It was late at night. Shehnaaz and Mayank were walking in some empty jungle area. She had no idea where he was taking her.

"Mayank hum itni der se chal rahe hai. Ab toh baata de hum jaa kaha rahe hai? Woh bhi aise jungle ke raaste se?" Asked Shehnaaz being confused.

"Jungle ke raaste se jaana padh raha hai taa ki koi dekh na le. Yaaha se seedha station pohuch jaayenge aur phir humesha ke liye yeh seher chhor ke bhag jayenge." Said Mayank while walking.

Shehnaaz suddenly stopped hearing that.

"Bhag jaayenge matlab?" She asked with disbelief. "Tu isliye mujhe yaaha laaya hai? Tune ek baar bhi mujhse pucha ki mujhe bhagna hai yaa nahi?"

Mayank turned to her and said, "Iss mein puchhne wali kaunsi baat hai? Shehnaaz agar hum nahi bhage toh woh Sidharth kabhi hum dono ko ek nahi hone dega. I know tu abhi bhi mujhse pyaar karti hai. Tu sirf Sidharth ke darr ki wajah mujhse dur reh rahi."

"Yeh tu kya bol raha hai? I thought uss din humare bich sab kuch clear hogaya tha lekin......" Shehnaaz paused for a while and said, "Dekh Mayank, yeh sach hai ki main Sidharth se darti hoon. Mujhe darr hai ki agar main tere se dur nahi rahi toh woh tujhe kuch kar dega. Aur tu mera dost hai, main nahi chahti tere saath kuch bura ho. Lekin iss se bhi bada sach yeh hai ki main Sidharth ka bharosa nahi tod sakti. Pyaar karne lagi hoon main uss se."

Mayank became shocked hearing that and asked with disbelief, "Kya kaha tune? Tu Sidharth se pyaar karti hai?"

Shehnaaz smiled sadly and said, "Paata hai. Sun ne mein bohut ajeeb lag raha hai. Actually bohut ajeeb hai. Lakh galtiyon ke bawajood usne jaise mera khayal rakha, jaise mujhe pamper kiya, jaise mujhe apna pyaar jataya, main reh hi nahi paayi uss se pyaar kiye bina. Maine itni baar bhagne ki koshish kiyi phir bhi usne mujhpe trust kar ke mujhe college aane diya, even prom night pe aane ke liye bhi maan gaya, sirf mere liye. Aaj agar main tere saath bhag gayi, toh uska bharosa tut jayega, jo main nahi hone de sakti. Kyu ki main uss se pyaar karti hoon. Haala ki yeh baat alag hai ki aaj usne mera bharosa toda hai. Mujhe toh ab bhi yakeen nahi ho raha ki Sidharth aisa mere saath kar sakta hai......"

"Usne kuch nahi kiya." Said Mayank with guilt. "That was all my plan."

"What?"

Mayank nodded in yes and said, "Mujhe nahi paata tha ki tu Sidharth se pyaar karne lagi hai. Mujhe laga tha Sidharth tujhe force kar raha hai uske saath rehne ke liye. Isliye main tujhe Sidharth ke qaid se azad karna chahta tha. Mujhe paata tha prom night pe agar tu aayi toh Sidharth tujhe akele nahi aane dega. Woh tere saath aayega hi. Aur main yeh hi chahta tha. Socha tha woh udhar busy rahega aur hum dono idhar se bhag jaayenge. Unn ladkiyon ko maine hi bheja tha usko drink karwa ke, usse seduce kar ke, usse busy rakhne ke liye. I'm sorry."

"Tu pagal ho gaya hai kya Mayank?" Shehnaaz almost screamed. She was very disappointed.

"Tu abhi ke abhi unn ladkiyon ko maana kar aur mujhe waha wapas chhor ke aa. I want to go back right now."

"Shehnaaz don't worry. Hum abhi wapas chalte hai. Trust me, mujhe itna sab kuch paata hota toh main kabhi aisa plan banata hi nahi. Main tera bura nahi chahta Shehnaaz. Agar tu Sidharth ke saath khush hai toh main tere liye aur bhi zyada khush hoon. I just want to see you happy, chahe hum dono saath ho yaa naa ho."

Shehnaaz smiled and said, "Paata hai Mayank. Tabhi toh tu mera itna accha dost hai. Now please let's go back. Yaaha zyada der rukna thik nahi hai."

Mayank nodded and they were about to go back when they heard a gunshot.

