The day of Halloween started as it always did, with waking up.

Percy groaned as the light had pretty much attacked him when it raised high enough to do so, Neville had his back turned to their window, but he also had the blanket over his head, so he didn't really get attacked. It made Percy throw a pillow at him though.

That woke him up.

And it also made Percy run to their large bathroom before he could get a face full if pillow as well. He giggled the whole time as Neville complained to him as he quickly took a shower and got dressed. Neville took one after him giving him a weak glare, still tired, but new he couldn't back to sleep knowing cereal would be waiting for him in the great Hall.

When both boys were ready, they walked to the hall instead of running, it was a bit to early after all, they wouldn't be that late.

Surprisingly, Hermione, Draco, Harry and Ron were up as well and were all walking towards breakfast. They all smiled at each other, except Draco, he smirked. They said their good mornings before they went off to eat.

Neville happily ate Cereal that morning, Percy just rolling his eyes at his best friend's addiction before eating his blue bacon.

Ironic.

Then classes started.

In potions with Ravenclaw, the two Hufflepuffs were great, thanks to Percy stopping Neville from nearly killing the both of them several times. They always finished first too, which earned them points. They earned more when it was perfect, which was every time. When they did, they usually went off to Hermione and one of her friends Luna, whose been slowly coming into their group. She just usually was off chasing nargles or something.

Then History with a ghost. Mr. Binns and you'd think a class with a ghost would be fun, but it actually wasn't, he just droned on and on, of what was already in the books they had. So they usually just messed around, not like the ghost did anything but talk anyways.

Then they had a spare class, and they'd either go out on the grounds with the rest of the group, or study and do homework in the Library.

Neville and Percy were walking behind some kids till they stopped, Draco somehow with them now as they heard Ron in the courtyard.

"It's Leviosaa, not leviiosa. Who does she think she is? A know it all good for nothing is what she is." Ron was saying as Harry looked a bit awkward as some of their housemates laughed at them.

Then Hermione barged past them with tears in her eyes, running as fast as she could.

Ron and Harry looked surprised and watched her go. Then they saw the other 3 watching.

"Great job Weasley. Watch her never help you on homework again." Draco snarled arms crossed and angry at the red head.

Percy shook his head at the two, as Neville gave disappointed looks to them both before the 3 left to go find Hermione.

That was a failed mission, they quickly went off to eat Lunch. A bit in a sour mood.

Hermione never showed up.

Charms soon took for Neville and Percy, both not concerned for the class at the moment. More worried about one of their best friends.

Draco gave a cold shoulder to the Griffindors when they tried to talk.

But it was at Dinner that everything really went down.

As the chattering of students filled the air, enjoying the grand feast for the night of Halloween, Percy telling Neville stories of trick or treating with his mother when he was younger. But after Gabe, she never has. Though he didn't tell him that.

The chattering abruptly stopped as the doors to the Great Hall were burst open, slamming to the side as Professor Quirell ran in looking scared out of his mind. Everyone watched him with curiosity and surprise.

"Troll in the dungeon!!" He yelled his voice high and scared, as his face showed the later much to himself. "Thought you should know." With that, he fainted with a thump.

A moment passed before the students erupted in worry and fear. Some standing.

Dumbledore yelled. "Silence!!" Everyone quieted quickly after that. "Prefects escort everyone back to the dorms, we will quickly take take care of the Troll." He said and the prefects calmly gathered everyone and started on their way.

Until word got to the group that Hermione had been crying in one of the girls bathrooms near the dungeons.

Draco with the Slytherins, easily caused chaos when he mentioned that their dorm was in the dungeons. That way he was able to quickly leave, after glaring and almost punching one of the syltherins for calling Hermione a name.

The Hufflepuffs of the group just went under the radar and stayed behind the corner as the rest countinued on before running off to the bathroom that they heard she was in.

Ron and Harry basically doing the same. But not they just ran under the prefects noses.

Percy and Neville were the first to rush into the bathroom hearing sniffles coming from a familiar friend.

"Hermione!!" Percy yelled relieved.

"Percy? What are you doing here?" She asked as she came out rubbing at her eyes, were she had just finished crying, after all these hours.

"We came cause there's a Troll abo-" Neville stopped when Hermione's eyes widen as what was behind the boys.

They boys having the sense of hearing and smell to know what it was. It was the troll.

The boys turned wide eyes like Hermione as they stared at the ugly and basically naked Troll. It's club on its shoulder as it looked at the 3 before it.

Hermione couldn't help but scream as they were suddenly attacked making them go into the stalls and duck down, they started to crawl under them to get to the door, as that was the only exit.

The troll roared as it broke all the stalls in one swing. Making 3 stand up quickly, Percy taking out his wand flicking usuless curses and charms at it. He was only a first year after all!!

Draco, Harry and Ron saw each other on opposite side of the hall the bathroom Hermione was in. They heard her scream and then a loud destructive like noise. They ran as fast as they could in time to see Percy jump over the club with wide eyes.

Harry immediately went to attacking the Troll trying to get the Troll away from his brother.

Draco too went to helping, as did Ron. Hermione screaming as she tried not to get hit by the now wildly flailing club, Neville beside her with a scratch on his head. She put up a sheild to protect them as the troll hit the sink beside them.

Harry then had the dum idea to tackle the Troll as their charms weren't working and got his wand stuck up its nose.

The Troll roared in anger at this and grabbed Harry by the leg and start swatting at him angrily, Harry barely dodgeing them.

"Harry!" Percy yelled worried as he watched.

"Someone!" Harry lifted up not be hit. "Do something!" He finished.

The Troll had its arm and club raised above its head about to hit Harry dead on.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" Ron yelled quickly at the club making it lift out of the Trolls hand before it could.

The Troll confused looked up at his empty hand then it's eyes widen as the club fell and knocked it out. It swayed letting Harry go with a thud, before falling back with a louder thud.

Hermione and Neville stepped away from the sinks that gushed water now. Percy coming over to help.

Draco groaned in disgust as Harry took his wand back before washing it off in the spraying water.

They all gathered up in a circle.

"Sorry Hermione." Ron said sincerely as he looked to her in shame.

Hermione smiled. "It's okay Ron."

Then in came the teachers in a flurry of robes and surprised looks.

"What is going on here!?" McGonagall said as she looked at the snoring Troll.

The group shuffle their feet at the gazed of Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall.

Hermione then stepped up. "I'm sorry Professor, I was in the bathroom during Dinner and didn't hear about the Troll they came to get me. To make sure I was safe. We were about to leave when the Troll came. It wouldn't let us leave." She said softly explaining.

McGonagall blinked, then looked at all of the students before her in shock. All from different houses, cam to save a friend.

She smiled slightly before speaking. "Well, that was very dangerous of all of you. 5 points from each house for each student." She said and they all looked straight at her, no shame in them. "But, those cancel out at your bravery, loyalty and ambition. 20 points each."

The group smiled at each other.

"Now off to the infirmary, go now. Especially you Longbottom." McGonagall rushed.

Percy said he wanted Snape to join. And as they got to Madam Pomfrey, he had her check Snape's leg.

After that they stayed in the infirmary on Madame Pomfrey's direct order.

To say it was fun, was a understatement.
