Robin Scherbatsky- Locked In (c)
How I Met Your Mother One Shot
Sometimes you wondered which decisions went so badly that you ended up in these peculiar positions. Currently you were sat in a rocking chair in Marvin's nursery having been looked in with your friend Robin. Marshall, Ted, Barney and Lily all stood outside of the door, shouting in at the two of you or laughing at your expense, having been the ones that locked you into the room. Robin sat on the floor, her back against the door, both of you hoping they would find pity and let you escape from your nursery tomb.
"Come on guys," Robin sighed, letting her fist collide with the wood.
"You know the conditions of your release," Lily stated, a joyous tone to her voice.
Both of your sighed. About half an hour ago, they had tricked you both into the nursery and locked the door forbidding your release unless you did as you were told. The conditions to your release was that the two of you admitted that you liked each other. It did seem rather juvenile for four adults to lock two other adults in a room until they admitted their interest for each other, but it wasn't as juvenile once you realised how much you did like Robin. Your friends claimed that it was obvious that the two of you liked each other and it was annoying them to see you pine after each other.
You thought you'd been good at hiding your affections, but you certainly knew that Robin didn't like you.
"Fine, we'll talk about it," Robin stated. "So, Y/N do you like me?"
You could tell she was making a joke of it, but you couldn't help the heat that came to your cheeks at the thought of her finding out how you felt about her.
"N-no," you said softly.
It was obvious that you failed at lying. Your face had flushed bright red and your mouth was dry, making it hard to talk normally.
"Wait... do you like me?" She asked, hesitant this time.
You couldn't even look her in the eye now. Well this was going well for you, you had lost the ability to lie about how you felt anymore.
"You do," she whispered.
There wasn't a point in lying anymore, so you nodded your head.
"I like you too."
Your head snapped up to look at her smile. She liked you too?
"Thank heavens," you heard Marshall sigh from outside the door.
"Finally," Barney added.
"They took their time," Ted continued.
Robin smiled at you. "Maybe we could go for a drink sometime?"
You nodded your head.
