*Sigh* Back to the kids...
"Oh god," Jungkook sighed. He made sure to keep count of every time he sighed today (It'd make a fun drinking game in the future). Right now however, he and Taehyung just needed to focus on finding the kids.
So while Tae went to put Jongho to sleep, Jungkook was busy playing an unexpected game of hide and seek with the others.
He couldn't believe this was how he decided to spend his free time.
Jungkook ran to the kitchen first. He heard something fall in the pantry and rushed in to find nearly everything knocked off the shelf! There was something missing as well. "They really love their organisation, huh?" Every shelf was labeled, and the one with the most things gone was labeled 'sugar'. "Dammit..."
Nap time was going to be postponed it seems. Jungkook headed to the hallway next where he found Mingi and Yunho "whispering" and giggling in the closet. "Do you think they'll find us?" Mingi "whispered".
"Not a chance! We're too sneaky!" Yunho "whispered" back. Whispered as in quietly shouting, because Jungkook could hear them from down the hall.
He thought he'd give them a moment so they could yell about just how sneaky they were, before Jungkook yanked the closet door open as he stared down at the children. "Play times over."
In hindsight it sounded much more menacing than intended. Him towering over them with his shadow casting over the tiny kids as he practically muttered a threat.
It was no wonder they ran away screaming.
Jungkook gave them about ten seconds to run and then he sprinted down the hall, quickly scooping the two children in his arms. "Nice try," he chuckled. "But you can't escape me."
Once again - he sounded just a bit too menacing. Scaring Mingi and Yunho enough to where they began to thrash in Jungkook's grasp. They weren't going down without a fight but it was a fight they had already lost.
Meanwhile, Taehyung was on the hunt for Yeosang, Wooyoung and San. The trio had managed to slip past him earlier when he was putting Jongho to sleep. He was sure he heard them run by but he had no clue where they went.
"Where could they have gone?" Taehyung muttered to himself as he checked the living room once again. A light thud was heard, followed by the pitter-patter of little feet rushing through the halls above. Tae smirked, they wouldn't escape him this time.
Taehyung ran up the stairs as fast as he could yet he still managed to lose them! Letting out a sigh of defeat, the brunette leaned against the wall in dismay. If anything this wasn't a babysitting job, it was just a workout.
The door next to him slowly creaked open, with Jungkook stepping out. "Oh! Kookie-" Jungkook quickly shushed the older teen and ushered him away from the door.
"Shh," Jungkook hushed. "I just got them to sleep." Taehyung smiled and gave his boyfriend a thumbs up. "What about the other's, have you got them yet?" Tae's smile faded almost immediately and he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Weeeell...No. I always miss them by just a second! "
Jungkook sighed with the shake of his head. "These kids are gonna do my head in!"
"I know right! I'm so tired. I'll be honest, I didn't expect to be running around so much. The only baby I planned on sitting on was you."
"I...TAE! You can't say- wait, what's that?" Jungkook noticed a small wrapper on the floor. In fact, there were several. All labeled with a different candy. "No no no! They got into the candy! Do you think it was San?"
CRASH "I guess we're about to find out."
Once again, something broke. A recurring theme that Jungkook wasn't all too fond of. To the absolute shock and horror of two teens - the living room had been utterly destroyed! Toilet paper lined the cushion-less couch, toys were spread across the carpet, now wet from a water gun, and to top the carnage - both Wooyoung and San managed to get peanut butter and candy stuck in their hair!
All this in the span of five minutes.
"H-How in the FU-"
"AAaaaAAaaAaaaaAAAAAAA!" Screaming wouldn't make the situation any better but Jungkook gave it his best shot. He was horrified!
"Sannie, I think they noticed." Damn right they noticed. For a split second they all made direct eye contact, all wondering who would make the first move.
"SCATTER!" And so the chase was on.
Jungkook went for San and Taehyung went for Wooyoung. The two children ran in different directions using their weapons to their advantage and spraying the teens at every chance they got. Tae even got sprayed in the eye.
