To become a family member of course we have to be born first!

Same goes with being a member of the family of God. We have to be spiritually born first.

Take note that when we were physically born (first birthday);
we have body, soul and spirit. But our spirit is dead unless it is quickened by God.

Given our body and soul, we are in the earthly kingdom whose prince is the devil. That is why we easily sin and live a fleshly life.

You are to begin with, a spiritually dead person unless you are born again. Hence you can't see the kingdom of God.

That is why Jesus Christ said.

John 3:3
Except a man
be born again,
he cannot see
the kingdom of God.

So how  do you become a child of God?

How are you born again?

How can you see the kingdom of God?

John 1:12
But as many as
received him,
to them gave he power
to become the
children of God,
even to them
that believe
on his name:

The first chapter of John  in the bible, states that in the beginning God created the world. He is the light of this world. And he was made flesh to be with humans. In a form of Jesus Christ the begotten son of God.

If you receive him (by faith) and believe on his name you become a child of God.

John 1:13 
Which were born,
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man,
but of God.

You will be born in the spirit, born by will of God. It's like being an adopted child.

Do you want to receive Jesus Christ in your life and be an adopted child of God?

How do you receive Him?

A = Acknowledge that you are a sinner and your own works, personal efforts, self righteousness cannot pay for the sins you've committed.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned,
and come short of
the glory of God;

B = Believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ, the begotten son of God, came down from heaven to pay for the penalty of your sins by dying on the cross.

Romans 5:8
But God commended
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.

C = Confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and that you need Him as your  Savior (Christ or Messiah), the one who died on the cross but was risen.

Romans 10:9
That if you shall
confess with your mouth
the Lord Jesus,
and shall believe in your heart that God had raised him from the dead,
you shall be saved.

If you did the ABC above, you are now a SAVED SINNER. Hence, you are spiritually born!
You are now an adopted child of God!

Then you now belong to the kingdom of God.

And today is your spiritual birthday. Your second birthday!
