Drifting
"Sweetface. Davina. DAVINA" I opened my eyes with a start to see Damon waving his hand in front of my face. I still had a smile on my face thinking about the first time I met Harry. That memory always put a smile at my face.
"Sorry Damon my mind drifted off. Were you saying something my love?" I responded.
"No I just thought you were asleep. What are you smiling so much about?"
"Nothing." I said immediately wiping the grin off my face. That beach trip was extremely monumental for me. The first time I met Harry. And also the first person I really connected with since Brianna. Brianna had been my childhood best friend but then we had a huge fight and she ended up moving away. She never called me back or answered my letters so basically I had friends back then, but I didn't have any best friends like Brianna until I met Harry.
"Okay baby," Damon said as he went back on his phone. He put his head on my shoulder as he scrolled through his Instagram. He clicked on a girl's post and then went to the comment section. He typed two heart eyes but then backspaced it and typed something else. I don't know what he wrote because I immediately turned my head away. He hadn't noticed me looking at his phone but I felt that it wasn't my business. It was probably just one of his friends or something. To occupy my time I resorted to the question almost every kid has asked in their life.
"Are we there yet?" I asked the driver. We had barely moved ten feet since I stepped foot in the car.
"No Ms. Mikaelson I'm afraid not. I would kick back and relax if I were you. The GPS says almost an hour till Mr. Salvatore's house." The driver responded. I raised my eyebrows. Damon lived close to the museum so the traffic really was horrible. I took off my heels and tried not to wince from all the blisters. I closed my eyes and tried to think of something happy as the sounds of horns blared around me. Of course my mind brought me back to the one moment I did not want to think about the most.
