Coming home from work, exhausted and sore, she didn't expect to see what she did. She watched with wide brown eyes as Gabe, her husband, beat her child Percy. Over what she didn't know and neither did it matter. There was no reason to beat up a child to the point of unconsciousness. Sally Jackson, Aka, Lily Potter stood horrified as she watched her ugly and smelly husband beat her son Percy Jackson.
Her eyes, stared at her unconscious son, surrounded by his own blood, broken and whimpering in his state of sleep.
Something finally clicked inside her, seeing this, her baby crumbled on the floor. It made her mad, she wanted to do something! Anything as the twisting tightness inside her chest grew, and suddenly she did, as her magic unbound itself and pushed out in a strong heat like a wave of orange-red and made Gabe Ugliano no more, only ash piled beside the boy.
With that, Sally-no Lily fell to the ground, her brown curly hair straightened turning bright red, and her blue eyes turning the bright green that came with her name. She remembered her first son Harry has the same. She cried as she looked at her hands. Her tannish skin going pale like it always was.
She heard crying, snapping her out of her shock and she crawled over to her 9-year-old son and pulled him to her not caring that she was getting blood all over herself, all she knew was that her son needed her. "Shhh, Percy, I'm here baby." Her English accent coming out where it had lain hidden for years. Hearing it made her tilt her head but she was more focused on her son.
"It hurts...." He whimpered somehow knowing it was her. Her hands were always going to be the same in the way that she held him.
Lily's eyes swelled up in tears, said tears finally spilling over as she looked at her broken son. "Don't worry, I'll figure something out, I-I always do." She says as she picks him up, wincing as he cried out, she put on her glamour without a spell or wand as she wouldn't be recognized as his mother here in America. She would need to continue the act of Sally Jackson a little it longer.
She took him to the hospital and told the story that her husband, had gotten drunk, beaten him, and then ran off with all their money. It wasn't far from the truth, she knew where he was, scattered ash on their trashy apartment ground, she hoped the cops believed it to be cigarette ashes the anything else it could be.
Hours she waited to hear any news about her son. He was taken to surgery over his leg, and to stop internal bleeding from the stong continuous kicks to his abdomen. And when she did, she sighed in relief knowing he was going to be okay now. Just....it was bad, but not life-threatening anymore.
Once she was allowed to see him she sighed again at seeing him breathing fine now then before where he could barely do so, his left leg was in a cast, and both his arms and his chest were tightly wrapped, telling her that his many ribs whcih were broken and such were taken care of. He had stitches on his stomach from what she was told, and on the corner of his eyebrow where a bear bottle had been broken. He would have scars for sure.
She sat beside him and watched him as he slept under the pain meds. Her eyes started to water as she looked at him in the hospital bed, a wave of guilt and regret crushing into her in a ner painful level. "I'm so, so sorry, my baby boy." She whimpered out as tears came, and fell from her eyes.
When a policeman came in to question her about Gabe, she told the same thing she had told when she had first arrived.
"And does Percy know what happened?" The officer asked, their notebook and pen out writing what she said down quickly.
"He was....unconscious and barely there," Lily replied as she looked to her son when he whimpered in his sleep. Her hand squeezing his in comfort. "He wouldn't have been able to tell me much if he was."
The officer nodded, putting what he had away and put a hand on Lily's shoulder in a sign of comfort. He pitied lily as well as was honest when he told her what he said next, the man absolutely hated seeing the young boy, Percy, in the state he was in. "We'll do everything we can to help find this man."
Lily nodded. "Thank you." She says softly as the man left.
She then started to plan for her way back, back to Harry.
****
A couple of weeks later
Percy was in a wheelchair now, still unable to walk, or do much in his state of disablement. He really didn't like that. His Leg wouldn't be good for another couple months, but his ribs and insides would take awhile more to be sure they healed right. Otherwise, he'd only need a crutch to get around.
He also didn't like that his Mom, looked different but he got over that. Once she had told him exactly what had happened. She actually told him everything over his favorite blue cookies. He now knew he was a wizard too, as well as a demigod. Though, they were both confused on exactly how that came to be.
His mom was off doing who knows what-She hadn't told him where or what she was doing-so he stayed in their new house outside of New York and close to long island. Bored out his mind, as the Tv was on the very to long ads as he sat on the couch.
