Louis furrowed his eyebrows in complete confusion for possibly the umpteenth time. He just didn't understand. For one, how the fuck did his own mother just happen to bump into him in the middle of the street? Doncaster was big enough for someone to move away and never have to see anyone again. It just didn't make any sense.
Why did she look so happy to see him? When he moved out of her house years ago, she looked exuberant to let go of such a waste of space. She was happy when he didn't come home for weeks at a time. She didn't care if he was dead or alive. She didn't care when his own father beat him and threw him out like trash.
And now, she looked ecstatic to see him.
He ran a hand through his hair and groaned in frustration. Eleanor gave him a tight smile as she bustled around her flat, getting ready to go out. She had a photoshoot with someone named Max Hurd. He didn't know who the bloke was but according to Eleanor, he was a great lad.
Louis watched as she slipped on her boots and kissed his cheek quickly as she left the flat. Once the door clicked shut behind her, Louis was pacing around the flat trying to think of the reasons why his mum has popped into his life out the blue. He hasn't seen her in what...four years? And he lost her way before that terrifying night with his father.
His hands trembled and he didn't know how to feel about this entire situation. He wanted to feel loved by his family, it's all he's ever wanted, but what if none of it is true? What if he's making a big deal out of nothing?
He shut his eyes and leaned against the kitchen counter, breathing heavily. His heart was racing as he thought of all the possibilities as to why she wanted to come back into his life right now. None of it made any sense. Unless.
Reality dawned on him. She thinks he's straight. She thinks he's dating Eleanor. How could he have forgotten? His life is being glorified over social media. She probably saw him on the television. Or Lottie probably sees him on her social media.
His mum just wants to take advantage of him. That's all she wants. She doesn't care for him. She wants the perfect son, one that's straight and definitely does not think about men romantically. He frowns as he thinks. His own mother only wants to know him for his fame. He won't allow it. She will never find that perfect son within Louis.

Louis finished the photoshoot for Adidas and went to the dressing room to change into a pair of sweats and a jumper. He texted Eleanor, saying he was on his way back to the flat and pocketed his phone. It's been a little over a week since his run in with Johannah and he was feeling a bit better.
He slipped out of the building, walking down the block quickly, making his way towards the tube.
Him and Eleanor were making amazing money, but they were using it for necessities as of right now. They were waiting until they had enough money to look into buying a good car and maybe even a house together.
He shuffled down the street, walking quickly. He was looking down so he didn't notice the person in front of him until he crashed into them. He let out a small 'oof' and fell backwards. He looked up, ready to apologize, when he saw the person. This could not be happening. How can she just magically find the building where he does his photoshoots?
"Boobear." She breathes, smiling widely. Louis' heart races and he stumbles to his feet, dusting off his backside.
"I don't--don't call me that." He says hugging himself. Johannah smiled at him nonetheless and reached over to touch him. He flinched away and took a step back.
"Don't touch me." He whispers, his voice quiet. He quickly adds, "How did you even find me?"
"Lottie follows you on your social media. Plus, you're everywhere now. Look at you, all grown up now. You've come so far." She says.
"No thanks to you." Louis retorts, looking down.
"That's no way to talk to your mother. Aren't you--" Louis cuts her off with a weak laugh. His hands were shaking violently now and he felt that if he didn't leave soon, he'd throw up.
"You have no right to call yourself my mother. I want nothing to do with you. And you don't want anything to do with me." Louis was enraged. His chest was heaving and his hands were balled into fists against his stomach.
"That's not true--"
"Hell it is! Did you really think I would welcome you with open arms? Did you think I'd cry and be happy to see you? Is that what you though? After everything you put me through?" Louis asks. Johannah doesn't say anything, but give him a tight lipped smile.
"But my parenting worked didn't it? You're not...you're not into boys anymore. You're dating Eleanor, right?" She asks. Louis gives her a dry chuckle.
"You thought that was parenting? Locking up all the food so I couldn't eat? Treating me like shit? Letting my own father beat me to a pulp? That's what you call parenting?" Louis was seething. He shook his head, walking and pushing past her. He only got a few steps out before Johannah gripped his wrist.
"Boobear..."
"Let me go, Johannah." He says through gritted teeth. He pulls his arm away and walks down the block, not daring to look back.
