Eight

Peggy looked at the ghost of her aunt. Most people, and by that, I mean literally no one, could see spirits. They were meant to be invisible. So why could she see them?

"You want your mother happy, right?" Asked the aunt, completely emotionless.

"Well-" She scratched the back of her head. "O-Of course I do. Why wouldn't I? She's my mom!"

"Then you'll have to kill her, and everyone else in the family."

"What?! Hell no, I can't-"

"You don't understand. I wish I could explain why you need to do this, but I can't. Just know that this will make her, and everyone else, happy."

A feeling of dread suddenly struck her. Rather aggressively, actually. There was no way she could actually do it. Her friends would never forgive her, alongside everyone else. And, even if she did murder them, she'd have to die immediately after, because of all of the guilt. The answer was obviously "no"!

"Is there anything you can tell me?" Peggy questioned, her voice getting much quieter. "I can't just..blindly do this. It could easily get me in a lot of trouble, if I stick around afterwards, that is."

"My sister, father, brother, and I miss her. An angel, who I can't say the name of, offered us assistance in getting her back, but you'll need to start her journey to the spirit realm."

"Then why do I need to kill everyone else?"

"That's something I can't explain. Now, please, you have to hurry. Something may happen if we don't do this as quickly as possible."

She paused, but soon nodded, standing up. "Alright. I'll do it. Can you at least tell her I'm sorry when she gets there?"

"Of course."

"Thanks, aunt Peggy."
