Chapter 4

"Your Highness, may I come in. I have a request from your father," Yunho called out from where he was standing outside of the Prince's door.

"Come in," Hongjoong replied as his finished buttoning up his shirt. Yunho opened the door and stepped inside, glancing at the Prince as he finished getting changed.

"What is it that my father wants this time," Hongjoong asked, turning to his guard.

"He wants you to go out and renegotiate the pricing from the grapes we're supplied from the vineyard for the wine. Apparently the price has gone up and he doesn't want to go out into town, so he's sending you instead," Yunho said. It's been a while since the Prince has been out to town and a few days since he last had a break to relax for a bit, when they all met up at their special spot for lunch. Yunho thinks it will be good for Hongjoong to get out for a bit, maybe even stay out a bit longer after they make the deal.

"Alright. I'll just finished getting changed. Shall we ride there, or do we want to take a carriage," Hongjoong asked.

"It's up to you," Yunho replied. Hongjoong thought about it for a few seconds. A carriage ride is nice, but riding on the back of the horse is even better and he's missed the freedom of it.

"We'll take the horses today," Hongjoong said and Yunho nodded.

"I will meet you by the horses. Don't forget to bring your sword this time," Yunho said. Hongjoong rolled his eyes at the younger, and grabbed his sword, holding it up.

"Just making sure. You've forgotten it before," Yunho teased with a shrug. Hongjoong turned to his guard and glared at him, making the younger giggle and hurry out of the room. Hongjoong sighed, knowing that despite only forgetting it once a few years ago, Yunho would never let him live it down. Hongjoong quicky finished getting changed into his clothes to go out, clipping up his belt and sheathing his sword. He didn't want to wear too much that would draw everyone's attention. He may be the Crown Prince, but he doesn't need attention all the time, especially not when he's just going to negotiate the pricing of something. He quickly walked down the halls, heading out of the castle and down towards the stables. As he got closer to the stables, he noticed a familiar black haired boy bouncing around Yunho who was getting the two horses ready.

"Please Yunnie, please. I need to go into town and you guys are going there anyway. Surely I can ride one of the horses with you," Wooyoung begged, placing his hands on the tallers shoulders and bouncing up and down quickly. Yunho glanced up, noticing Hongjoong approaching and decided he'd leave the little ball of energy for the prince to deal with.

"Wooyoung, what're you doing," Hongjoong asked with a raised eyebrow. Wooyoung spun around when he noticed the prince, grinning and running over, latching onto his arm. Hongjoong and Yunho both panicked, quickly grabbing the boy and stepping into the stable. Hongjoong looked around quickly to make sure no one was around to have accidentally seen them.

"Control yourself Wooyoung. If someone saw that, you'd be in deep trouble," Hongjoong chided him softly. Wooyoung pouted but nodded, taking a step back as he realised he may have gone a little bit too far.

"Sorry your Highness," he said quietly.

"It's ok. Do you want to tell me what's got you so excited," Hongjoong asked him, pinching his cheek softly to raise his spirits back up a little. It worked as Wooyoung smiled happily, his eyes lighting up slightly.

"I need to go into town to get some vegetables for the kitchens and Yunho said you guys were going to do some top secret business. Can I ride with you guys. Please, pretty please. I don't have my own horse, so I'd have to walk," Wooyoung said, putting on his best puppy dog eyes that he knows Hongjoong finds hard to say no to.

"Don't give me that look, it's not going to help your case," Hongjoong said, trying to frown but he could feel his resolve cracking.

"Please Joongie," Wooyoung whined. Yunho rolled his eyes as Hongjoong completely melted, lifting his hand to brush the hair from Wooyoung's face.

"You can come. Ride on the back with Yunho," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung clapped happily, grinning at the knowledge that he'd get to ride on the horse. He quickly went back out and hurried over to Yunho's horse. Yunho turned to Hongjoong and raised an eyebrow up at him.

"Oh don't act like you wouldn't have given in as well," Hongjoong scoffed. Yunho shrugged, not saying anything as he knows the Prince was right.

