donghyuck's eyes shot open as the first note of his alarm rang, the tanned male sitting up immediately and shutting it off.

"it's today..." he let out, his heart beating fast in his chest as his eyes fell on the giant poster of his favourite group glued on the wall right in front of him.

he couldn't believe that this day had finally arrived.

today was july, 24th.

today, donghyuck would meet super m.

the tanned male jumped slightly at the sound of a weak knock on his door, before he hopped to his feet and pulled the door open energetically, revealing his half-asleep flatmate.

"i see you're up already..." jaemin mumbled, his voice hoarse.

"of course, i am!" donghyuck exclaimed happily. "i'm meeting super m in two hours!"

"yeah..." jaemin hummed before walking towards the bathroom.

donghyuck ignored his tired best friend and rushed back inside the comfort of his room to rummage through his closet and find the perfect clothes for the day.

the outfit choice was very important in this very situation.

not only donghyuck wanted to look presentable and handsome to catch the eye of his favourite group and member, but he also wanted to feel comfortable. he couldn't imagine what they would be doing all day, but he already knew he wouldn't appreciate the day fully if his outfit came to bother him.

after long minutes of reflexion, a few curse words, and speed-changing a few times, donghyuck had finally found the perfect clothes for the day. he was dressed in a pair of black tight and high-waisted jeans in which he had loosely tucked a large black silk button-up shirt. he had accessorised it with a pair of white sneakers as a few golden pieces of jewellery.

the tanned male then headed towards the bathroom, annoyedly sighing when he realised jaemin was still locked inside.

"jaemin! move your ass! i need to get ready!" he banged loudly on the door.

"yeah, i'm almost there!" his best friend's voice replied immediately. "go have breakfast or something."

donghyuck sighed but obliged, taking a big bowl of cereal before rushing to the bathroom when he had finally finished eating. the boy brushed his teeth energetically before concentrating on his hair. donghyuck's honey locks looked awfully messy today, but he managed to tame them with a bit of hairspray.

next, donghyuck did his makeup. he didn't want something too extravagant considering that this was nothing like a party, but he knew pictures would be taken, and he wanted to look gorgeous for that. he settled on a simple glittery look, slightly darkening his eye-lid to create a simple and discreet faded cat-eye look. he finished the look with a light pink gloss, and sprayed a bit of cologne before exiting the bathroom.

"jaemin! are you ready?!" he yelled, passing his head through jaemin's door to find his best friend arranging his hair in front of his mirror.

"we still have an hour, don't rush things." jaemin declared, looking at the time on his phone.

"but we need to be there a bit early." donghyuck assured. "and we need to get there as well. what if there's an accident on the road?!"

jaemin rolled his eyes at his best friend's panicked state. "we're going in a minute then. let me just grab something to eat quickly."

"quick, then!"

"oh my god, we're at sm entertainment." donghyuck gasped, both of his hands glued to the car's window as he stared at the huge building jaemin was driving next to.

"that's where you'll be for the day, hyuck, so yes." jaemin replied with a smile.

"i'm so- "

the tanned male was cut by the sound of his ringtone, making him pull his phone out and see a group call from his friends. he didn't hesitate to pick up.

"hey guys!" he exclaimed. "look where i am!"

"hey hyuck!" chenle waved at the camera.

"excited, aren't we?" jeno chuckled.

"oh, it's not excitement at that point." jaemin said, loud enough for the boys on the phone to hear.

donghyuck tilted the phone to the side so that his friends could see jaemin driving.

"i bet you didn't even need to wake him up." renjun spoke.

"tell me about it!" jaemin laughed, his eyes concentrated on the road.

"anyway, hyuck, we were calling because we wanted to wish you a happy birthday again!" sungchan declared.

"yeah, and we hope you'll enjoy your late birthday present." jisung nodded.

"oh my god, i will." donghyuck nodded. "you can't imagine how excited and happy i am right now."

"trust me, he is." jaemin added, making all the boys on the call laugh.

"you look very pretty hyuck, i'm sure super m will know how to appreciate your charms!" shotaro spoke sincerely.

"yeah, silk shirt with an open button at the top..." jeno whistled. "who are you trying to hook up with?"

"shut it jeno!" donghyuck rolled his eyes making the other laugh again.

"guys, i think it's time for us to get inside." jaemin declared after he had parked the car. "hyuck has idols to meet."

"enjoy your day hyuckie!"

"bye, hyuck!"

"tell us everything when you come back!"

"and send us pictures!"

"i will guys, thanks again!" donghyuck waved at the camera. "love you!"

donghyuck hung up, letting out a loud sigh as he got out of the car.

"i'm so nervous right now. i'm sweating buckets." donghyuck informed as him and jaemin were walking towards the budling's entrance.

"and you have no reason to be, so calm down." jaemin reassured his best friend.

