"well, sadly, it's the end of the end of the 'one day with super m' program." the staff announced as he checked his watch, reading 7:50pm.

they still had 10minutes left with the group of idols before going back into their normally boring lives. they still couldn't believe that they had spent the whole day with super m. everything felt so surreal... and yet, it had really happened.

"okay, let's take a picture of each of you with the group, and then maybe a last group picture." the staff stated, signalling to super m to stand next to each other in front of a white wall for the picture.

donghyuck stood next to the photographer, looking at the seven members of the kpop band he loved so much. he was in a daze, his mind clouded with happy and heart whelming thoughts.

he had just spent 12 hours with his idols.

12 whole hours during which he had felt like they were just normal people with whom he was friends.

never in his whole life he had imagined he would be able to be this close to an idol. sure, he planned to go to a concert at least once in his life, but he definitely didn't have enough money to participate in the after-concert activities during which the idols met each fan for a while. and yet, his friends had gifted him the most valuable birthday present donghyuck could ever ask for... spending a whole day with his idols and getting to know them.

"donghyuck?"

the tanned male lifted his head, meeting eyes with inhye.

"huh?"

"it's your turn to take the picture." she said with a smile, making donghyuck blush in embarrassment. he had been too deep in his daydream that he hadn't realised that the six other girls had already taken a picture with super m.

donghyuck walked quickly towards the group of boys, standing in the spot that was vacant for him, in the middle of the boys. he smiled brightly, trying to look the most presentable possible as the blinding light of the cameraman's flash had him flinching slightly.

"okay, now group picture. girls, please come." the photographer spoke, making the six girls approach the group.

donghyuck stepped aside slightly to leave some space to the six girls, unintentionally bumping against mark.

"o-oh, sorry." he apologised quickly.

"it's fine, don't worry." mark shrugged it off with a smile.

"okay, everyone in position."

donghyuck straightened his back and passed a hand through his hair quickly to make sure it wasn't messy before the photograph warned that he was going to take the picture.

the tanned male smiled at the camera, making sure not to blink so that none of the pictures would have him with his eyes closed.

although the picture took a few seconds to be taken, donghyuck felt something brushing against his butt, almost poking it, but he didn't pay it much mind since they were all pretty much pressed against each other, which would explain that someone unintentionally had his hand brushing his butt.

"okay, perfect. you guys may say your last goodbyes before super m has to leave." the staff warned.

the idols and the fans all faced each other, each of the fans heading towards their bias to exchange a few words before this would all end.

"thank you for participating in the program, donghyuck." lucas smiled sincerely, ruffling donghyuck's hair as the younger stood in front of him.

donghyuck flushed red at the sweet gesture, his heartbeat quickening. "i am really glad i could make it." he replied.

"it was nice meeting you." lucas nodded. "i hope to see you in our next seoul concert."

"well, i hope i'll be able to come too." donghyuck answered truthfully. he was still a student after all, and he didn't have as much money as he'd like to have. plus, buying all those albums ruined him, and he didn't even have enough left to pay himself a concert ticket.

"great." lucas chuckled. "well, i guess we have to say goodbye."

"yeah... goodbye. and thank you for today." donghyuck gave the idol a sweet smile.

"it was my pleasure." lucas patted donghyuck's shoulder. "and please, make sure to check your head and heal your wound, okay?"

"i w-will." donghyuck nodded, stuttering because of the wave of embarrassment that hit him when he realised lucas recalled his miserable fall from the chair.

"very good." lucas smiled one last time to donghyuck before he turned around to face ryuwon who had been standing there the whole time.

donghyuck sighed loudly, turning around to leave towards the door.

however, before he could go too far, a hand caught his wrist, making him turn around slowly.

"mark?" donghyuck asked, tilting his head to the side.

"i... i wanted to say goodbye to you." mark admitted, giving the tanned male a small smile.

"oh, yes." donghyuck nodded. "thank you so much for today. i had a really good time. and it was really cool hanging out together in the park earlier. i truly enjoyed it."

"i had a really good time too." mark answered, his smile widening at donghyuck's words. "i know you would have preferred spending this time with lucas but- "

"mark, it's okay. i am glad i spent it with you. i got to know you better, and i'm happy of that."

mark smiled shyly. "i'm happy i got to know you better too."

the two boys smiled at each other in silence, staring into each other's eye without really knowing what to say.

thankfully – or not, since this meant this day was officially taking an end and they would need to separate – a manager caught their attention.

