Look, I need a break from my life. I need a break from all of the monsters, and the quests, and excpecially the lava rock climbing wall. Definatly that. But anyway, my life already sucks. It started last week, when I hadn't know I was a demigod. And you know what? I blame it on a taco, and a fellow demigod that I didn't know was a demigod till a demigod came and told us we were demigods. I mean, we read the books, but we didn't know we would be chosen. Oh yeah, my name is Ben, and the friend is my friend (duh) Lauren. I this is our story of the beginning. It all started with a food fight...
#FLASHBACK
It was lunch time, on the 13th of March, and it was a friday. First thing I thought that day. "WHY CAN'T IT BE A DAM SATURDAY!!!!" I got though band and science and design and modeling and math and LA when, GASP!, it was lunch time.
Now, there was this student, who was friends with Lauren, but of cource not me.(Im just gonna have Abby be a demigod who looks for other demigods. and fyi sorry Teddy_Fanbear ). I was the loner.;). Anyway, I looked over from my table and saw that one of the tables where most of the popular kids were, they started, getting taller. Was it my imagination, probably. At least, i wanted to be. I looked at Lauren's table and saw that her eyes and abby's were wide open, but everyone else was completely normal.
I took a breath, and walked over to Lauren and asked her,
"Do you see that?" pointing to the table with the boys.
"Uh huh," she nods. "Why doesn't any one else see... AHH!" screamed as a taco the size of my hand flew misses right over our head. It landed on Donavan's(haha doonoman326 ) head. People started to laugh at him and donavan decided to thorugh it back at the boys. I was about to say BAD IDEA DONAVAN! when he though as hard as he could at the boys. Itlanded right on the back of Chase's head, at least I think that was his name but honestly I have no idea.
To make matters worse Matilda and Alicia decided to yell "FOOD FIGHT" ultimately causing mass panic.
Chase snarled and grabed a piece of the table and flung it at donavan, setting it on fire at well. Luckily it missed, but most of his hair was gone. The wall that was behind us was obliterated, and Abby was dragging Lauren and I by the hand towards the back door to get us out.
"Come on guys, move it!" she ordered.
"But-but what about the others" I muttered.
"Don't worry, the monsters will be chasing us soon, and the others will be safe. Us on the other hand, will be anything but safe!"
"Great," I heard Lauren whispered "I was in the middle of a good page too."
Lauren is one of the only people who like to read more that I do. And that's a lot of reading.
"It's alright Lauren," Abby explains. "You will be getting all of the books you want when we get to camp."
Camp.... An idea pops into my mind, and I ask "Abby, you don't mean camp Halfblood do you?"
"Well of course I do!" She replies, as it was obvious. Which it kinda was.
We trudged off for another hour before we hop aboard a train heading to New York.
Me and Lauren started asking the questions.
"So, we are demigods right?" Lauren asks
"Of course! If you weren't how do u think I'm here. You two have a strong aura that brought me here." She explains.
She babbles about us being demigods and how awesome camp Halfblood is when something clicked in the back of my mind.
"Umm, Abby?" I ask nervously
"Yeah Ben?" She replies, still happy.
"Didn't you say monsters would be coming after us?" I say.
Abby suddenly stopped talking. She looked around, then looked around. Her face looked so pale I thought she was dead. Lauren did as well.
"They're here aren't they?" Lauren said frightened.
Abby nods, then points behind her. Lauren and I look behind her and we almost screamed.
Behind us was sight almost as horrible as a Donavan without any hair (I still wonder how's he doing?). There were 6 guys, all almost 9 feet tall, with one eye, and messy hair. They looked around, sniffing the air.
Abby looked at us and gave us a clear signal. Get off the train. Now.
I glanced towards the from and saw the emergency stop button. But it was 5 rows of seats in front of me. And those guys weren't getting farther.
Abby seemed to also know what I was thinking. She got up very causally and walked to the front. She put a finger to her lips, then winked at Lauren, and slammed the button.
The car lurched forward, and the monsters were pushed towards the front of the train. Me and Lauren got up and ran the opposite direction that that Abby was.
"ABBY!" Lauren yelled. I grabbed her hand and pulled her along. She sobbed as we managed to jump off the train right before it started to chug along once again. I looked over at Lauren, who was in tears. I was on the verge on crying along with her, but I knew we had to get moving.
"Come on Lauren, we got to get to camp." I said. She nodded, and we trudged along we got to a large forest.
"Do you think this is it?" I asked Lauren.
She was the brains, so I expected an answer from her. She was done crying, and replied back "I hope."
We spent another hour walking until the trees started to thin and there was a lot more bright green than dark green.
Excited, we sprinted towards the light and fields of grass. In the making, I tripped on a tree branch and landed with a crunch. Lauren stopped and turned around asking
"Are you okay Ben?"
I nodded, and said to her "I think my leg's broken though." She shook her head and picked me up and towards the fields. Even half unconscious, the sight was so impressive, I almost forgot my leg was broken. I was an enormous pine tree with a a golden blanket on its branches at a top of on a hill. Below it was even more spectacular. Over 2 dozen of cabins, spread out, but with 12 in the middle formed in a U shape, with a large altar in the middle, with statues all around it. I looked towards the right and I saw a rock climbing wall, with something red flowing down it.
"Lava," Lauren exclaims. "Just amazing."
I look over and see two kids walking towards us, one who was tall with dark black hair and sea green eyes. The girl was a blond, with grey eyes. The only difference between this blond and most others, this one was smart, even though Lauren and I never met her.
"Are you guys okay?" The guy asks
"Noooo," I reply. "We just traveled over 5 states, lost her best friend to some tall dudes with one eye, and I broke my leg, but of course! We are doing fine!" I roll my eyes, and the boy grabbed me, and carried me over to a Big House, with the girl and Lauren trailing behind us.
"Hey dude, what's your name?" The person carrying me asks.
"Ben, and my friend over there is Lauren." I tell him. "What about yours?"
The minute I asked that, I realized who they were
"The name is Percy, and my girlfriend back there is named Annabeth." He says. "And by the way, if your friend's name was abby, she's waiting for you guys at the Big House. But anyway, Welcome to Camp HalfBlood!"