"Come on, we need get going now," Hongjoong said. Yunho nodded and they both walked out, seeing Wooyoung patting the horse's softly. Hongjoong quickly mounted his horse, Yunho doing the same. Yunho then gently leant down and slipped his arms under Wooyoung's, pulling the younger up and onto his horse. Wooyoung smiled and sat down, getting comfortable and wrapping his arms around Yunho's waist so he wouldn't fall off. Hongjoong and Yunho grabbed their reins and they quickly road off towards town, leaving the castle behind. Before long, they were finally arriving in town. The three of them dismounted from the horses and Yunho quickly tied them up.

"You go shopping and have fun, don't get into too much trouble. I'll see you at the castle later," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung smiled and nodded.

"Of course your Highness. I hope the negotiations go well," Wooyoung said, fixing up his top as it was a little wonky.

"You make it sound so dark and dangerous. We're discussing the price of grapes for my father's prized wines," Hongjoong said rolling his eyes. Wooyoung giggled, knowing just how much running errands like this for his father annoys him.

"I'll see you later your Highness," he said.

"Bye Yunnie," Wooyoung said, waving to the both of them before walking off down the street in search of a cheap store to gather some vegetables.

"Where's the vineyard," Yunho asked.

"Near the other side of town, we'll have to walk a bit," Hongjoong said.

"Just make sure you stay close to my side. It's my job to protect you and I can't do that if you stray away," Yunho said tucking his sword under his coat as they begun to walk.

"I know how to protect myself Yunho. You're just extra backup," Hongjoong said.

"I'm still going to be protective over you," Yunho said with a shrug. There's no way that he's going to let his guard down when they're out, especially if there's a war happening.

"You realise Balhae is invading Valkyrie, not us," Hongjoong said as they walked.

"For now. Who knows what they'll do after they conquer and expand their Kingdom," Yunho said with a sigh. Hongjoong stayed quiet, not wanting to think about what will happen after the poor Kingdom falls.

"We're gonna be ok Joong," Yunho whispered, trying to reassure the Crown Prince. They walked the rest of the way to the vineyard quietly, stopping outside the entrance to the main building. Hongjoong walked forwards and knocked on the door before waiting. Yunho quickly grabbed the back of Hongjoong's coat and pulled him back, so if anything went wrong he'd be able to step in before the Prince got hurt. The door opened and Yunho slipped his hand under his coat and rested it on the hilt of his sword but a man in his early 60's stepped out.

"Your Highness," he said, bowing down. Hongjoong glanced around quickly, hoping it didn't draw any attention to him from others around.

"We're here to discuss the increase in the price of the grapes for our wines," Hongjoong said, making sure to put on his business voice.