"okay, super m, you guys need to go." he stated as all the conversations that were going on ceased and the idols slowly got behind the staff member.

"well... goodbye, i guess..." donghyuck smiled shyly at mark, lifting his hand in the air to wave cutely.

the tanned male's body flushed in a second when mark took a step forward and wrapped both of his arms around donghyuck's body, pulling the younger male in a hug.

"goodbye, donghyuck..." he mumbled. "i hope to see you again..."

and with that said, mark pulled away from the hug, flashing donghyuck a last smile before walking to his members and leaving a bright red donghyuck behind.

"perfect. super m, you're required in studio 1240." the staff declared.

the idols nodded and headed out after waving a last goodbye to the seven fans.

"mark."

the canadian turned around as him and the other members were walking towards studio 1240.

"yes?" he asked, waiting for baekhyun to be next to him to continue walking.

"i saw you and donghyuck hugged yourself goodbye." the older wiggled his brows.

"yeah..." mark nodded dreamily, his heart accelerating again at the sole thought of this embrace.

"are you still going to deny that there is something going on?" baekhyun asked teasingly.

"no." mark shook his head, placing a hand over his erratic heart. "it's love at first sight. i know it."

"i still can't believe this day was real..." heeyung declared as the seven fans stood side by side, their backs facing the sm building from which they had just gotten out.

"me neither." miyeon nodded.

"none of us can." donghyuck replied, his mind wandering back to the wonderful day he had just lived.

"we spent a whole fucking day with super m..." younghae let out, sighing loudly with a dumb smile on her face.

the seven fans stood in silence for a while, each of them in a daze after their wonderful activities of the day.

this program was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and they were so thankful and happy that they could be part of it.

"so, what did you guys do with each of the members during your two hours?" heeyung broke the silence.

"lucas and i hung around sm entertainment, and i was even able to meet other idols!" ryuwon exclaimed immediately, bouncing up and down in excitement.

"baekhyun and i talked a lot after grabing some drinks and snacks at the sm cafeteria." younghae replied with a smile. "it was amazing though. it felt weird to have him talking as if he was human, like... without all those cameras and everything around."

"yeah, i see what you mean." inhye nodded at her words. "kai and i talked and danced together in the dance studios, and i realised that he was very different than how i had pictured him with the mvs and the interviews."

donghyuck thought about this for a while.

it was true that super m were actually very different from the image of them that appeared on the internet. during the day, the seven lucky fans had been able to see the true face of super m, without cameras involved. and none of the members were exactly like they had expected them to be.

take mark for example.

the boy had never really caught donghyuck's eye. a korean-canadian boy, the youngest among super m, laughing loudly with his mouth open as soon as someone says or does something funny, talented rapper and dancer, but nothing that had even made donghyuck like him more than another member.

because of the image the cameras had shown of mark, donghyuck had imagined him to be an awkward boy, who followed what his members did and listened to every order. he even pictured him to be very silent and closed to people other than his members. donghyuck didn't know why, but he felt like mark was the type of guy to be rude to strangers or people that weren't close to him.

but it wasn't the case. in fact, mark had been the person he had interacted the most during this day, and he had enjoyed it a lot – sure, he would have preferred it to be lucas, but he wouldn't complain about his day by mark's side.

spending most of his time with mark, donghyuck had discovered that he was actually very open-minded and friendly. he had even come-out to donghyuck and the tanned male had come-out to him too. also, as they are both around the same age, things got easier and more natural, which made things less awkward and more enjoyable.

"donghyuck!"

the tanned male was woken up from his daze by a loud honking sound followed by someone calling his name.

"looks like your ride is there." eunjin pointed at the car that had stopped a few meters away from donghyuck.

"oh, yes!" donghyuck nodded. "bye! i had an amazing day with you, girls!"

"same, see you around!" the girls replied, waving at the boy.

"yeah, bye..." ryuwon added, barely glancing at him.

but donghyuck couldn't care less. he was now hopping in the passenger seat of jaemin's car with a bright smile plastered on his face.

"so... how was your day...?" jaemin asked with a smirk.

"i think i'm going to cry." donghyuck admitted, his heart racing a hundred miles per hour. "i need to tell you every single thing!"