It was hell.
It took thirty minutes. Half an hour of stepping on Legos, getting sprayed with a water gun and painful screaming. All that, and they finally managed to catch them.
Was it worth it? No not at all.
They still had one child left - Yeosang. They looked everywhere yet there was no trace of the boy. Jungkook was beginning to panic. "We lost him!" He cried. "Uncle Seonghwa and Uncle Hongjoong are going to kill me! I'll have to change my identity and move to Australia!"
Taehyung couldn't help but snicker. "You're so dramatic." He rubbed Jungkook's back affectionately as an attempt to calm his boyfriend down. "We'll find him soon, don't worry. We just need to-" Taehyung stopped himself making Jungkook give him a questioning look.
The older shushed him gently and told him to listen. "Rrrrrrrr" The light buzz of a small propeller could be heard from outside. The two teens glanced at each other then left to see what it was.
Sure enough, there was Yeosang. The young boy was sitting on the porch with a remote in his hand, quietly flying a white drone in peace. He heard Jungkook let out a sigh of relief and turned to the door. "Oh! Hyung's!" He exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"
"We've been looking all over for you." Taehyung chuckled. Yeosang's eyes widened and he quickly stood to apologise. Thankfully, they told him he wasn't in trouble but that he just needed to come in for a nap.
The state of the bedroom wasn't the best. Seeing as Jungkook had shoved two energetic children in a room with two tired ones, it was no surprise that Yunho and Mingi had woken up and they weren't too pleased to have their brothers aggressively pillow fighting as they tried to sleep. "Hyung's!" San exclaimed happily once they and Yeosang entered the room. "Wooyoung threw a pillow at me cause he said I was too loud but I told him he was being a meanie and I threw one back but then it hit Mingi and he started to cry and then Yunho threw a pillow at me for making Migi cry but then it hit Wooyoung instead but I wanted revenge for him hitting me so I threw another one and then-"
San was suddenly knocked down by a pillow that Yeosang had thrown at his face. Yunho murmured a thank you as he wrapped Mingi in a hug and tried his best to get him back to sleep.
While Wooyoung laughed in his brother's face, Yeosang started to tidy up some of the pillows. "Now what?" Asked Jungkook. "I don't think those three will be getting back to sleep any time soon..."
Taehyung hummed in thought, before snapping his fingers with a grin. "How about a story?"
"Oh! Yes please!" They heard Wooyoung say as he dodged an incoming pillow.
"Okay okay, but only if you two behave!" San and Wooyoung both nodded eagerly. They perched themselves on Yeosang's bed as the blonde grumbled about the mess. Jungkook and Taehyung smiled nonetheless and sat cross-legged between the two beds. Yunho and Mingi were still curled up, now only slightly more awake so they could hear the story while Yeosang sat on the opposite side of his younger brothers, quietly wishing they weren't on his bed.
Taehyung cleared his throat with a grin. "Once upon a time there was a handsome boy named Jungkook," The younger blushed, lightly punching his boyfriend with a slight smile. "He was on a mission from the king to save a beautiful princess-"
Wooyoung raised his hand. "Can the princess be a prince?"
The teen chuckled and nodded. "Alright then, he had to save a beautiful prince." Wooyoung smiled gleefully. "The prince was locked away in a huge tower, surrounded by fire, goons and lava!" Each of the children awed as Tae exaggerated his speech with equally dramatic gestures.
"From the top of the tower, the prince yelled for Jungkook to save him! But just before Jungkook could reach the tower - FWOOSH! A huge dragon flew out of nowhere!"
"What colour was it?" Mingi asked quietly.
"Make it purple!" San exclaimed.
"A huge purple dragon flew in! It spewed it's bright flames at the brave boy as he rolled just out of its reach! Jungkook grabbed a nearby sword and right towards the dragon!"
"No!" Yelled San.
"Yes!"
