I'm happy I got a solid difference between the two, like SS has the full-on chicken suit but RQ has only a white hoodie vaguely representing the onesie.
SS with the short haircut, and RQ with longer hair and facial hair.
The fact that SS is just chillin with his trauma but RQ has a more serious demeanor.

Yeah, honestly idk if I'm gonna add the Shadows to the story ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Elan really saw the potential in making a shadowy double of himself in RQ, huh?

I mean, look at the Steve Saga's Shadow Sabre.
He legit had like 3 episodes and just became irrelevant.
Shadow Steve literally took full control of Sabre' account, which meant he WAS the first to have the ability to escape the server, NOT Reality Steve, and yet..
He legit just had a sword fight with Sabre and left Sabre's character afterwards.

Hear me out, SS!Shadow Sabre was, the first time of his creation, potentially able to escape but was an oblivious bean who just wanted to play with swords.
And the second time, when Sabre purposefully made him, Shadow was still just an oblivious bean that wanted to play with fire now.

Oh and little factoid: I draw all RQ villains wearing red gloves.
When they reveal they're evil, the gloves go on. When they turn good, the gloves go off. If they burn them in front of everyone (aka Sabre), they are truly good people.

This lil guy is from that second version of Shadow, that one made with Shadow Stone in, I think, the Nightmare Dimension or sometime around that point.

SS!Shadow Sabre is now a bean in this AU thanks to Woofly's Universe, YT channel, they got their Crossfire meme shown in the latest #FavreMySabreArt review!

Yes, RQ!Shadow is T-posing. Directly behind SS!Shadow.

It's honestly the worst.

Tbh, besides the fact that I could mess up the lineart with coloring, this is the other reason I hate doing it -_-

Like his Steve Saga counterpart, RQ!Sabre is rather scarred. Mentally and physically.

(Slight spoilers)
His most dominant scar is from the Darkness, or Shadow Sabre's creation. There's just a dark gray area below the left eye.
Many of his scars are normal, besides the concerning amount of them. But ya know, gotta do what ya gotta do as a savior ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The neck scar is from Void Steve. Even tho this is his original skin from before he started changing it up, Sabre has his scars from essentially the rest of the story in this fic.

I mean, I haven't been watching RQ much, but I'm basing his lore in the fic around pretty much recent times.
Also why I made the desc's Rainbow Quest section so vague.

Look at how different the shoe colors can be with only a different lighting ;-;

I really like how this drawing turned out tho, it's my first time working with scars and I like how they turned out!

The purple scar is from Sabre merging with Galaxy in the first season, BTW.
The mouth scar is most likely either from drinking Dark Steve's powers and slowly looking more like him, being a vessel for Reality Steve's powers, orrr just a normal scar from some fight ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Compared to RQ, SS!Sabre's scars are more colorful, but they're old.

The most colorful ones are from when he had a Steve's powers, like when he absorbed Rainbow while having Light's powers and became Ultra Sabre. Those scars are on each wrist, one white, one rainbow.

He's got a gray patch along his right arm from Shadow Steve's infection before it took his character over entirely.

SS!Sabre also has the Galaxy Sword in this AU!
When the two Steve worlds got sent to the MHA universe, (an anime, it's a cool superpower kind of world) the things that existed or no longer exist got reset, to a degree.

Some people come back to life, the Galaxy Sword is reforged, yadda yadda yadda.

Yeah, I have this whole headcanon that no matter what version of the Steves you meet- well I mean not like the AUs- but the actual Minecraft stuff like RQ, SS, or like the Steve Series that Shark had done that,
Well, I looked it up and the average adult human height is about 5'9".

The Steves have an average of 6'9". No matter which Steve world you enter, the Steves all have an average of 6'9".
No it ain't for the funny number I just added an extra foot to the original to explain why they're all ridiculously tall.
And y e a h, these may be my design for each of the characters unrelated to the fic too.

Okay, so maybe I didn't include one of the characters-
Well, RQ!Dark has yet to be introduced in the fic.
So I'm gonna show the character ref but it's meant for later, o k a y?

My favorite dark boi, he's even got new boots made by Sabre!
He's my new favorite, and let's just say my original plan to introduce him is gonna contradict the lore sooo bad.

I'm still upset that I can't say it's sticking to the canon.

He's got a littl orange flower,,. U^,U

And yup, his gray coat's got all seven colors! The colors start from (your) left to right on the front, with it closed you can see all of them lined up ^~^

There's also a rainbow patch he sewed on himself on the upper back, it's got a little orange lining.
His friends made the new outfit for him! :D

And yea, as I mentioned before, the red gloves are no longer present! He burned them in front of Sabre after officially being on his side.

And finally, a little comic sort of thing I finshed yesterday!

If you want to read the "lore" I wrote for them, you should go to my book "When Three Worlds Meet" and click on the "Art Apology" chapter!! It's exclusively Steve Saga lore, too!

My current headcanon is that SS Sabre has code-like eyes, and so has a green-and-black binary code theme, so more like glitches than infection.

Meanwhile, RQ Sabre has normal greenish-teal eyes, but his left eye has some faint Darkness still there, making his pupil glow and the whites of his eye appear gray.
RQ has a dark gray-to-gray theme, kinda a mix between rock and liquid (kinda representing Darkness) with some greenish-teal thrown in.

The comic takes place during the season 2 finale of the Steve Saga, so if you don't want spoilers of that I suggest you don't continue.

This panel is essentially the end of that video, the "I Put The Steve Saga In Danger" one.
I don't like how yellow his skin looks >_<

This is essentially what I imagine had occurred to the world after the End Crystal explodes; Diamond Steve is just on the edge of the danger area, but manages to escape alive. The Guardian, Alex, and Emerald Steve were far enough from the lab to be able to survive the blast with the use of an energy shield.

But then the Virus/the Entity who spawned the bedrock starts dragging any powerful being in with that explosion energy.
Those four manage to escape but two are in need of recovery due to overusage of energy.

[Warning for blood]

Sabre dies, and is falling into the void as the Entity had predicted.
It pushes Reality Saga Sabre's soul to Crack, resulting in two dormant pieces, Rainbow Qusst and Space Saga, and an active piece, the Virus Saga.

RS!Sabre's body takes the VS soul piece, and is mostly healed besides the chest wound caused by the crystal. That ends up being a huge scar there in the fic.
The crystal shards are still nearby.

RQ!Sabre's body is created from the gray mist coming from the soul split, but his body stays dormant. His story has yet to begin.
He doesn't have the memories of the other soul.
Seven crystal-like particles, of seven colors, dance around his head, waiting to enter the future world they would represent.

Space Saga!Sabre's soul piece stays dormant, and doesn't form a third vessel.
Instead, it sticks by Reality Saga!Sabre, who is now Virus Saga!Sabre.
It waits.
Because it must take VS and revert them back into a Steve Saga character, Space Saga!Sabre. A.K.A, SpS.
If that doesn't work out, the SpS soul will form a new vessel, but replicate the memories of VS, RS, and the original SS memories.

The Virus/Entity sends off their little creation, VS!Sabre, into their world. And follows.
Leaving RQ!Sabre's world to slowly manifest within the empty void for creation after both Sagas are abandoned.

Ya know what, imma add this last bit to the other book, I really like it and it explains the whole thing much clearer.