"well, wait for us to be home for that. the others are there for a huge sleepover." jaemin patted donghyuck's thigh before starting the engine and driving towards their shared apartment.

"i'm so glad you liked our present, hyuck." chenle said, clapping his hands.

"liked?!" donghyuck snorted. "i didn't like it, it was the best fucking present ever!"

the tanned male's friends all laughed in unison as donghyuck started blabbering for the nth time that day, telling them about his wonderful day in detail.

the boys hadn't resisted bursting out laughing when donghyuck explained how he had fallen from his chair during breakfast, and then how he had almost died because of choking.

"so, if i sum everything up, all of our next presents will be shit compared to this one." sungchan asked with a brow raised.

"i mean... you outdid yourselves on this one." donghyuck nodded. "i never imagined such a thing was possible."

"and yet we did it..." jisung shrugged.

"aren't we the best of friends?" renjun questioned with a grin.

donghyuck snickered. "of course, you are!" he exclaimed, before jumping on top of them and embracing them all – well most of them – in a giant hug.

"hyuck! where the hell did you put the candles last time? i can't find them!" jaemin yelled from the kitchen. he had been in the kitchen for the past minutes, searching for the candles so that donghyuck could blow them and celebrate his birthday – more than a month late – but after spending one of the best days of his life.

"they're in the cupboard next to the fridge!" donghyuck yelled back, making shotaro wince as he screamed in his ear.

"no, they're not!" jaemin's response came immediately.

the tanned male groaned, peeling himself off his friends and leaving them in the living room so that he could join his best friend in the kitchen.

"they're in there, i know it!" donghyuck declared, approaching jaemin who was standing up on the counter to look in the cupboards.

"i looked at least three times in this one, and i didn't find anything." jaemin huffed hopping off the counter.

"you suck as searching things." donghyuck rolled his eyes, opening the cupboard wide and looking inside.

"the candles are not there." jaemin tsked again, standing a few meters behind donghyuck while staring at his best friend searching for the candles in a place he was sure they weren't.

donghyuck ignored jaemin and kept looking in the dark cupboard. after a few seconds, the boy pulled his phone out from the back pocket of his jeans, switching the light on to have a clearer vision of what was in the cupboard.

"a paper fell of your back pocket." jaemin informed, looking at the small folded piece of paper that was now lying on the floor.

"huh?" donghyuck turned around, looking down and noticing the little paper. he bent down swiftly, to pick it up and inspect it closely. "it fell from my pocket?"

"yeah." jaemin nodded.

the tanned male unfolded the paper slowly. he didn't remember the last time he had worn those jeans. perhaps had he left a piece of paper there that he had forgotten to take out.

once the paper was unfolded completely, donghyuck blinked in confusion. someone had given him their number? donghyuck didn't even remember asking someone for their number. who the hell could that be?

"oh my god, is that a number?!" jaemin gasped, taking a step closer to donghyuck.

"no!" donghyuck denied immediately, crumpling the paper in his hand.

"liar! i saw the words 'call me' on the back of the paper!" jaemin huffed.

"what?!" donghyuck uncrumpled the paper again, turning it over and looking at the words written there.

"see. it says 'call me' and then- wAIT A FUCKING SECOND!" jaemin grabbed the paper from donghyuck's grip and placed it closer to his eyes to make sure he was seeing things right. "mark lee?! don't tell me that's mark lee's number! from super m?!" jaemin continued yelling as he read and re-read the name written on the small piece of paper over and over again.

"shut up!" donghyuck hit jaemin's shoulder. "i never asked for his number. it can't be his."

"well, there's his name written here." jaemin showed the paper to donghyuck. "and i'm pretty sure that this..." he pointed at the little drawing on the corner "...is the same signature that he does on albums when fans ask for an autograph."

"don't be ridiculous!" donghyuck tsked, taking the paper from jaemin's hand and staring at it for a few seconds. "it can't be him. baekhyun said that they weren't allowed to give us their phone numbers and vice versa."

"well... there's only one way to know if this is really mark lee..." jaemin wiggled his brows, snatching the piece of paper again.

donghyuck stared at his best friend in confusion as jaemin took donghyuck's phone and. unlocked it, opening the message app immediately to start a new conversation. he typed the number in before writing a simple 'hi'and showing the screen to his best friend.

"and now, we'll know if it's really him."