"but what if they don't like me? or what if i embarrass myself like i always do? i won't know how to act! oh my god..."

"hey, hyuck? look at me."

the tanned male stopped walking, facing jaemin as the younger boy placed his hands on donghyuck's shoulders, looking at him deep in the eye.

"you, lee donghyuck, are the most incredible person to exist. no one in their sane mind could hate you with how lovable you are. and the mere sight of your happy face could light up a whole country. so, i want you to trust yourself, and to meet super m with your brightest smile on, because you deserve to be happy and meet your favourite idols, okay?"

donghyuck gulped, trying to hold back his tears at his friend's sweet words. he could be sobbing in jaemin's arms right now, but he didn't want to smudge his makeup before meeting his idols.

"thank you jaemin. i love you so much..." donghyuck pulled his friend in a hug, making the other smile.

"and i love you too." jaemin replied. "now, let's get you to the entrance, because i don't want you to be late."

both friends arrived in front of the building a minute later, a woman wearing formal clothes asking the reason of their visit. donghyuck pulled out his birthday present from his pocket and handed it to the lady.

"welcome, mister lee. please get inside and ask one of the staff to guide you in." she gave donghyuck a smile.

the tanned male faced his best friend one last time, flashing him a smile as his heart started beating faster than ever.

donghyuck then entered the huge building, his mouth opening in shock at the beauty of the place.

"hello, sir. can i help you?" another woman appeared next to him.

"h-huh, yes, please." donghyuck stuttered, handing her the ticket.

"oh, you're the last participant in the 'one day with super m' program!" she exclaimed. "please, follow me. the others are already here."

donghyuck obliged, walking behind the woman as he stared amazingly at his surroundings, his heart beating even faster if possible. his eyes diverted from person to person, checking if he couldn't catch a glimpse of another idol mindlessly walking around the entertainment company.

"here, please make yourself comfortable. someone will come and take you to super m in a few minutes." she said, opening a door to donghyuck.

"thank you." the male replied, entering the room as his eyes fell on six girls, sitting on the sofas of the room.

the girls all seemed to be around his age, and they looked very pretty in donghyuck's mind. the tanned male even started feeling insecure being in the same room as such pretty girls that had dressed so beautifully to meet their idols.

the girls all stared at him with curious eyes, slightly making donghyuck uncomfortable.

"h-hello..." he mumbled shyly, waving his hand.

"hi." a girl waved back. "are you there for the 'one day with super m' thing too?"

"y-yes." donghyuck nodded as the girls gasped collectively.

"oh my god you're a fanboy!" another exclaimed. "that's so cute!"

"i thought they would have picked girls only." the one next to her shrugged it off.

"please, come and have a sit with us." a fourth girl patted the space next to her. "my name is younghae, i'm 20 and my super m bias is baekhyun." she said, then looking at the girl next to her so that she could introduce herself.

"heeyung. i'm 23 and can't decide whether i prefer ten or taemin." she said.

"i'm eunjin and taeyong biased. oh, and i'm 21." the girl next to her continued.

"i'm miyeon and i came here with my friend inhye. we're both 19." another of the girls spoke, smiling at donghyuck. "my biases are taeyong and ten."

"and mine is kai." inhye added, waving at donghyuck sympathetically.

donghyuck then turned towards the last girl, waiting for her to introduce herself. but she didn't.

"ryuwon, aren't you going to introduce yourself?" eunjin asked.

"yeah, sorry. ryuwon, korean-american from san fransisco, 20, and in love with lucas." she introduced herself, barely giving donghyuck a glance.

the tanned male felt a pang in his chest when he heard the name of his bias being pronounced.

what did he expect anyway? lucas was so popular and so handsome... of course he had lots of pretty girls swooning over him.

"what about you? what's your name?" younghae asked, tilting her head to the side.

"i-i'm donghyuck. i'm 21 and my bias is lucas too."

before one of the girls could answer, the door of the room opened, and a man entered asking for their attention for a few minutes.

donghyuck listened carefully as the man explained the safety measures to apply and some basic rules that they had to respect during this day in super m's company.

after what felt like hours, the six girls and donghyuck were invited to follow him as he would lead them towards the dance practice studio, where super m would be waiting for them and performing 'we do' before starting the day in their company.

needless to say, donghyuck's heart was beating faster than it had ever had as he got closer to meeting his favourite group every second. the other girls by his side seemed to be in the same ecstatic phase as him.

"here we are." the man informed, stopping in front of a door and facing the seven participants. "please, remember the rules. breaking one of them could lead to you being removed from the program before its end."

the seven participants nodded obediently, shaking in apprehension as the man pushed the door open and invited them in.

donghyuck tried his best not to faint as he entered the room and lifted his head slowly, being greeted by the seven members of super m standing in a line with smiles on their faces.

"hi guys, we are super m!"
