'Tis the Season

"Thank god this place is abandoned, I don't think I could bear coming home to my empty house in my own dimension."

Marvin opened the large doors of the mansion in Jameson and Wilford's dimension, opened bottles alcohol and empty shot glasses left out on the table in the kitchen.

"Hello?" Marvin called out tentatively, wondering if he really was alone in the mansion as he walked farther inside and looked around at the dirty dishes and clothes strewn around every room.

The magician's eye was caught by a black picture frame laying face down on the stairs as he walked towards the kitchen to "investigate" the drinks, the stand broken off of the frame.

"The hell is this?" Marvin murmured under his breath as he carefully flipped it over, a long crack running through the glass of the frame that covered a photograph of Wilford and Dark.

Wilford was dressed in a tan safari suit and a tan hat that partially covered his fluffy black hair and had a bushy black mustache, round wire framed glasses shielding his chocolate brown eyes.

Dark, or at least Marvin thought he was Dark, was dressed up in a black suit and held a black cane with a diamond on top in his hands and had dark brown eyes, as well as surprisingly tan skin.

Both males had wide smiles on their faces as they looked into the camera, the pair looking the happiest Marvin had ever seen them ever.

The weirdest part about the photo was that a part of it next to Wilford was torn off, the jagged edges partially hidden by the frame.

"Who's there?"

Marvin froze when he heard a voice emanate from downstairs, the magician quickly replacing the picture frame before quietly scrambling up the stairs.

Marvin held his breath as he ducked into the nearest room and shut the door behind him, footsteps pounding up the stairs after him.

"Who the hell is here?" Marvin wondered aloud as he looked around for a place to hide, not wanting to leave the house until he figured out who the stranger was.

The magician eventually settled on using a spell on himself to make himself invisible, the spell finishing just as the door swung open with a bang.

Wilford stepped inside and glanced briefly behind the door before searching the rest of the room, the male's eyes meticulously scanning every part of his surroundings.

"Wilford!" Marvin shouted to get Wilford's attention, causing the dark haired male to whirl around his in a circle with a confused frown.

"I'm not going crazy, I'm not going crazy," Wilford chanted as he held his head in his hands while tearing at his hair, a wild look visible in his eyes.

Marvin muttered curse words under his breath as he grabbed his wand again to remove the invisibility spell, Wilford's eyes widening in surprise as he looked at the floating wand.

"What the hell is happening?" Wilford whispered in disbelief as he backed away from Marvin as he became visible once more.

"It's just me Wilford, I'm not here to hurt you or anything." Marvin hastily assured the dark haired male as he stuck his wand away.

"I thought you were hiding from some detective dude that was looking for you." Marvin added while Wilford let his arms hang loosely at his side.

"His name is Abe, and I am hiding from him still. He's already looked here and didn't find me, and he's too dumb to look here again." Wilford countered confidently as he gestured around him.

"Why are you here and not in your dimension or with your friends?" Wilford prompted warily, his hand hovering by the knife tucked into the waistband of his pants.

"Let's just say that I'm not on the best of terms with everyone else and that I sent Schneep to the demon dimension." Marvin answered vaguely with a shrug.

"You did what?!" Wilford blurted as he started pacing around, his hands fidgeting nervously at his side.

"Dark will find Schneep and try to make a deal with him, which is definitely not good." Wilford predicted worriedly.

"Since when did you care about what Dark did?" Marvin countered, earning a slight blush from Wilford as he lowered his gaze to his shoes.

"I...I just care about you guys is all." Wilford mumbled as he lowered his head, his hair drooping in his face and muffling his words slightly.

"What about Dark? I saw that broken picture on the stairs." Marvin interjected, the dark haired male closing his eyes and letting out a long sigh.

"That picture is nothing of your concern." Wilford told Marvin sternly, his tone sounding serious for the first time since Marvin had met him.

"Alright fine, but I just came here to be alone." Marvin huffed in irritation as he folded his arms across his chest.

"Where's Jameson? Is he okay?" Wilford demanded impatiently, ignoring Marvin's subtle hint to leave him alone.

"He's with the others in Robbie's dimension. Or they were when I left them." Marvin muttered bitterly as he stormed out of the room, Wilford hastily chasing after him.

"Why won't anyone just leave me alone?!" Marvin snapped angrily as he turned around and pressed his wand to Wilford's neck, the tip glowing bright green.

Wilford was silent as he stood motionless like a statue, his brown eyes betraying a small glimmer of fear.

Marvin felt the anger drain out of him as he pictured Schneep's scared expression when the magician had pushed him away, Wilford's expression very similar.

"Why don't we just go to the demon dimension and get Schneep back before anything happens to him?" Wilford advised gently.

Marvin nodded slowly as he moved his wand away from Wilford's neck and created a portal in front of them, the dark haired male visibly relaxing.

"And I thought I was the crazy murderous one." Wilford remarked under his breath before he strode through the portal, Marvin following after him.
