The Big Bang Theory One Shot

Most people were surprised when you had ended up with Sheldon, as the two of you were nothing alike and Sheldon was still hurting from Amy saying no to him.

You had a few things in common with Sheldon, and that was good, but it was also an upside that the two of you had your own things to enjoy – but also got to introduce the other to what you loved.

When the two of you started dating, it surprised Sheldon's friends that you could hold an intellectual conversation with him as they thought only Amy could do that.

Luckily, they stopped comparing you to Amy once they realised Sheldon was properly with you.

As Leonard was staying with Penny in her apartment, you had decided to stay for the weekend with Sheldon.

You were stood in the kitchen in one of Sheldon's work shirts whilst he was sat on the sofa in a t-shirt and some pyjama bottoms, which everyone said was very unlike him whilst he was with Amy, but he never seemed to tell you that he had an issue with it.

You walked back over to the sofa, handing Sheldon his drink before sitting down next to him and curling up into his side.

"What are we watching?" you question as he wrapped his arm around you.

He smiled down at you. "I thought we could watch a TED talk."

"I've never seen one all the way through, but what is this one about?"

"It's called the psychology of evil."

You nodded in acknowledgment. "The psychologist Zimbardo did this one, didn't he?"

"He did," he confirmed with a smile on his face.

Sheldon stated the talk and you continued to cuddle up to him as it played.

You felt quite content as the two of you sat there, enjoying each other's company and no words seemed to be needed.

The both of you had had that kind of relationship ever since it had begun, you were completely fine with sitting there and each of you doing your own thing or watching something in silence as the two of you were grateful for each other's company.

"I'm surprised you're not wanting to go out."

You looked up at Sheldon in confusion. "Why?"

"Well most girls prefer to go out with their boyfriends. And yet you're more than happy to sit here and watch something you're not even that interested in."

You laughed slightly and leant up to kiss Sheldon's cheek. "For the record, I am interested in this," you clarified. "And I'm happy to sit here because I'm still with you Sheldon, I still get to be in your company and spend time with you."

He smiled, deciding to lean down and kiss you properly. "I love you," he breathed out making you smile.

You cuddled back up to him, smiling against his shoulder. "I love you too Sheldon."
