Kids, kids...and more kids...

Jungkook had actually forgotten how many children Seonghwa and Hongjoong had. Five kids: San, Wooyoung, Mingi, Yunho and Yeosang; and a baby, Jongho. Yeah...it was a lot to keep track of. Something he wished he remembered when he agreed to do this babysitting job.

Of course, Jungkook loved kids, but six was more than he was ready for. So naturally, he asked Taehyung to come along and help. One, to somewhat level the playing field, and two, so they could just spend some time together (Despite their father's discouraging it). Jungkook had recently been busy with track and other sports while Taehyung was catching up on school work. So he thought it'd be a nice time for them to hang out.

"Thank you so much for helping you two," Hongjoong said as he greeted the two teens. He stood with Seonghwa just behind, reminding his children to behave.

"It's a pleasure Uncle Hongjoong!" Jungkook told him with a smile. "I've always loved the kids!"

Finally, Seonghwa came out. He handed Jungkook a thick binder full of contacts, schedules and habits for each of the kids. "Okay, make sure each of them is in bed by seven, Jongho by six at least so that he isn't bothered. He's a heavy sleeper so once he gets to bed he'll be fine. Don't let Wooyoung have sugar past four, San isn't allowed any sugar at all since you'll never get him to calm down. Yeosang gets lonely so make sure you check on him if none of the other boys is playing with him, make sure he doesn't spend more than thirty minutes on his tablet at a time and be sure he doesn't sneak off to fly his drone. None of them is allowed outside without their shoes on or in their pyjamas and if they do go out, make sure they don't bring dirt into the house."

Both Taehyung and Jungkook stood there wide-eyed at the onslaught of information. "Um-"

"A few more things," Hongjoong continued. "Mingi tends to talk fast and stumble over his words so don't be afraid to correct him or ask him to slow down. Yunho needs to practice his reading today so no matter how much he denies it, please sit with him and help. Jongho loves apples but doesn't like applesauce. There are sliced apples at the bottom of the frigid. Please feel free to call us if anything goes wrong."

"No, don't 'feel free', CALL US if anything goes wrong. If something happens we will-"

"Hun," Hongjoong interrupted, knowing his husband would go into a rant of worries. Seonghwa sighed and cleared his throat.

"Right. Have you two got all that?"

"Well-"

"Yes!" Said Taehyung, cutting his boyfriend off. "Everything will be fine, you two should go and enjoy your date!" The two adults look between each other, both racking their brains for one more instruction. Yet they couldn't find anything. With that, Hongjoong and Seonghwa, reluctantly, of course, said goodbye to their sons then walked off to their car.

Jungkook waved at them as they drove out the driveway, while Taehyung was already inside to check on the kids. He found all six of them in the living room playing either by themselves or with a brother. "This shouldn't be that hard." Taehyung thought to himself with a smile.

"Who are you?" Asked Mingi.

"This is Taehyung," Jungkook said as he walked into the room. Taehyung grinned at him, wrapping his arms around the younger teens waist, making him squeak in surprise. "H-He's my boyfriend."

The child only stuck his tongue out at their cute gesture and went back to playing with his toys. Seeing as they were all distracted and happy, Taehyung thought it was time for him and Kookie to be alone. "So," He started. "Why don't you and I find an empty room and-"

"Jungkook Hyung! Sannie took my doll!"

"Nu-uh! It's my doll! Woo is lying!" Jungkook let out a sigh. There goes the quiet. He had a feeling he wouldn't be hearing it for the rest of the day. Jungkook gently untangled himself from his boyfriends and crouched down next to the toddlers to see what was wrong.

Gently, he plucked the toy from San's grip before they could start fighting over it physically. The toddler's eyes began to water once his figure was taken from him, whining as Jungkook held it just out of his reach. "Whose toy is it really?" Jungkook asked.

"Mine!" They both shouted. Right, of course it belonged to both of them. Either one of them was lying, or neither of them actually knew. It didn't matter regardless. Both kids would probably forget about the toy as soon as they found something more entertaining that caught their attention.

"Actually, it belongs to Yeosang..." They heard Yunho mumble.

Hearing his name, Yeosang perked up. He nodded his head in agreement before going right back to his tablet. The two toddlers whined, saying they were lying yet Jungkook still handed it over to Yeosang.

Yeosang paid no mind to it and even gave it to Mingi to play with. His brother cheered then ran off with the toy, San and Wooyoung chasing after him. "Oh jeez," Jungkook groaned. "Tae, you good?"

Taehyung was fine actually. He had been quietly entertaining Jongho and Yunho this whole time by animatedly telling them a story. Jongho tried his best to imitate Taehyung's dramatic gestures while Yunho watched from the side with a content smile. Jungkook couldn't help but stare fondly at the sight. It was obvious Tae was good with children. That, or it was just his natural charm working its magic. "Hyung..." Yunho said, snapping Jungkook out of his thoughts.

"I'm hungry..."

