Harry and Percy were just finishing up their ice cream when an excited girl rushed in, her bushy hair wild as she went to the counter, her parents walking behind her.

Harry and Percy watched as they sat with their treats right beside them.

"Are you going to Hogwarts too?" Percy asked the girl as his curiosity got the better of him. Making Harry and Draco think he's a cat sometimes.

The girl looked over with light green eyes and smiled at them, putting on a brave face. "Yes, are you three as well?" She asked.

"Yes. We are. I'm Percy Jackson!" Percy supplied giving the girl a huge smile.

"I'm Hermione Granger." The girl, now known as Hermione, said.

"I'm Hadrian Jackson, but just call me Harry." Informed Harry awkwardly as he looked at his excited brother.

Draco looked at the girl then her parents. "I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy." He said as he looked to his ice cream. Still feeling a bit weird at the family outing they were basically having.

"Nice to meet you all." She said politely with a huge smile.

Then her parents introduced themselves to Lily, Snape, Lucius and Narcissa. They got along pretty well.

"Well, it was nice meeting you Hermione, we'll see you on the train right?" Harry asked as he and everybody they came to the shop with got up to go get their familiars.

"Yes, yes you will." Hermione said, with a bright smile.

Soon the Malfoys, Jackson's plus a gloomy Snape left to the next store.

"See baby, you did make friends!" Maria, Hermione's mom said excitedly as they to left to go get the books for her new school.

Hermione only blushed at her mom's outburst, but smiled as they went down the street.

Percy was twice as excited as he'd ever was as they came into the pet shop, Harry couldn't help but be too, and secretly hiding it, Draco was too.

They entered the owl emporium first, so that they could get their own owls that will stay at their home.

Draco got a rare pure white barn owl, it's eyes silver. And he named him Snow.

Harry got a snowy owl, with black speckled across its feathers, and bright blue eyes. He named her Hedwig

Now Percy's strangely enough was a southern white faced owl, and it had blue in its feathers, that is what was strange. It had bright blue eyes as well. Making it almost look parrot like. With the blue feathers at least. He named it Azule.

They then all went to the next store each holding a cage with their owls.

They all split into different directions before eithers parents could even say anything.

Harry went straight for the snakes. Excited to get his own pet to keep with him at school. He looked around none of them catching his eyes, until a very large albino boa constrictor. She was laying sleeping soundly under her little light. But when Harry stepped closer he found her eyes opened to show blood red eyes and he instantly fell for her.

And she him. She, the snake, found the boy before her, with his wide killing curse green eyes, his excited smile and his slightly messy hair adorable. But he was also smaller then most of the kids she's seen that had come to look at her.

"Who are you snakeling?" The soft voice of the snake asked Harry as he smiled widely at the beautiful snake.

"Im Harry Jackson, you wouldn't mind being my friend would you?" Harry asked the snake, making the snake shocked that he even heard her and responded in her tongue.

The snake grinned a little, her tongue rolling out slightly. "Not at all. My Name is Kitty. Itsss nice to meet you." Kitty said.

Harry smiled and the shop owner looked surprised that Harry wanted the Snake, as she was always hated by the other snake lovers for her skin, and she always hissed at anyone who tried. But to Harry, she immediately crawled into him and snuggled him for warmth. But not to tight to hurt him.

"Ah there you are Harry, is that what you picked?" Severus asked as he found Harry in the larger then what it looked like outside store.

Harry nodded. "Her names Kitty!"

"Let's get what she'll need." Snape said smiling fondly before helping a happy Harry get everything the Snake, named Kitty would need.

Percy was disappointed, nothing was calling to him, not the rats, which he didn't really like them in the first place, not the cats, who were adorable bit they didn't seem right. Not the snakes, toads, dogs, not the turtles, bunnies and anything normalish came out to him, and the animals stayed away from him. It made him upset.

But then he felt a pull towards a room that said Employees only, but he didn't care, besides, his Dyslexia jumbled it so he couldn't read it clearly, beside the tugging made him go in before he could decipher.

He walked in and his eyes widen with what was on a perch sleeping, a bowl like thing under it with ash, but what amazed him is the bright blue flames on it's entire body.

A Phoenix stood sleeping on its perch and it was absolutely breathtaking to Percy.

When he was 5 feet away from the mythical bird, it's eyes snapped open to show that it was blind.

Percy felt saddened by that, but he bet that the Phoenix could fly and move around with out its pale cloudy and blind eyes.

"Hi...." Percy said stopping so that the Phoenix could feel comfortable.

"Who are you? What are you doing in here? Wait, whats that smell?" The Phoenix questions.

Percy sniffs the air. "I don't smell anything, oh and I'm Percy Jackson, I'm here looking for my familiar, but also a friend." He said with his excited kid voice.

The Phoenix then looked straight at Percy, it seemed to stare at its soul, and it was. Even though she couldn't see, she could see the souls of things. She could see that Percy's soul was strong, and true, and filled with energy and magic. He was powerful.

And the smell was of the sea, his scent.

She liked this boy, and she instantly felt the connection now that she wasn't worried that someone was trying to steal here.

She flew over and landed o. The boys head, her claws bull so they didn't scratch and her flames, as he was her true Master, didn't hurt him.

"Let's go then Percy, and I am Sapphire." The Phoenix supplied.

Percy smiled so big, that Sapphire could tell. As they left to ask the store owner how much Sapphire was, the man stuttered and was shocked that Sapphire was on him, and wouldn't come off. So he gave her to Percy for free and everything she would need.

When Percy found Draco, he found that he picked and Shadow Cat, and her name was Cuddles. Then they both found their parents, who were startled to see the two with rare pets. But the boys then saw Harry's new pet, and were more startled to see that Harry had a snake around his entire upper body.

But they then went off to get their wands.
