Two became Three.

Rogue was relaxing on her towel, sunglasses on and an umbrella over her providing her a cool shade. She sipped on her lemonade as she glanced at her husband over her round belly. Remy was smiling looking at the ocean. "This is nice ain't it chere. " Remy sighed stretching his arms. "Just da sound of da waves crashing. It could lull you right to sleep." Rogue smiled and took a deep breath admiring the view and the salty fresh air. "It is nice." Rogue said smiling softly. "But pretty soon we're gonna replace the sound of waves crashing with the sound of a baby crying." She pushed herself up in a sitting position. "It can't be much longer." Rogue paused as she looked at her enormous belly. She read all the books about when you become pregnant. And in almost all of them the end of the pregnancy was the hardest part and women couldn't wait for the baby to get out. While Rogue agreed she couldn't wait for their son to arrive, she also enjoyed being pregnant. For the longest time she thought she couldn't become pregnant, that her mutation would harm the baby. Luckily, she learned how to control her mutation and had it constantly monitored by Hank McCoy and made sure it was safe for her to carry a baby before her and Remy did so. She gently rubbed her stomach before she felt a weird sensation and she knew what it was. Rogue looked at Remy who was clearly happy relaxing, she would hate to ruin it but she was pretty sure he would like this more. "Remy we need to go back to the mansion." Remy turned to Rogue not understanding why she wanted to leave turned his head to look at the waves again. "Oh chere you're relaxin, if it's about da X-Men dey can wait. You ain't suppose to be doin anythin to exert yourself anyways, and I'm watchin over you so I ain't goin anywhere." Rogue kept looked at Remy taking off his glasses "Remy I'm serious we need to go, I don't think you want your son born on the beach, do you?" Remy shook his head "No of course I don't." Remy paused and looked at Rogue his face going from relaxed to shock to happy in a matter of seconds. "I'll help you." He quickly got to his feet helping Rogue up and leading her to the car. "Okay stay there and I'll go grab the things I'll be right back." Remy sprinted and quickly collected the beach supplies and carelessly  tossed it all in the trunk and sped of to the mansion. "How ya doin chere?" Remy asked panicked he was excited but at the same time petrified. He zoomed past the cars. "Slow down" Rogue complained as she held on as Remy made a sharp turn. "I don't wanna get in a car wreck because of your careless driving Cajun." Remy nodded and slowed down a bit. Soon they were at the mansion and Remy took Rogue down to the Med bay. "Hank." Rogue said happily "I think it's about time." Rogue laid down on the table and Remy grinned brightly holding onto his wife's hand "It'll be okay."
After twelve hours of labor Remy was holding his son while Rogue took a well deserved nap. He smiled down at the bundle in his arms and rocked him gently. "Hi there Oliver Etienne LeBeau. Welcome to da world."