All he knew from his mom was that she was going to send a letter.
And send a letter she would, Lily walked into the HQ of the wizarding world of America and walked up to one of the many desks there.
She smiled nervously at the occupant before speaking. "Hi, I'm trying to send a letter to a friend in England?" She told one of them, her glamour was on she didn't know if they would recognize her as Lily Potter in America or not, still, she wouldn't take that chance.
"Hmm, oh, we usually have them sent over via airplane, then house elves take care of the rest." Said the nice lady after a moment.
"Thanks, how can I do that exactly though?" Lily asked a bit awkward where she stood.
The woman pointed to a desk where a house-elf was and Lily immediately went straight over.
"Hi, I'm trying to send a letter to my friend in England?" She asked holding the letter up in the air.
"1 Spigot." Said the female house elf that blinked up at Lily.
Lily frowned as she tried to think of what to do, she didn't have any money other then muggle money. "I don't have anything but muggle money..." She told the elf as she tried to think of another way she could send it.
"Muggle money will be fine, it will be 2 regular dollars." The elf said blinking at Lily creepily, at least that's what she thought.
Lily took two dollars out of her purse, and the elf took it and the letter. And that's all she had to do, now she just had to return to Percy, she didn't want keep leaving him alone all the time. Hopefully, if things worked out they would be back in England and she'd be able to care for him as she got everything arranged.
Percy was bored out of his mind as he had tried and failed to read a book to occupy his mind after Tv had failed him. Then there was a knock on his door, making him frown, he was sure there wasn't supposed to be anyone over at the moment. But he went over and opened it to find a tall man, with black hair, Bright blue-green eyes and in a tiki Hawaiian shirt with tan cargo shorts that seemed lighter do to the man's tan skin.
"Who are you?" Percy asked as he glared up at the man, he didn't really trust him as the man looked behind him before staring at him.
"I'm Poseidon, your father. I'm looking for Lily." He said as he smiled at Percy, though he looked slightly nervous and hurried.
"Ummm...." He didn't know what to do. His father wanted to see his mom and not him, seemed sus. Jerk.
They both looked at the old car that entered the driveway before the awkward silence could continue. Out walked Lily, her glamour casually falling away.
"Let him in Percy, I have much to talk about with him." Lily said as she exited her car and walked towards the door. Her face was impassive but with the way she walked past him, you could tell she was angry.
Percy shrugged and wheeled away to the kitchen to snag a couple of blue cookies before rolling off to his new bedroom leaving the two to talk. He knew his mom would tell him anything important later, but he didn't want to be in the same room with his supposed father
"Explain." Lily said after Percy was off in his room.
Sitting at the Kitchen table he sighed before he did as she said. "James wanted a child more powerful than Harry, and Dumbledore. He contacted me somehow, through an old forgotten ritual even by me. I wasn't against it as I was in love with you the very moment I laid eyes on you, so I took over his body and made love to you to make Percy. I'm sorry Lily." Poseidon says looking down in shame.
Lily huffed as she tried not to think too much into it, coming to the fact that Percy had two fathers though was a bit strange to wrap around. "What else did you want?" She says unfolding her arms with a sigh, she'll do a test at Gringotts for both of them, maybe even Harry just in case.
"Giving you a portkey, so if one day Percy is attacked by monsters, he can immediately be there." He said cryptically when he means there, he means Camp Half-Blood. A place where he'd be safest, supposedly. Lily nodded and took the chain from Poseidon's hands that held the small port key in the shape of a small Trident. "Just say,' Sea is home.' If he can't remember or he's in danger due to greek monsters it will take him anyway, or if he happens to encounter mermaids. And that's it." Poseidon says looking at the small Trident that glowed slightly.
Lily sighs, but held the chain tightly knowing that it could very well keep her son safe. "Thank you." She said politely with a nod to the man she barely even knew besides the months that he stuck to her when she first arrived.
Poseidon nodded as he stood. Lily took him to the door with a little bit of chatter between them before being at the door, with only a glance towards Percy's room, and a sigh, the old greek god left the house.
Lily watched with that of a gaze of knowing. Knowing he wanted to see his son, just...things were in the way at the moment. Specifically laws, and keeping Percy's existence a secret from others.