"Of course, come in," the man said, stepping to the side and holding out his hand to guide them in. Yunho walked in first, making sure Hongjoong would be safe behind him if anything happened. Hongjoong sighed internally at how paranoid and on-guard Yunho was being, but at least he knows he has nothing to worry about. They sat down at a table that had some documents and the older man sat down, beginning to look through it. Hongjoong sighed, glancing at Yunho and trying to convey how long and boring it was going to be. This will most likely go on for a while, and all for some grapes so his dad can get some wine.

~~~~~
It was almost an hour later and the meeting still wasn't wrapped up yet, the old man droning on about changes they've made, increased costs for maintenance and higher demands and blah, blah, blah. Hongjoong bit his lip and begun to drum his fingers against his knee under the table, trying not to show he was bored as it's truly disrespectful.
"So that's another reason why our prices have been raised," the man said. Hongjoong smiled sweetly and bowed his head slightly to show that he was still listening.
"We were thinking of increasing the price by 25%," he said.
"25% is a big increase," Hongjoong pointed out, knowing the King definitely wouldn't agree to 25%, which means he can't agree either.
"There have been a lot of changes and challenges lately. Plus, you guys are the royalty here, it's not like you can't afford it," the man said, his eyes looking Hongjoong up and down. Yunho immediately frowned and leaned forwards, placing his elbows on the table and clasping his hands together and glaring at the man. He doesn't need someone disrespecting his Prince. Hongjoong nudged his foot against Yunho's to get him to stop. He could tell that the man was just wanting to make some extra money off his families money.
"18% is how far we're willing to go to, but not a dime over," Hongjoong told the man.
"What about 20%, I feel like that's mor-." The man was cut off as a scream pierced through the quietness. Yunho and Hongjoong were on their feet immediately, Yunho drawing his sword and dragging Hongjoong behind him as he looked around quickly to make sure there was no danger. The man in front of them barely bat an eyelid and continued.
"As I was saying, 20% is more reasonable," he finished. Hongjoong narrowed his eyes in disbelief.
"Did you not hear that scream? Someone's in trouble," he said with a frown.
"Screams are frequent around here. Ain't nothing anyone can do about it and there's no point getting involved," the man said. Hongjoong was shocked at the blatant disregard for peoples lives, but then he heard something that made his blood run cold.
"HONGJOONG. YUNHO, HONGJOONG. HELP. STOP IT, LET ME GO." Hongjoong's head snapped to the side, meeting Yunho's wide and fearful eyes.
"Wooyoung," Yunho whispered. Hongjoong didn't wait for anything else to be said, he turned and sprinted from the room.
"HONGJOONG HELP." He quickly ran towards the sound of the screams, unclipping his coat as he ran and letting it fall off before he unsheathed his sword and continued running. Yunho wasn't far behind, running as fast as he could. His duty is to protect Hongjoong, but his purpose it to protect all of those he holds dear to him, including the sweet little energetic and giggly boy. There was another scream and the two of them quickly rounded a corner, turning into an alley and freezing. Halfway down the alley, two grubby and disgusting men had Wooyoung in their clutches, trying to drag him down the alley. Wooyoung was whimpering and thrashing, fear coursing through his veins. They were trying to take him. They were going to sell him and he'd never be able to see his friends again. He'd be gone. He heard a gasp and he turned his head to see Hongjoong and Yunho standing near the entrance to the alley, their swords drawn. Wooyoung didn't care about anything in that moment, he just wanted to be safe in the arms of the person he classifies as his big brother.
"Hongjoong. Joongie, don't let them take me," he begged, sobbing in fear. Hongjoong noted that the younger boy wasn't using his title, rather his name, or nickname. Doing that could get him punished, but Hongjoong will deal with that if it comes to it. There's no way he's going to let that happen. One of the men grabbed Wooyoung's hair and yanked it, making him whimper.
"This one is our prize, go find your own whore," the man said. Yunho tightened his grip on his sword, wanting nothing more than to drive it through the vile men, but he knew he couldn't. Hongjoong narrowed his eyes and stood up straighter, anger pulsing through his veins.
