11th Doctor (Return)

You knew the Doctor as a little girl.
You had been 5 when you ran away with him.
He had taken you away from a girls' group home, where you would be severely punished for any little thing the headmistress found appalling.
He had taken you to meet King Arthur and Merlin, you danced with the Doctor at many a legendary concert, and he had helped you watch your favorite stories come to life.
He became your best, and only, friend.
Once you turned 11, however, it all changed.
You had almost been killed by the Vashta Nerada.
He dropped you off at another girls' group home, one he knew was much nicer.
His last words had been short and simple, as you cried in his arms about how you didn't want him to go.
"You must grow up safely, Y/N. You must live the best life you could. And you must become one of the world's most famous writers. You can't do that with me," he had said, "But the adventures you and I shared will always be in our hearts, and be the best stories ever thought of."
And with that, he stepped into his TARDIS and was gone.
10 years came and went, and you were now 21.
You always thought of the Doctor, but after waiting a whole year for him to realize his mistake and come back, you realized you had to move on.
You treated him as a figment of your imagination.
You knew you had to, or you would always find yourself waiting for him.
You couldn't wait forever.
You shook yourself once more out of your thoughts of him.
You zipped up your dress and grabbed your purse, heading outside.
You were going out to have a few drinks with a nice man you had met, Harold Saxon.
Arriving a few minutes early to the bar, you grabbed a corner booth.

Harold slid into the booth a few moments later.
"Hello, Y/N. You look beautiful," he complimented.
"Thank you, Harold. You're quite the view yourself," you smiled.
Harold chuckled.
"What would you like from the bar, love?" he asked.
"Just a bourbon," you stated.
"I'll go get it. Be right back," he winked.
He walked off.
You smiled to yourself, thinking about how you and Harold met.
He had gotten lost in New York City, being a tourist from London.
Lucky for you, he stopped you to ask for directions to a diner.
You wasted no time in suggesting your favorite one, only a couple blocks away.
He offered to take you, and you accepted since you were on your way anyway.
You really hit it off, scheduling a tour bus trip together.
After that, he had asked you to drinks.
Harold returned with your drinks, handing you your bourbon and drinking his vodka.
He seemed jittery.
You didn't want to say anything.
As you got halfway through your drink, you began to feel dizzy.
"Har-Harold," you sputtered.
"It's the Master, love," he told you in a sing-songy voice, lifting you up, "Come along, mustn't leave the Doctor waiting."
You passed out.
When you came to, You were tied to a chair in the center of an empty room.
Harold, or rather, the Master, as he had revealed himself to be.
"The Doctor's little companion. So nice to finally meet you," he smiled, "The Doctor will be coming for you shortly."
"You crazy prick!" you shouted, struggling with your binds.
The TARDIS noise sounded the room.
"There he is," the Master clapped.
The TARDIS sat there, unmoving.
The door didn't open.
The Master frowned.
"I don't like to be kept waiting," he growled.
You felt a hand snake around your mouth, and an arm wrap around your waist.
"Stay quiet. It's me, the Doctor. I'm getting you out of here," you heard.
You closed your eyes and felt lightheaded for a second.
When you shook it off, you realized you were inside the TARDIS.
"New trick?" you weakly joked.
The Doctor showed you a watch.
"Time watch, courtesy of Captain Jack Harkness," he explained.
You were still tied to the chair.
The Doctor prepped the TARDIS for take off, and you heard the Master banging at the door.
"Thanks for coming for me," you said softly.
The Doctor looked at you, untying you from the chair.
"Of course I came for you. Why wouldn't I?" he asked.
"If you could just drop me off in front of my building, that'd be great," you responded, changing the subject, "Thank you."
"You think you're going home?" the Doctor asked.
"Why wouldn't I be?" you questioned.
"The Master might know where you live," the Doctor said.
"Well, I have things to get back to," you said, crossing your arms, "I don't have time to be constantly looking over my shoulder in fear."
"What will you do if he comes for you?" the Doctor asked, crossing his arms as well.
"Have the cop next door shoot him through the head," you suggested.
"Or, instead of getting violent, you could just come back with me. Travel like you never left," he offered.
"I didn't leave. You abandoned me. And I don't want to come back," you pointed out.
"I was just trying to keep you safe, Y/N. Give you a happy life," he sighed, "Didn't you miss it a little?"
"I missed it so much, I waited in front everyday for a year, for you to come back. I missed you so much I had to pretend it was all a dream. I couldn't face it," you admitted, "Which is why it'll hurt too much to come back. Because the next time you ditch me somewhere, I may not be able to recover."
The Doctor stared at you.
He grabbed you in a tight hug.
"I promise I won't leave you again. You can stay for however long you like, I swear. I just need to keep you safe," he spoke.
You sighed, thinking about it.
"Please," he pleaded, a broken tone breaking your walls.
"Okay," you nodded, "Fine."
"Great!" he exclaimed, running around like an excited puppy, "We can go to the diamond planet, or maybe we can go meet mermaids, or we could go this little planet where the animals talk to you except they're all rare creatures, or we could just go to the chocolate planet, or there's this-"
"Doctor, slow down!" you interrupted, laughing.
"Sorry," He smiled, "Just excited to have my little Y/N back again."
He tussled your hair and went back to the console.
"Besides, we have forever to do everything."
