you out on a date.
Six months down the line it was as if the two of you had been together for much longer.
People would always tell you how things would be different with the right person, that you'd have a different experience if they were the right person and a part of you thought that William was that person.
Spike had gone away for the weekend so that meant that you and William were able to have the house to yourselves.
It was strange that the two of you were able to be so comfortable with each other after so little time of being together.
It just worked and that's what the two of you were happy with.
As it was Sunday morning, you'd decided to make William breakfast before he woke up.
You'd put some music on whilst you cooked as you weren't going to do it in silence but out of habit you began to dance along to it.
Just as you were beginning to sing along, you heard chuckling from behind you.
You turned around to see William stood there in a pair of pyjama bottoms with a smile on his face as he looked at you.
"Can I help you?"
William chuckled but shook his head. "I'm just admiring the view I have."
You laughed as you began to plate up his food. "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."
He sat down, the smile still present on his face.
"Can you put the cutlery out please?"
William nodded, getting up to do what you had asked as you put out a couple of placemats.
The two of you eventually sat down to eat, but William sat there for a few moments before he ate.
"You know what I just thought?"
You smiled before taking a sip of your drink. "Do tell me what's going on in that wonderful brain of yours."
He chuckled, reaching out to hold your hand over the table.
"You always have too much in your head anyway."
"I came down here and saw you just lost in your own world, dancing away whilst cooking," he told you with a fond smile. "Wearing my shirt, that I always love seeing you in."
You squeezed his hand affectionately. "Your shirts are comfier than mine – must just be well worn."
He laughed at your words. "I just wanted to say that I love you."
A blush crossed your cheeks after he'd spoken as well as the surprised expression across your face.
"Hey, you don't need to say it back or anything like that Love."
"I do love you, and it's crazy that I can feel that way for someone after half a year, but I do."
A sigh of relief left his mouth before he leant over the table to kiss you gently.
"How about you tuck into the food I lovingly made for you?"
He chuckled, holding your hand again and looking straight into your eyes. "I love you Darling."
"You told me about two minutes ago, but I love you too."