"You unhand him right now, or you won't be living to see another day," Hongjoong said, venom lacing his words. Wooyoung was now shaking, getting overwhelmed by his fear and not knowing what to do.
"Who do you think you are," one of the men said, tightening their grip on Wooyoung.
"He's the Crown Prince of Fantasia, Kim Hongjoong," Yunho said. Usually he'd be against giving the Prince away so quickly, but their friends life is in danger right now. Both men stuttered and gasped, their eyes widening in fear as they realised how much trouble they could be in.
"Let go of my servant," Hongjoong said. They both immediately did and Wooyoung feel to the ground. He scrambled to his feet, still terrified so he ran to where he knew it would be safe. He hurried over to Hongjoong and hugged him tightly, crying in relief. Hongjoong quickly dropped his sword so the younger wouldn't be hurt and hugged him back tightly, turning his body slightly to put himself between Wooyoung and the men as he rubbed his back.
"Joongie," Wooyoung whimpered.
"I've got you, you're safe. I won't let anyone take you sweetheart," he whispered.
"He's a servant? And you're touching him? He calls you by your name your Highness." Hongjoong froze and his head snapped up to look at the men, tightening his grip on the youngster in his arms.
"Yunho, deal with them," Hongjoong said, turning his back to them to focus on Wooyoung.
"With pleasure," Yunho said, turning to the men with a sinister grin.
Wooyoung continued to cry, not being able to calm himself down. He held Hongjoong tightly, crying into his shoulder as he continued to shiver. Hongjoong just help him tightly, rubbing his back and doing his best to comfort him. There was a scream and Wooyoung tensed but Hongjoong soothed him gently. A few seconds later Yunho ran up to them worriedly.
"It's ok Youngie, you're ok. We're here," Yunho whispered, moving his hand to run through the frightened boys hair.
"Th-They were g-gonna take me," Wooyoung sobbed. Hongjoong's heart clenched and he drew him closer and tighter into the hug.
"We wouldn't have let them," he whispered.
"Th-They s-said I w-was p-pretty," Wooyoung said, clutching desperately to Hongjoong. He didn't want the older to let him go, didn't want him to leave him to be taken. Yunho clenched his fist angrily and kissed the side of Wooyoung's head softly.
"We've got you Wooyoung," Hongjoong promised. He gently moved him towards, making the younger whimper and hold him tighter, but he just sat down and pulled him into his lap.
"Yunho, keep watch," Hongjoong order. Yunho nodded and moved to the entrance of the alley to make sure no one came down.
"It's ok Wooyoung, take a deep breath and relax. You're safe now," Hongjoong said softly. Wooyoung nodded, and rested his head on the other's shoulder, trying to take deep breaths. He knew he was safe, but it didn't stop him from being scared.
"S-Sannie," he whimpered, glancing up at Hongjoong.
"Yeah, I'll take you to San once you've calmed down ok. We'll go right there," Hongjoong said immediately. Wooyoung nodded and wiped his eyes quickly, taking a few deep breaths and managing to calm down a little bit. Hongjoong let out a small breath of relief as the younger finally started to calm down.
"Are you ok to get up now Youngie," Hongjoong asked softly. Wooyoung sniffled but nodded and Hongjoong delicately helped him up.
"Yunho," Hongjoong called out. The guard quickly came back over and stopped beside them.
"We're going to head back to the castle, get Wooyoung somewhere he feels safe," Hongjoong said. Yunho frowned at his words. As much as he loves Wooyoung and wants to protect him, they were asked to do something by the King and they haven't done it yet.
"Hongjoong, the deal," he said quietly.
"I know. Let's get going," Hongjoong said with a nod.
"But your fa-."
"I know. And we're taking Wooyoung home," Hongjoong cut in quickly, tilting his head to the side slightly to signal for Yunho to drop it. He knows his father will be furious and he knows he will get into a lot trouble for it, but Wooyoung was almost taken from then and who knows if they ever would've seen him again. Yunho also knows the trouble he will be in, but he cares a lot about the fragile boy in Hongjoong's arms.
"Alright, let's go get the horses," Yunho nodded. Hongjoong nodded and went to pull away but Wooyoung yelped and clung tightly to him. Wooyoung's heart started to pound, fear flushing through him at the thought of Hongjoong leaving him alone where anyone could take him again.
"Hey, shh, it's ok. I'm still here," Hongjoong said softly, holding the younger close again. Wooyoung sniffled and rested his head on Hongjoong's chest.