"But he won't make it!" Yeosang whispered, now fully invested.
"Jungkook jumped as high as possible and stabbed the dragon right in the neck!" The kids all let out a 'Whoa'. Even Jungkook was amazed. "But, the dragon was still able to get in a hit." Taehyung said somberly. "Jungkook fell to the ground in pain. His leg was split open with heaps of blood coming out. Seeing this, the beautiful prince rushed from the top of his tower and down to his side."
"And then what happened?"
"Shh Wooyoung!" All his brothers shouted.
"The prince told him "It's okay, I've got you." The prince bent down and pressed his lips against Jungkook's. Jungkook was amazed as the wound slowly began to disappear. It was a healing kiss." Once again, the children we sat in awe, anxiously waiting for the next part.
"The next day, Jungkook delivered the prince back to the king. As a reward for his bravery, he was given the chance to marry the prince. Jungkook accepted and the two of them lived happily ever after."
Jungkook smiled at his boyfriend. He was amazed by the passion in his voice as he told such a simple story. There was so much enthusiasm and Jungkook couldn't help but peck him on the cheek. "And, what was the beautiful prince's name?"
Taehyung returned the smile, giving Jungkook a kiss on the lips. "Taehyung." Jungkook chuckled and looked over at the children to see how they had reacted, only to find them all fast asleep.
It put an even bigger smile on Jungkook's face. Knowing that they'd successfully put them to sleep, Jungkook curled up to Taehyung and rested his head on his shoulder.
--------------
A high pitched wail could be heard from downstairs shaking Jungkook and Tae out of their slumber. In a panic, the younger looked around at all the kids, but they were still fast asleep. Which could only mean that Hongjoong and Seonghwa were back.
Without wasting another minute, the teens rushed to the living room to meet the horrified parents. "I'm so sorry Hyung's!" Jungkook exclaimed. "We were trying to get them to sleep but things got out of hand! I didn't realise you'd be back so soon!"
"Kookie," Taehyung whispered. "It's half past seven."
"What? How long were we asleep?" Jungkook cringed when he heard Hongjoong clear his throat. The teenager looked over at Seonghwa for some sort of reaction - but Jungkook couldn't tell if he was laughing or utterly disgusted. His guess was that it wasn't the former.
There was a brief moment of silence before Hongjoong began to chuckle. "Let me guess - San and Wooyoung made this mess?" The boys nodded. "After San got into the candy right?" They nodded again. "Ah, of course. They were planning something like this for days. San's been extra diligent with how we've been organising the pantry. I should've known he'd try to get into the sweets once we were gone."
Seonghwa, on the other hand, was less than amused. In fact, he looked extremely angry. "Joong, look! There's peanut butter on the couch! The carpet is stained! There's toilet paper everywhere! This will take hours to clean!"
"Well, we've got a full house for a reason. It's alright Hwa, I'll help." Hongjoong reassured his still mortified husband. "Would you two like to stay for dinner?"
"MY VASE!"
"Um...No thank you Hyung." Jungkook said with a quick bow. Taehyung did the same. Hongjoong glanced over at his husband and understood. He took out his wallet and handed them their pay.
"Whoa," Taehyung awed as he counted the money. "If we get paid like this I'll babysit every week!" Jungkook jabbed his chest, reminding him of his manners. "Ah! Right, thank you Hyung."
"You're welcome. Don't stay on the road too late, okay?" Tae and Jungkook nod, hastily exiting the house as Seonghwa continued to fuss over the mess.
"Thank you for today." Jungkook said once they got outside. "Really, I appreciate it TaeTae."
"Anything for you Kookie." Taehyung planted a kiss on the younger's lips.
Jungkook chuckled. "You really are my prince, aren't you?"

First I just want to say I'm so sorry for the late update! I lost my laptop OS and then I got distracted by exams. I can't really type efficiently on my phone just yet so I wasn't making fast progress.
So sorry once again. I'll try my best to get the next chapter out in a decent amount of time.
