Prologue

You were lost.

Alone.

Scared.

You've been trying to move forward with each passing hour.

Day and night.

Rain or shine.

Of course not in walking definition, in flying.

You see. You are a moth.

Not the bug kind, but it's like a term for saying your about 2 years old.

2 years old and already flying with only 5 winged light?

Yeah I know. Shocker.

But you wanted to get home.

You missed the elders.

You missed the guides...

You missed the spirit's.

You faced ahead as you slowly glided through a lot of clouds.

Your flying was slow and wobbly.

Mainly because you hadn't slept for the last 3 days.

Oof.

Your eyes were heavy...you wanted sleep...you craved it...

And it craved you. Sleep kept poking at you. Not leaving you alone.

Which may or may not have caused you to accidentally pass out mid air and just crash into a tree.

Hold on.

A tree?

You opened your eyes back up and glanced around noticing you had flew square into a tree after passing the hell out.

You looked down at the ground that was far below you before carefully climbed down each branch.

Once at the bottom you stood there proudly seeing that you didn't get hurt, uunnntill a twig fell onto your head.

You rubbed the top of your head before looking down at the ground at the twig.

You picked it up and waved it around like a sword before glancing around the unfamiliar place, and getting in a stance and acting like the twig was a sword.

You slowly walked around looking for anything until you heard a sound. You quickly pointed the twig at a bush.

You slowly went up to the bush before pushing some of its branches aside and spotting a pile of twigs that had formed a circle around something.

Something layed in the middle, hidden by all the twigs, or the nest in general.

You began to make your way up to the nest and peaked inside only to see something purple laying there with its eyes closed.

You slowly raised the twig that you held upwards now, before giving the creature a poke.

Only for it to jump up and spread out a pair of scaly wings. It was a bit smaller than you.

You and the creature stared at each other, both in shock before the creature created a ball of flames in its mouth and immediately shot it at you.

You raised your cape to block the attack, and the flame was immediately absorbed into your cape, recharging your lost winged light from all the flying.

You then let your cape hang off your back before you and the creature went back to staring at each other, more awkwardly this time.

This was... truly odd.

(Time skip and quiet explanation, I changed the way Spyro hatched in the first episode. Basically making him hatch and be alone for the next 4 years so that way when later in the book Y/n is 10, Spyro is 14 because in my opinion he seems around that age)

Ok so uh...

It's been a week now and...

You don't know how or why, but you and the creature are now friends.

All you really did was start creating balls of light around you one dark night and boom, friendship blossomed.

Somehow. Idk man. Your built different.

You and the creature that you now knew was called, Spyro. Were just walking around the island searching for anything or anyone.

But that anyone you now found was clear danger.

You hugged Spyro as 3 creatures with oddly colored skin surrounded you.

"Aw~ a itsy bitsy baby dragon with a wittle twiny friend~"

A creature with yellow skin said as he put his hands on his hips.

"I love baby dragons, especially medium rare ones!"

He said, one of the other creatures harshly picked you up by your shoulders causing you to let go of Spyro.

The other creature grabbed Spyro by his wings and lifted him of the ground, causing him to let out a growl.

Spyro tried to spit out fire like he did the first time he met you, but sadly it came out a little to small.

"Ha! I like my dragon meat smokey!"

The one with yellow skin said as he stepped closer to Spyro.

You kicked and squirm in the other creatures grasp, wanting to help your friend.

But you couldn't.

"Come on little fella! Do it again!"

He said with a laugh. Spyro took a deep breath and...

Yep. The creature is passed out and has ashes all over his face...great...

The one that was originally holding Spyro by his wings was now being thrown around like a ragdoll before being tossed on top of the body of the other one.

The creature that held you up by your shoulders immediately let go of you before flopping onto the ground and speaking.

"You win."

You looked at Spyro and gave him a thumbs up as he did a victory dance. You let out a chuckle at your friends behavior before the moment was short lived by another person approaching.

Spyro stood in front of you and growled at the approaching figure.

(Future protective older brother fr)

Once the person came to view you saw it was a man, he was wearing some sort of helmet and had a long beard.

"Well hello there little ones."

Spyro narrowed his eyes at the man as you picked up a twig off the ground and held it forward like a sword...damn your so confident in yourself dawg.

"Now now I am not going to harm you two."

Spyro glanced at you and all you did was shrug.

"You two must be starving."

The man reached under his beard and pulled out a food.

"Barley-touched corn dog?"

You glanced up and down at the man still not trusting him. But Spyro caved in and flew up to the man before eating the rest of the corn dog.

Half the stick included.

Spyro easily gave his trust to the man.

So you did too.

You carefully approached the man before snatching Spyro out of his arms and holding him in your own like he was a stuffed animal.

But Spyro didn't seem to mind.

The man let out a chuckle before offering you a hand, and you took it.

The man then began to lead you and your soon to be brother off to somewhere.

"You are special, little ones."

(I feel like this is one of the laziest prologue's I have ever wrote.)