"I've got you," Hongjoong assured him. He realised that there was no way Wooyoung would be leaving his side, not while they're still in town.
"Yunho, I need your coat. I lost mine on the way here and I need a hood to hide my identity. I can't let anyone see Wooyoung riding with me," Hongjoong said. Yunho quickly took off his coat and held it out for Hongjoong.
"I just need to put on the coat," Hongjoong told Wooyoung. Wooyoung nodded and slowly let go of Hongjoong, taking a step back. Hongjoong grabbed his sword before sheathing before fixing the coat and tying it around himself, putting the hood over his head.
"Alright, let's go," Yunho said, turning and walking off. Hongjoong grabbed Wooyoung's hand and pulled him off with him. When they got near the entrance to the alley, Wooyoung started to feel anxious and quickly held Hongjoong's hand more firmly, shuffling closer to the Crown Prince.
"You're ok," Hongjoong murmured reassuringly. Wooyoung nodded and Hongjoong pulled him closer, allowing him to walk right beside him as they ventured through the town. The three of them stayed of to the side, so as to not draw any attention, Yunho staying at the front and making sure there was no danger. When they got to the horses, Yunho quickly untied them and lead Hongjoong's over to the two others. Hongjoong climbed onto it and Yunho helped Wooyoung get on behind him, the younger quickly cuddling up to his back, wrapping his arms around his waist and resting his head against his back. Yunho sighed softly and squeezed Wooyoung's ankle in reassurance, worrying for the younger. Wooyoung glanced down at Yunho, giving him a small smile to try and reassure him he was going to be ok. He knows the other two are going to be really worried for him, but he doesn't want them to worry too much. Sure, he was scared for his life and was about to be taken, but he doesn't want to worry them too much. He's already putting Hongjoong in a very tough and possibly harmful situation. Yunho quickly mounted his horse and they galloped off towards the castle.
When they finally made it to the castle, Hongjoong and Yunho lead their horses around the outskirts towards the stables to avoid drawing attention. Once they were in the stable, Hongjoong slipped off the horse and removed his hood.
"Come here sweetheart," Hongjoong said softly, holding his arms out for the younger. Wooyoung isn't much of a horse rider, as he's never really been allowed to ride one, the only time he does is when San takes him out for a ride. Hongjoong didn't want him to accidentally fall off when he tries to dismount. Wooyoung grabbed Hongjoong's hands and gently slid into his arms. Hongjoong gently lowered him to the floor and brought him into another hug. Wooyoung hugged him tightly, nuzzling his head into his neck and letting out a deep breath. Hongjoong rested his head against Wooyoung's and rubbed his back softly.
"Youngie, I need to leave you with Yunho for a bit," he said quietly.
"What. Why are you going," Wooyoung asked quickly as he pulled away. It's not that he doesn't trust Yunho, he does, with his life, it's that he's known Hongjoong since he was a little kid, and he feels a lot safer with him.
"I need to go get San, but I don't want you going around and seeing people until you feel safer and have been able to relax. San's the best way for that to happen and it's less questionable if I pull him out of training for an issue, than if Yunho did," Hongjoong explained. Wooyoung nibbled on his lip and fiddled with his fingers nervously. He understands what Hongjoong is saying, and as much as he wants him close, he knows he'll feel immensely better once he is in San's arms.
"I'll be ok," he said quietly.
"Are you sure," Yunho asked as he walked beside them, finished with putting the horses away.
"Of course. You'll protect me if anything happens," Wooyoung said with a nod, moving into his side and hugging him softly. Yunho quickly held him tightly, letting out a breath of relief at finally having the younger boy in his arms. He knows he was safe, but he could still hear Wooyoung's petrified scream and having him close reassured him that they got to him before he was taken. Wooyoung's a servant and as much as it pains him, if he was taken, there would have been no way to get him back because no one would care, except them.
"I will," he whispered softly. Hongjoong nodded, glancing up at Yunho and he could see the protectiveness in his eyes. It's the same look he has whenever he's put in harms way.
"Go to our spot. San and I will meet you there," he told them.
