"the what?" donghyuck questioned, his fingers tracing the silverish letters of the black cardboard ticket.

he had never heard about this program. it was something completely foreign to him, which was weird, because he was always aware of the latest news about his favourite group.

one day with super m? what did that even mean?

"the 'one day with super m' program." jaemin repeated.

"i know, i can read." donghyuck rolled his eyes at his best friend. "but what is it?"

"basically, you spend a whole day with super m." shotaro explained.

"it's a fan meeting?"

"not really..."

"a concert?"

"no..."

"a reality show?"

"nope."

donghyuck furrowed his brows, looking at the ticket more in detail. he inspected every single word, making sure that there was no mistake in the words which would indicate that this was a scam.

"it does look like some official shit from sm entertainment..." he mumbled.

"because it is." sungchan assured.

"how come i never heard about this program if this thing is real?" donghyuck asked perplexed.

"that's because the places are sold at the sm entertainment building only, and that they sold out immediately." jeno said. "jaemin went there and bought it."

donghyuck looked at his best friend with a perplexed look, not really understanding what they were trying to tell him.

"guys, i can't understand anything..." he sighed, looking at each of his friends, waiting for a clear explanation of the confusing gift he had just received.

"okay so, basically, on july 24th, you'll go to sm entertainment at 8:00 am, and you'll spend your day with the 7 members of super m with six other fans." renjun summed everything up in one sentence.

and these words were enough for donghyuck to freeze on his spot before losing consciousness and passing out in the middle of the school's canteen.

"i still can't believe it." donghyuck muttered, holding an ice pack against his forehead to reduce the bruise that was forming because of his fall.

"yeah, i am aware." his best friend replied sitting on the couch next to him.

after donghyuck had fainted, his friends immediately brought him to the nurse and allowing him to rest there for the afternoon.

jaemin met him there at the end of his classes, and both boys headed back to their shared house together.

"are you sure i am not dreaming?" donghyuck asked, hitting his head with the ice pack to wake himself up.

"yes, i am sure." jaemin said quickly, grabbing donghyuck's hand before he could hurt himself even more.

"i am really going to meet super m? and stay with them for a whole day?"

"hyuck, it's the hundredth time i tell you today." jaemin sighed. "yes, you are."

donghyuck started crying – for the hundredth time of the day as well – resting his forehead on jaemin's shoulder. he couldn't believe his friends had gifted him such a thing. how ungrateful of him to have complained about the delay of his birthday present... this present was worth a life-long wait.

"t-this... this is... the best present anyone could dream of..."

jaemin smiled, engulfing his best friend in a hug.

"i know." he smiled. "but you deserve the world."

donghyuck answered with a sniffle. if he deserved the world, what did his best friend deserve? the universe?

"it saddens me so much knowing you are head over heels for a group that doesn't know you... the others and i offered you the opportunity to get known by them."

"i love you..." donghyuck cried in jaemin's neck, tightening his embrace. "i know i said i wanted to stay anonymous for them, but i don't know... i guess i'm saying that to console myself of the fact that i'll never meet them... but in the end, i will! it's so incredible..."

"i love you too." jaemin chuckled, ruffling donghyuck's honey curls. "now stop crying, you're a big boy."

donghyuck took a few minutes to calm down, and soon, all of his tears were dried and wiped off his cheeks.

"when is the... the d-day?" he asked.

"the 24th." jaemin answered.

"and we are?"

jaemin fished his phone in his pocket and showed it to his best friend after unlocking it.

"the 17th. you still have 7 days. 1 whole week."

"oh my god..." donghyuck held himself from crying or passing out once again.

"but don't forget about schoolwork until then." jaemin warned, knowing how donghyuck could be when super m was involved. "you should still study for tomorrow's chemistry test, huh?"

a few months ago, donghyuck had decided not to revise for his algebra final because super m was having a concert in europe, and with the jet lag, he had had to stay up until the middle of the night to watch them live. needless to say, this earned the tanned male a very bad grade, but he didn't mind since he had been able to see his favourite group on their first concert in europe.

"yeah, i know..." donghyuck nodded before heading to his bedroom after dropping the ice pack on the living room table. "i'll study now, then."

he closed the door, taking some time to stare at every single poster of super m that decorated his walls.

"damn..." he muttered, a stupid smile appearing on his face. "i am going to meet you all... for real..."

donghyuck headed to his desk, pulling his calendar out of a drawer and drawing a big heart on the case corresponding to july 24th. he then threw the calendar on his bed, taking his backpack and pulling his chemistry folder out.

jaemin was right. sure, he was going to meet super m, but life was still going on, meaning that he had to learn his chemistry lessons if he didn't want to have an hour of detention for having less than 30% at the test...

and so, donghyuck spent the next two hours studying – his mind sometimes wandering to super m, but immediately focusing back on his homework.

he finished everything he had to work on after dinner, around 8:00 pm.

he spent the next hour searching for the 'one day with super m' program he had been invited to, and effectively, he found the exact same information that his friends had given him.

he read the many comments that the fans had left, saying how unfair it was to be so secretive about such an important thing, and others, praying for their favourite groups to make a similar offer.

this night, donghyuck was tucked under his covers, ready to sleep at 10:00pm, which was very uncommon for him who would usually spend hours on his computer, endlessly watching super m videos, and going to bed around 2:00am.

but tonight was very different from other nights... 

now, donghyuck knew that he would spend a whole day with his favourite group.

he knew he would be able to talk to them.

he knew he would be able to touch them.

and this would happen in 7 days only.

"i love you baekhyun, taeyong, kai, mark, ten and taemin. i really look forward to seeing you." donghyuck spoke in a low voice, looking at a group poster and doing his night ritual.

"and lucas, i love you so freaking much. i am so excited to meet you, in a week. i really hope you'll enjoy staying with me as much as i enjoy watching you..."

and with that being said, donghyuck fell asleep with a bright smile on his face and a fast-beating heart.

he couldn't wait for july, 24th to come.
