When you were a little kid (toddler) you have to learn to walk.

We learned to walk through the loving hand of our parents or even through a walker which assist us because our feet cannot carry our body yet. We get imbalanced...We easily fall.

As a toddler spiritually, our walker is the Holy Spirit of God. Or shall we say, the Comforter... It's a comfort to walk with a walker.

We get imbalanced and fall into diverse temptations. Like the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:16
This I say then,
Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil
the lust of the flesh.

We ALL have lusts of the flesh.

The following are examples of what we do by responding to our lusts:

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
which are these;

Adultery,
fornication,
uncleanness,
lasciviousness,

Idolatry,
witchcraft,
hatred,
variance,
emulations,

wrath,
strife,
seditions,
heresies,

Envyings,
murders,
drunkenness,
revellings,
and such like:

Which among the above do you do?

Well if we are not properly guided, we normally tend to submit to our own fleshly desires and end up doing all those things.

But those are not what is expected of a child of God. As a child of God, we are to live and walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh.

Meaning we do things because those are according to God's will. Not according to our own fleshly will.

Galatians 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

How do we live in the spirit?

We have to asked the grace of God to help us resist temptations.

We need to pray daily so we can resist temptation to sin.

But if we fail, coz sometimes we will really fail, (we are not perfect of course) we need to pray for forgiveness of our sins as the Lord Jesus Christ taught us;

Luke 11:4
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

When we earnestly pray the Holy Spirit of God will help us overcome temptation.

What is the result if we do that?

The Holy Spirit bears fruit in us.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is
love,
joy,
peace,
longsuffering, (patient)
gentleness,
goodness,
faith,
meekness,
temperance

We get the fruit of the spirit in our life. We live a different life. Different from others who are fleshly.

Don't worry if you are different.

You are after all a child of a king!