"Ok. Don't stress him too much please. I'm, I'm ok," Wooyoung said. Hongjoong nodded and did one more once over to make sure they were ok before leaving the stable. He walked briskly towards the Knights training room, arriving a few minutes later. He opened the doors and walked inside to see about 20 Knights practicing throughout the room. One of the Knights looked over towards the door and stood up straighter.
"Your Highness," he rushed out, bowing quickly. The other Knights immediately stopped what they were doing and turned to him, bowing as well.
"Hello. I'm not here to disturb your training, I just require San's help on a matter," he said. He noticed San off to the side of the room with Mingi, both looking confused.
"Continue on," he added and the Knights did as asked. San and Mingi quickly walked over to Hongjoong who directed them off to the side where they were out of earshot.
"What's wrong? Why do you need me? I thought you were supposed to be in town doing something for your father," San said, wiping the sweat from his brow. It's rare for Hongjoong to interrupt the Knights training, let alone pull one of them from it.
"I was, but something happened and we had to come back," Hongjoong said. He didn't want to give too much away as he knows San won't take it well, nor will Mingi and it's not the right place for it. San frowned in worry, running his eyes over Hongjoong's body to see if he could notice any injuries.
"Are you ok? Were you hurt," Mingi asked quickly, also checking to see if he could find any injuries on the Crown Prince.
"I'm fine, I wasn't the one, well, hurt," Hongjoong said, shaking his head.
"Yunho's hurt. What happened? Is he going to be o-."
"It's not Yunho either," Hongjoong cut in quickly. San frowned in confusion, not understanding what Hongjoong meant. If neither Hongjoong or Yunho were hurt, then what was the issue and who else was hurt? And what does it have to do with hi-. Oh god. Wooyoung. Hongjoong could see the moment realisation dawned in San's eyes.
"Don't react San, not here. He's ok and he's safe. but he's scared and he wants you," Hongjoong said quickly, seeing the panic in San's eyes. San tried to take a deep breath and calm down, but it was hard as the mere thought of something happening to Wooyoung when he wasn't there protect him had his heart pounding.
"I need to go to him, where is he," San said quickly.
"We're talking about Wooyoung, aren't we," Mingi said quietly, glancing at San in sympathy. He quickly stepped behind San so he hid the older by his frame and grabbed his hand, squeezing it softly.
"Yes, it's Wooyoung. He needed to go into town, so Yunho and I let him ride with us. I can tell you the rest, but not here. They're waiting at our special place," Hongjoong said.
"Let's go," San said, brushing past Hongjoong quickly.
"You stay here Mingi, I can fill you in later," Hongjoong said. Mingi nodded, understanding why he had to continue on training. As much as he wants to make sure Wooyoung is ok, San needs to make sure he's ok first and they can't just both leave a mandatory training.
"Look after them," he nodded, turning around and going back to the training. Hongjoong nodded and hurried outside, jogging to catch up with San.
"What happened? Is he hurt," San asked anxious, trying to quell the panic before it overtook him.
"He isn't physically hurt," Hongjoong said, shaking his head. San frowned at how cryptic he was being and stopped, grabbing the Prince's hand and swinging him around to face him. Hongjoong quickly slipped his hand into the youngers and tugged him into the forest, waiting until they were covered by some trees before stopping.
"Yunho and I heard him screaming out for us while we were in the middle of the meeting. We found him in an alley, two men were trying to drag him away," Hongjoong said. San frowned flexed his hand to try and control his anger. But why would someone be trying to kidnap Wooyoung? As much as he loves the adorable boy to death, Wooyoung is a servant and no one would benefit from kidnapping him.
"Why were they trying to kidnap him. People just see Youngie as a useless servant, even though he isn't. That's just what they see," San said. Hongjoong nodded, realising the men probably thought that no one would care.
"I think that's exactly why they grabbed him. I don't think it was for information, I think it was for other stuff. Wooyoung mentioned that they said he was pretty," Hongjoong said quietly. They both knew exactly what that meant and what the men were trying to do. San turned around, placing his hands on the top of his head and trying to take a deep breath as he begun to panic. Some vile men tried to take Wooyoung, his Wooyoungie. His little ball of sunshine, and to do something as disgusting as selling him off. Hongjoong sighed softly and placed his hand on San's shoulder to try and comfort him, but San shrugged him off quickly.
