T.W.-Panic Attack, Abusive Parents, Like two curses

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Virgil stared down his brother, fury in his eyes. He didn't like the secrecy either going on with their parents, but he didn't want them to lash out at each other. Now both him and his brother were locked in their shared room.
Suddenly, Logan got up. "I'm leaving,"
Virgil's eyes widened, replaced with fear. "Wait, what?! What do you mean?! Where are you going?!"
Logan grabbed his backpack and emptied it. "To Patton's house, I'm going to stay their till I can get a place of my own. He said I could, and this time I'm not letting up on that offer. I said I would only use it as my last resort."
Virgil grew more frantic. "But mom and dad won't let you!"
"I'm eighteen Virgil, it's not their choice."
"But I'm not!" Virgil almost screamed. "I can't come with you,"
Logan froze, not thinking about that. Virgil's birthday was in a month and a half. Could he last that long. He took a deep breath, remembering all the fights, and the yelling and curses, and realized he couldn't stay here.
"Why do we bother to stay..."
Virgil took a stutter step backwards, realizing Logan might actually leave him alone. "Why are you running away?!" He shouted.
Logan looked back at him, eyes cold. "Don't you feel like severing,"
Virgil tried something else, to get him to stay a least until he could come with him. "Everything's just come together at last,"
"It's broken I don't want to stay," Their family was broken. Virgil only had Logan, and Logan only had Virgil.
Virgil felt a couple of tears drop down his face, and hugged his sides, trying to sink farther into his hoodie. "We grew up, so very close..." He whispered, choking a bit at the end.
Logan's mind was set on leaving, and he was going to get there no matter what.
"A parasite, needs a host..."
Virgil's head shot up, thinking back to all they went through, and Logan thought he was just an add on? "I'm only trying to do what is best for us!"
Logan was done, he needed to get away. He quickly spun around, anger flashing in his eyes at his brother, having to stay behind for him is out of the question. Virgil felt him self take a step back from his brothers actions, eyes widening in fear "Well I never asked for this! I never wanted this! All that I want is sometime to myself!!" He shouted.
Virgil didn't even bother trying to stop the tears now. "Looking in your eyes, I'm coming home" He tried, asking him cryptically to not take his home, Logan, away from him. He reached out to touch his shoulder.
Logan furrowed his eyebrows and brushed his brother off. "Just get away from me, please just stop touching me, your always trying to be somebody else!"
Virgil's hand shot back in shock, before more tears came. he looked down and sobbed, hugging himself. "Now I realize, I'm all alone..."
Logan glared at him. "Well your only scared of me!"
"You never cared for me!!" Virgil sobbed.
"Why don't you let me free!"
"'Cause you'd never dare to be!" Logan wouldn't leave him truly, right?
Virgil mumbled under his breath, "Cause you never listen, you're always insisting."
Logan snatched his backpack off the floor and threw is over his shoulder. "Just stop reminiscing."
Virgil looked up as he walked to the bedroom door. "I feel something missing,"
"I just want to finally leave," Logan mumbled,
"Here with me" Virgil pushed himself up.
"GOD! Just let me leave this home!" Logan put his hand on the doorknob.
"DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!!" The younger shouted at the top of his lungs. Virgil wrapped his arms around Logan from behind.
Logan stopped, feeling his shirt become wet from how hard Virgil had been crying. His eyes lost all of their anger and were replaced with regret.
He spun around dropping his backpack and wrapping his arms around his younger brother. He hated the way he flinched, how he didn't fulling relax at first. His breathing coming out in short gasps and his face hidden in Logan's chest.
"Verge? I'm so sorry,  please breath. I won't leave, I promise, I need you to breath for me though." He frantically whispered, trying not to get themselves caught. If their parents found Virgil having a panic attack, they would separate them until he calmed down. Thinking Virgil was 'toxic' or some shit.
It would be a miracle if they weren't already alerted by Virgil's scream.
Logan rubbed his back and sunk to the floor, taking Virgil with him. Whispering comforting words and going through a breathing exercise, Logan managed to calm Virgil enough so his breathing was steady. He was still bawling his eyes out though.
"I-I'm sorry Lo. Y-You should leave, g-get out of h-here. I-I can handle m-myse-"
Logan automatically shushed him. "No. I was being utterly stupid and selfish. Words do not explain how much horror I just did. I do not deserve your forgiveness, but I can promise you I am not leaving you here. Ever."
Virgil sniffed, and whimpered as the sound of boots came clucking down the hallway, stopping at the front of their door. Logan tighten his grip and backed away, leaning both of them on the bed frame, before the boots stomped off.
Logan breathed a sigh of relief, but didn't seise his grip on his younger brothers jacket.
Virgil hiccuped and buried his face once again in Logan's shirt.
Logan looked down at him and felt even more regret.  He shushed him again, pulling his jacket up like a blanket. Virgil's crying slowed down to the occasional sniff.
"It'll be ok Verge, just go to sleep, I know how much panic attacks drain you."
Virgil hummed a response, before shifted slightly into a more comfortable position.
He let his head lay on his brothers shoulder. "For the record Lo, I forgive you..." he whispered, before closing his eyes and falling asleep.
Logan froze, tears finally pricking his eyes at his younger brothers words. How could two people as horrid as their parents, have a child like his brother. He remembered the nights they forgot to feed them. They days they had to walk to school because their parents forgot about them, or the times were they had to make up excuses as to why their parents weren't at the school meetings. How they never turned their parents in dispite how they would sometimes get physical, or purposely not feed them, or purposely make his brothers anxiety worse.
They didn't tell anyone cause their was no one to tell. They didn't have any friends before Patton and Roman
Then he remembered all the things he said to him in their argument. Virgil already had very low self esteem, how hard did that affect him? Sure, he forgave Logan, but the damage is still done.
Logan sighed, taking off his glasses and wiping his tears away with his arm. He placed them back on and decided enough was enough. He was sick and tired of playing into his parents- no, those grownup's game. This was the finally straw.
Logan shifted slightly so that Virgil's weight was on his right arm, before grabbing his phone out of his bag. He quickly selected on on his contacts and pressed the phone to his ear.
There was only one way to get Virgil out of the house with him.
"Hello, Patton?.........Yes, is your offer about your house always being open still available?............Excellent, Virgil is coming with me, were going to finally file a police report.........No, no one is hurt, but I'm not going to let one of us get hurt again...........Thank you Patton, will be over in ten...........Roman is fine to come over, I'm sure Virgil would like to see him.........Thank you, Bye."
Logan hung up, and grabbed his bag again. He swiftly picked Virgil up, placing his hands into his lap, and grabbed everything else they might need. Shutting off the light, he quickly existed thier room, and the house, setting Virgil down in the front seat.
Virgil groaned a little, shifted as his brother's warmth left.
Logan shushed him, before buckling his seat belt and, as quietly as possible, closing the car door.
He ran around to the other side and jumped into the drivers seat, starting up the engine and putting the that on full blast to warm both of them up.
Logan sighed, looking out the car window at the hell they were trapped in. He smirked, flipped off the house, and pulled out of the driveway.