They both got scared hearing the sound of then gunshot when suddenly their eyes fell on Sidharth and his men who were coming towards them.

"Sidharth...." Uttered Shehnaaz in a low voice.

Meanwhile Mayank gulped his saliva thinking about himself.

Sidharth stood in front of them and said, "Tum dono ko kya laga? Mere nak ke neeche se bhagne ka plan banaoge aur mujhe paata bhi nahi chalega? Itna pagal samjha hai mujhe?"

Shehnaaz realised that Sidharth was thinking that they made this plan together.

But before she could say anything, he looked at Mayank and said, "Maine tujhe unn ladkiyon se baat karte hue dekh liya tha. Tere plan ke baare mein jaan ne ke liye acting kar raha tha main uss waqt. Aur tune uss hi mauke ka fayda uthaya."

Sidharth paused for a while and said, "Waise plan accha tha tum dono ka. Mujhe dhoke se prom night pe laa ke, mera dhyan bhatka ke bhag jaane ka. Lekin ek chhoti si galti kar diyi. Shehnaaz bhul gayi ki uske phone pe tracker hai jis se har waqt mujhe uski location ka paata rehta hai. Woh duniya ke kisi bhi kone mein jaa ke chhup jaaye main usse waha se dhund ke laa sakta hoon. Isliye uske bhagne ki koshish bekar hai."

Shehnaaz nodded in no with teary eyes and said, "Sidharth aisa nahi hai....."

"CHUP!" Yelled Sidharth making Shehnaaz shiver. "Ek baar phir mujhe chhor ke jaane wali thi na tu? Bharosa kiya tha maine tujhpe aur tune usse tod diya. Bohut galat kiya tune. Ab teri iss galti ka anjaam Mayank ko bhugatna padega."

"Nahi. Main tumse request karti hoon. Mayank ko jaane do."

"Tujhe mujhse alag karne ki koshish kiyi usne. Saza toh usse milke rahegi."

Saying that, Sidharth looked at Mayank angrily.

"Woh main... Main bas...."

Before Mayank could say anything, Sidharth gave a solid punch on his face and he fell on the ground.

Then Sidharth indicated his men who followed his order and started beating Mayank brutally.

"Mayank!"

Shehnaaz was going to save him but Sidharth grabbed Shehnaaz's hand tightly and took out his gun from another hand.

"Sidharth...Sidharth please... Please chhor do usse. Dekho tum galat soch rahe ho. Jaisa tumhe lag raha hai waisa kuch bhi nahi hai. Main nahi jaa rahi thi tumhe chhor ke." Said Shehnaaz crying.

Sidharth was holding Shehnaaz's one hand tightly while his another hand was pointing his gun at Mayank who was being badly beaten by his men. Sidharth's eyes were bloodshot red which were expressing his anger.

"Sidharth please trust me. Mujhe toh paata bhi nahi tha inn sab ke baare mein. Aur yeh Mayank, yeh toh pagal hai, bewakoof hai. Lekin iske irade galat nahi the. Mere kehne ke baad yeh mujhe tumhare paas chhorne aane wala tha. Hum nahi bhagte. Isliye main keh rahi hoon, yeh sab chhoro aur ghar chalo please."

Shehnaaz pleaded but Sidharth turned deaf ear to her words. He was badly hurt thinking that Shehnaaz tried to run, that too with Mayank.

"Sidharth main keh raha hoon ki isko filhaal chhor dete hai aur seher se bahar bhej dete hai taa ki yeh Shehnaaz se phir kabhi mil na paaye." Said Kushal to which Shehnaaz nodded in agreement.

"Sidharth idhar dekho meri taraf." Said Shehnaaz and Sidharth looked at her. "Tumhe toh paata hai maine tumhe accept kar liya hai. Main kyu jaana chahungi tumhe chhor ke? I'm ready to live with you forever. Ghar chalo uske baad tum jo bologe woh hi hoga. Hum shaadi kar lenge, thik hai? Filhaal Mayank ko chhor do."

Sidharth somewhere found genuineness in her eyes but the way she told him to leave Mayank, it broke his heart. He misunderstood her thinking that she was still in love with Mayank. It made him angry to no end. He couldn't tolerate that she would love someone else other than him. He thought that if he kept Mayank alive she would continue to love him and never accept him fully.

"Sab hoga Shehnaaz. Hum shaadi karenge, saath rahenge. Lekin uss se pehle iss Mayank ko marna hoga." He said coldly.