"Breathe San, he's going to be fine. We found him and he's safe," Hongjoong said softly.
"Joong, they were going to sell him. He would've been gone. Your father never would've let us go after him. Not some peasanty servant who is worthless to him," San spat angrily.
"San. He's fine. Right now, he is ok, and he will stay that way because we do care about him. But he is still scared, and he needs your reassurance. If you need to let out your emotions, do it now before you get to him. He needs you to b-."
"Me to be strong, I know. I can channel my emotions, turn the anger and frustration into reassurance and comfort for Woo. Let's go," San said. He quickly closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm down before reopening them. Hongjoong nodded and they both continued walking, quickening their pace though. After walking through the woods quickly before they finally came into the clearing to see Wooyoung and Yunho sitting down. San's stomach dropped as he saw Wooyoung lift his head, meeting his tear filled face.
"Oh baby," he breathed out. Wooyoung instantly felt more relieved when he laid his eyes on his lover.
"Sannie," he cried, jumping up and running over. San quickly stepped forwards and opened his arms, engulfing the younger into a tight hug.
"Sannie they were going t-."
"I know baby, I know. You're safe now though, no one can touch you," San whispered, kissing the top of his head softly.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you, but I'm here now," he added. Wooyoung sniffled slightly and clutched the back of San's shirt tightly in his fists, tucking his face into his neck. San's skin was warm and slightly sweaty, but his scent gave off a calming aura and calmed him even more.
"You're all sweaty," he whispered, trying to lighten the mood. San chuckled lightly and squeezed the younger boy tighter.
"I came straight from training," San told him.
"Thank you, for coming," Wooyoung said quietly.
"Youngie I love you. Of course I would come as soon as I heard something happened to you," San said quickly. Wooyoung's heart lightened at his words and he smiled softly.
"I love you too," he whispered back.
"How're you feeling Wooyoung," Yunho asked, hating to interrupt them but he wanted to make sure Wooyoung was feeling ok before he left.
"I'm ok. I'm still a little scared and I don't really want to go to town for a bit, but I'm safe with you guys. Thank you for saving me. I love you two, a lot," Wooyoung said honestly. He pulled away from San and opened up his arms. Yunho and Hongjoong both stepped forwards and hugged him tightly.
"We'll always be here to protect you Wooyoung," Hongjoong whispered.
"Thank you Hongjoong," Wooyoung said before pulling away from the two. He quickly went back to San's side and hugged him once again.
"Take some time off, both of you. We'll cover for you if need be," Hongjoong said. San nodded, thanking them quietly before the Prince and his guard left.
"You sure you're ok," San asked softly.
"Yeah, I'm positive. It freaked me out a lot, but stuff has happened to me before that weren't the best. It wasn't as scary as this, but Hongjoong and Yunho were there to protect me," Wooyoung assured him.
"So, what happened to the guys? The ones who tried to take you," San asked and Wooyoung shrugged.
"I didn't really pay much attention, I was with Hongjoong. He told Yunho to deal with it and well, I guess he did," Wooyoung said. San nodded, pleased that the men got what they were asking for. If Yunho said he was going to deal with it, then those men were as good as dead. No one get's away with hurting one of their own.
"I'm glad you're ok. Hongjoong scared me quite a bit earlier when he wouldn't give me all of the facts," San said with a sigh.
"I'm sorry for worrying you," Wooyoung said quietly.
"Don't be, I'm just glad you're ok," San replied, leaning down and kissing Wooyoung's nose softly. Wooyoung giggled happily and pecked San's lips lightly.
"Can we lay down for a bit in the cabin please? Yeosang can live without me and I don't really feel like going up to the castle just yet," Wooyoung asked.
"Of course," San nodded instantly. After the scare he had earlier, San would let him do almost anything. He scooped the younger up bridal style, making him yelp and wrap his arms around his neck before he carried him into the cabin and put him down. They both moved over to the makeshift bed they had built and lay down, cuddling up to each other. Wooyoung rested his head on San's chest and San wrapped his arms around Wooyoung's waist, holding him gently.
"I've got you, you're safe," he whispered.
