Nothing to do but Wait
Ron's POV
I groaned awake. My head hurt. Philby and Rachel were staring at me. "Are you okay?" asked Rachel. "Yeah, somewhat," I replied. "Did you send the letter?" I asked. "Yeah, Philby wrote it and we sent it. I hope it works," she told me. "Me too," I said. We were quiet for a moment. Then Philby said, "Oh, Ron, when did you wake up?" Rachel and I looked at him funny. "Have you not been paying attention for the last 5 minutes?" Rachel asked. "I haven't been paying for the past 45 minutes," he stated. There was nothing else to do but wait.
Willa's POV
Hermione lead us to her place: a treehouse. It was pretty cool. It seemed like something I would have except mine would have more electronics. She had a small laptop on a desk and that's the only electronic she had. There was a bed. But the coolest thing was the rainbow streamers and decorations. They made the house look festive when without them it treehouse would probably look boring. "Do you want me to get him off your head?" Hermione asked me. Pigwideon was still perched on my head. "Nah, I'm good," I told her. It didn't hurt. And it was actually kind of cool. I mean, how many people can say they've had an owl sit on their head. I knew the answer and there were very few that didn't do shows with owls for a living. "The owl keeps glaring at me," Percy complained. "Then the owl is smart," I replied. Percy humphed. Hermione high-fived me. I pulled out Philby's computer out of my bag. Hermione pulled out a large map and attached it to a bulletin board. She had a box of multicolored pushpins. I pulled out my phone. I used Siri and said, "Siri, where can I go in about 2 hours?" There were 136 locations that came up. "Oh boy," I said. "This could take awhile."
Rachel's POV
We were getting hungry. We still had a whole can of tuna, but we didn't eat it. For one, it was 8 years old. For another thing, neither Philby nor I liked tuna. But the most important reason, the owl had spit it out. If the owl didn't want it, we didn't either. We'd caught a rat and Philby knew which parts were edible (to which I said, "Ew") but none of us knew how to cook it (which Philby said was required to make it edible). So no rat for us. I was a little pleased at the time but now I might change my mind. We didn't use our phones because they might come in handy if we somehow got service. We couldn't use our phones if they were dead. However, we did play many, many rounds of Pokémon. Ron wasn't the best, but he had enough time on his hands to get better. We played with 2 people, and the winner getting to play the person who was sitting out. Ron and Philby were playing when Goonie came in and threw a tray covered in mac and cheese into our cage. "Whatdya say?" he asked. "Thank you," we said in union, through gritted teeth. He left and we divided the meal up and then ate. It was the best mac and cheese I've ever tasted.
Hermione's POV
We'd put green pins on the map with the name of the place at each location. Then we changed the ones we didn't think were where our friends were to white. Either too short a drive or just not where you'd hide someone, we didn't think they were there. We changed the ones we really thought could have them stored in to red. The ones that we thought might have them but were less likely than the ones in red, we marked those orange. We had 13 red and 37 orange. That meant 50 locations. And it was getting dark. "Ok, how about we go to bed and figure out where to look for the in the morning," I suggested. Willa and Percy agreed. I showed them the 2 beds in the treehouse. They were in different rooms so that was alright. I left to go to my bed in my house. "I'll be back in the morning," I told them. And I left.