Jongho nodded his head eagerly in agreement. "Hun..hun! A-Aprr!" Jungkook cooed at the baby's adorable attempt to speak and scooped him up. "Well, it's twelve-thirty anyway, so I guess we should get lunch ready?"

"Aye aye captain!" Taehyung gave Jungkook a salute, making the younger teen chuckle. "I'll wrangle up the others."

While Tae ran throughout the house trying to capture the other kids, Jungkook took the oldest and youngest into the kitchen for some food. Setting down Jongho in his high chair, he began to search the fridge for his apples as Yunho waited patiently for his meal. "Got them!"

Jungkook whipped around to see Taehyung crawling in with all three boys sitting on his back as the teen winced at their weight. "A little help?" He choked out as the toddlers cheered for him to keep going.

"One sec,"

Snap

Taehyung winced at the bright flash of Jungkook's phone. "Kookie!" He whined.

That was definitely going on Instagram. Jungkook only laughed as they left the poor boy to lay on the floor out of breath. "Okay, guys! What does everyone- wait, where's Yeosang?"

"I'll get him!" Yunho yelled. He jumped out of his seat whilst the others took theirs. Everyone starts shouting what they want to eat and Jungkook could've sworn he heard someone say quote 'Double chocolate fudge brownie triple flavoured ice cream', but he had a feeling that wasn't on the menu.

So Jungkook settled on giving everyone a small glass of juice while he read through their eating habits. While he did that, Taehyung spotted Yeosang get dragged in by Yunho. The blonde still had his eyes on that screen even as his brother pulled him in.

It was definitely past his thirty minutes. "Yeosang?" Taehyung said, earning a light hum from the child as he sat at the table. "I think tablet time is over." Yeosang looked up at him with big eyes and shook his head.

"No, it's not!"

"Yes, it is!" Wooyoung argued.

"Shut up Woo!" Yelled Yeosang. "Get out of my conversation!" The younger flinched at his brother's harsh tone and sniffed, his lip trembling.

"Oh God, Tae can you-" It was too late. Wooyoung let out a long and loud cry that made the teens cringe. They weren't prepared for tears. Startled by his brother's loud sound, Jongho had dropped his last apple making him start to fidget and whine. Then at his crying, San started to cry and then to make things worse, Mingi had dropped his cup on the ground, sending glass and orange juice everywhere! Causing him to weep with guilt.

Yunho and Yeosang were the only ones that weren't upset, the former quietly watching from the side with his ears covered while his brother had gone back to his device.

Jungkook looked frantically from child to child before finally landing on Taehyung, his eyes desperately asking what to do. "Who wants ice cream!" The older yelled suddenly. The crying stopped immediately and was quickly replaced with cheers. Even Yeosang started to smile. "You only get ice cream if you behave, can you guys do that for us?"

All of them nodded eagerly, now sitting patiently with their arms folded and a look of innocence spread across their faces.

Jungkook let out a breath of relief and gave his boyfriend a thumbs up. It made Taehyung smile proudly, glad to be of some help. So while he kept the kids distracted, Jungkook finally finished making lunch for everyone. "Okay okay, chicken nuggets for Yeosang, ham and cheese for Mingi, tuna fish for Yunho, mac n cheese for San and Wooyoung and the baby food is for Jongho!"

As the kids munched happily and conversed among themselves, the two teens finally had a moment of silence. Jungkook let out a long sigh with Taehyung chuckling at his tired attitude as he leaned across the counter. "Tired already bunny?" He teased.

The freshman only nods. "I didn't think it would be this hard!" He whined. They were less than two hours in and he was already stressed. "I wished Jimin-ssi was here to help..."

Taehyung tilted his head. "Why isn't Jimin Hyung here? He seems like he'd be good with kids." Jungkook let out another sigh and shook his head.

He remembered the state his brother was in after his date with Taemin, eyes red, cheeks stained with tears while he mumbled his lost partner's name under his breath. He was a mess. "His boyfriend moved and broke things off. He hasn't left his room all weekend." Jungkook thought Taemin made the right choice since he knew Jimin could never handle a long-distance relationship. Still, he couldn't help but hate him for leaving his brother like that.

Taemin must've known about Jimin's separation anxiety! How could he just do that to him? Jungkook let out a frustrated sigh at the thought. He jumped when he suddenly felt someone grab onto his shoulders yet Jungkook quickly leaned into the touch as Taehyung began to give him a massage. "You're so tense," the older said, making Jungkook's thoughts melt away. "You should spend some time with him, maybe it'll help him?"

"Maybe, if he'll let me that is-" CRASH. Both teens jumped and raced into the living room where all the boys were now standing. Each of them looked just as guilty as the other. On the ground was what was left of an expensive-looking vase and a puddle of water on the dark carpet.

"What the- who broke it?" Asked Jungkook. Taehyung went to go get Jungho, who was still in the high chair, then placed him on the couch with a small toy to keep him occupied. "I'm not mad," Jungkook continued. "I just want to know." He made sure to keep his tone even as not to scare the kids but the vase looked expensive and he was scared Seonghwa and Hongjoong would be angry.