Before Shehnaaz could react, Sidharth pulled the trigger and shot Mayank on his chest.

Within few seconds, Mayank's body collapsed and Shehnaaz became numb seeing the dreadful scene.

Everyone became shocked seeing Sidharth killing Mayank without having any second thought. They knew that Sidharth would beat the shit out of Mayank but they didn't expect that he would kill him.

Kushal went to him and said, "Yeh tune kya kiya Sidharth? Yeh humare usoolon ke khilaaf hai. Hum sirf apne dushman aur bure logo pe goli chalate hai. Aise ek bekasoor ladke ko jaan se maar dena, that's not our style."

Nawaz Bhai also went to him and said, "Yeh maarne pitne tak toh thik tha lekin yeh kuch zyada hogaya....."

Sidharth suddenly showed his hand stopping him.

"I know what I am doing. Iss laash ko thikane laaga dena."

Saying that, Sidharth dragged Shehnaaz towards his car while she was looking at Mayank's dead body. She was too shocked to even react.

After sometime...

Sidharth threw Shehnaaz inside her room angrily who fell on the bed and started crying. He closed the door from outside and went to his room while others were scared seeing his anger.

Going inside his room, Sidharth started breaking all the things. He was deeply hurt by Shehnaaz's attempt to run away. His trust was completely broken.

"Kyu kiya tune aisa Shehnaaz? Mujhe laga tha ki saath rehte rehte tu bhi mujhse pyaar karne lagi hai. Tu Mayank ko bhul chuki hai. Par woh bas meri galatfahmi thi. Tu aaj bhi Mayank se pyaar karti hai. Mera bharosa tod ke mere andar ke Devil ko tune ek baar phir jaga diya. Aur ab yeh Devil tujhe apna bana ke rakhne ke liye kuch bhi karega." Said Sidharth in his mind and fisted his palm.

On the other hand, Shehnaaz was standing at the balcony and crying continuously thinking that Mayank died because of her. Though she didn't love him but he was a very good friend of her. She never expected that he had to die like this.

"Mayank ko maarne ki kya zaroorat thi Sidharth? Woh toh waise bhi chala jaata humari life se. Ek baar meri baat maante, mujhpe bharosa kar ke dekhte. Kya yeh hi hai tumhara pyaar? Ki jis se tum pyaar karte ho uske apno ko aise berahmi se maar do? Main kitni pagal thi jo tum jaise insaan se sach mein pyaar karne lagi thi. Kuch pal ke liye sab kuch bhul gayi thi, tum kaun ho, kya karte ho, sab kuch. Socha tha tum badal jaaoge, main apne pyaar se tumhe badal dungi. Par aisa nahi hota. Tum rakshas ho aur rakshas kabhi nahi badalte. Mujhe toh ghin aa rahi hai yeh soch ke ki main tumse pyaar kar baithi. Tum kabhi mere pyaar ke layak the hi nahi. Tum toh sirf nafrat ke layak ho. I hate you Sidharth Shukla. Nafrat karti hoon main tumse." Said Shehnaaz with despise and burst into tears. She was very much hurt seeing Sidharth's cruelty. She couldn't believe that he was same person with whom she had fallen in love. Once his actions forced her to love him and now his actions forced her to hate him again.

"Sirf nafrat hi karegi? Badla nahi legi? Uss admi ko tabah nahi karegi jisne tere kareebi insaan ko jaan se maara hai?"

Hearing the voice, Shehnaaz turned behind and became shocked seeing the person who was standing there.

"Yeh aise aashu bahane uss ladke ki atma ko shanti nahi milegi. Tujhe inn aashuon ko apna hathiyar bana na hoga aur Sidharth se apna badla lena hoga. Yeh kaam sirf tu kar sakti hai Shehnaaz. Uss rakshas ko sirf tu rok sakti hai. Agar tune aisa nahi kiya toh aaj Mayank gaya hai, kal uski jagah koi aur jaayega, sayad tere Maa Baap. Iss se pehle aisa kuch ho, khatam kar se uss rakshas ko, barbaad kar ke rakh de usse. Usse lag raha hai ki woh jeet gaya hai lekin tujhe usse baatana hoga ki yeh anth nahi hai. Yeh toh bas suruwaad hai, uski tabahi ki."

Shehnaaz couldn't understand what to say. She just kept looking at the person while a lone tear escaped her eyes.