The boys didn't say anything, all still looking down in shame before Yunho stepped forward. "I broke it-"

"No, you didn't." Jungkook had been in enough accidents to know that the right culprit never confessed first (usually because he was always said, culprit). "Who broke it?" He repeated.

He was suddenly bombarded with responses. "Yeosang wouldn't get off his tablet!" "Mingi tried to take it from me!" "Sannie yelled at me!" "Wooyoung tripped me!" "They wouldn't listen to me!"

"Whoa whoa WHOA!" Taehyung cut them off. First things first he and Jungkook moved them away from all the broken glass and slowly began to pick it up. After they took care of it, Jungkook asked Yunho to find a towel, then told the rest to sit on the couch.

"Okay," Taehyung said finally. "One at a time, tell us what happened."

"Well-" "It wasn't my fault!" "He did it!" "Did not!" "AAAAAAAAAH!"

"Everyone calm down!" Jungkook exclaimed. "San, why are you yelling?"

The child only shrugged. "I didn't know what to say..."

If there is a god, they are not in this room. "Okay okay, one by one, tell us what happened. Mingi, you go first."

Mingi sent a glare towards Yeosang and pointed an accusing finger towards him. "He's not supposed to be on his tablet!" He shouted matter of factly. "We can't be on ours, so he can't be on his! It's not fair!"

Jungkook nodded in agreement. So he held his hand out, asking for the device. Yeosang let out a loud and very long whine of disapproval but after about twenty seconds of groaning, he finally gave up his device. Jungkook smiled at him next asking Wooyoung why he tripped San. "S-Sannie told me m-my face looked dumb! It's not dumb!"

"Wooyoungie told me Shiber was stupid!" That was when Jungkook took notice of a small plush dog sitting next to San. The boy was gently stroking the top of its head as if it were a real dog. "He told me Shiber wouldn't become a real dog!"

"Because he won't!" Wooyoung grumbled.

"Haven't you seen Pinnochio? I just need to wait for the blue fairy! You're so dumb!" Taehyung quickly pulled them apart before they could start yet another fight. San went over to the armchair and sat with Shiber, an angry pout rested on his face as he turned away from Wooyoung. Wooyoung did the same, turning to the wall instead.

"Alright," Jungkook continued. "So who broke the vase?"

"It was everyone..." Yunho admitted. Jungkook raised his brow, asking for an explanation. "Yeosang and Mingi were wrestling for the table and hit the table at the same time that Wooyoung tripped San, and then the vase broke. I told them to stop but they wouldn't listen!"

"Snitch!" Yeosang and San both yell.

"I'm not a snitch!" Yunho whined. "Take it back!" Yeosang only stuck his tongue at the older boy, San did the same.

Is this what it's like to raise kids? Why do they argue so often? It reminded Jungkook of a similar situation when he was younger.

~Flashback~

Namjoon and Seokjin ran up to their sons' room. They found the two angrily wrestling on the floor with everything around them a complete mess. "Whoa! What happened?" Namjoon questioned as he and his husband pulled the two boys apart.

"J-Jimin Hyung said that I-I w-was an i-idiot!" Jungkook said between sobs. Jimin didn't look sorry in the slightest and nodded proudly.

"Yeah! Because he is!" The blonde shouted.

"Jimin!" Jin warned. "Say sorry right now!"

"No! I'm not wrong! He said Bunny was going to come to life and play with him in the garden!" Jimin huffed with his arms crossed. "But he can't!"

Jungkook clutched the pink plushie with light tears still running down his face. "Y-You don't know that!" Namjoon sighed and sat his son on his lap, quietly shushing.

"Yes, I do!" Jimin continued. "You're an idiot! And you have big teeth!"

"JIMIN!"

~Present~

Ah yes, such fond memories. Though Jungkook still got a little upset when he thought about Jimin saying his teeth were big.

"Mom's gonna be so mad at you!" He heard Wooyoung tease. Right, nostalgia over. Jungkook had other things he needed to worry about. Like stopping these kids from tearing each other apart.

"Mom?" Taehyung muttered in confusion as he cradled a tired Jungho in his arms.

"Seonghwa Hyung," Jungkook told him. "Sometimes they call him mom." Taehyung gave him a light Oh before going back to rocking the baby. It was a little funny to Jungkook. He remembered he called Seokjin Noona once and nearly got hit with a shoe. So it was nice seeing that Seonghwa was so flexible with his title as a parent.

Judging by how grouchy everyone was, Jungkook assumed it was nap time. Based on the schedule, it seemed he was correct. So with that, he clapped his hands together and said the words that made everyone scatter: "Alright everyone, nap time!"

In a flash, every single one of them (minus Jungho of course) was gone.

I shall do a part 2 to this! This was fun to write not gonna lie. I've been reading a lot Ateez family fics lately (I have no shame). They're cute okay! I'm just so soft for family dynamics!

This story got to 100 reads a lot quicker than I expected! Thank you!

Feedback is always appreciated!
