Chapter 12

"I want to go on a trip. All 8 of us," Hongjoong said as he swung open the door to Yeosang's room and walked inside. Yeosang shot up quickly pulling his head from Jongho's lap where he was laying previously. Hongjoong didn't even notice anything that was happening, instead beginning to pace up and down the room.

"Okay," Yeosang said slowly, raising an eyebrow in confusion. Hongjoong continued to pace up and down the room, running his fingers through his hair.

"Hongjoong," Yeosang questioned worried, not understanding why his brother seemed so uptight and nervous.

"Your Highness," Jongho called out louder, successfully gaining Hongjoong's attention as the older stopped and looked over.

"Yeah," Hongjoong asked breathlessly, his breathing coming out quick and harsh. Yeosang got up in concern, walking over to his brother and hugging him tightly. Hongjoong sucked in a deep breath before quickly hugging his little brother back, resting his head on top of his.

"You ok? What's going on," Yeosang asked softly. Hongjoong sighed and let Yeosang go before pulling him over to the bed and sitting down, pulling the younger into his lap.

"I had a talk to Eden yesterday, about what's happening at the moment in Valkyrie," Hongjoong said. Yeosang furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, not understanding what that had to do about getting away for a bit.

"Yeah, the war," Jongho nodded.

"He was talking about needing to be prepared for once Balhae overthrows Valkyrie, that they would come here next," Hongjoong said.

"If that happens we'll be in a lot of danger and we won't be able to spend a lot of time with each other. I want us to make some more memories, spend time together before it gets hard for a while," Hongjoong added softly. Yeosang frowned worriedly and hugged his brother tightly, tucking his head onto his shoulder.

"Are you guys going to get hurt," he asked worriedly.

"We'll try our best not to Angel, but I don't want you worrying about that now please. We don't know for sure it will happen yet," Hongjoong said softly. Yeosang took a breath but nodded and relaxed.

"So, what's your plan," Jongho asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yunho and I know a remote place about an hour ride from here. No one ever goes there, it's in the middle of a forest and it's beautiful. It would be a great place to unwind for a day or two," Hongjoong replied.

"Remote and in the forest? Where are we supposed to sleep," Jongho asked.

"There's an old abandoned house there. No one uses it anymore but it's still ok to stay in for a few days. We can stay there," Hongjoong replied. Jongho glanced at Yeosang cuddled in the Prince's arms before looking up at the Prince himself.

"I think it's a good idea. It will be nice to get away from everything, but how are we going to get away with it," he asked.

"Father has gone somewhere for another week, he won't even notice we're gone," Hongjoong replied.

"But what if he comes back early? He's done that before sometimes," Jongho pointed out. Hongjoong hummed and held Yeosang tighter around the waist, gentle massaging his stomach in slow circles.

"I've got a backup plan. I'll let Eden know that I have business to do in town, that will explain my absence. Father won't even notice everyone else being gone anyway," Hongjoong said with a shrug.

"When are you planning for us to leave," Yeosang asked.

"Later tonight, so make sure you pack some things alright," Hongjoong replied. Yeosang looked up him and smiled before nodding quickly. Hongjoong smiled softly and bumped his nose gently with his finger, making the younger boy giggle.

"We'll be ready," Jongho said with a sharp nod.

"Good. We will meet tonight at your place as the sun sets. Try not to be late," Hongjoong said, receiving quick nods in return. Yeosang quickly got off his lap as he stood up and he ruffled the youngers dark hair before leaving the room quickly. Yunho was outside the door, leaning against the wall but stood straighter as soon as Hongjoong got out.

"Are they in," he asked quickly.

"Of course," Hongjoong nodded and the Knight grinned.

"San and Mingi are on patrol on the south side so we'll go and tell them next," Yunho said. Hongjoong nodded and together they walked to the said location, finding the two Knights quickly. They were playfully duelling each other, swords clashing loudly but not as loud as their giggles. Hongjoong rolled his eyes while Yunho just smiled fondly and laughed. The laughing caught San's attention and he spun his head around, losing focus as he grinned at the two walking up. Except, they were still playing around. Mingi's sword was already swinging towards San and Hongjoong's eyes went wide. He lunged forwards quickly, wrapping his arms around San's waist and tackling him to the ground. San whimpered as he crashed into the ground, his back protesting slightly.

"Sannie. Oh my god, I'm so sorry," Mingi gasped as he dropped down beside the two, Yunho hurrying over worriedly as well. Hongjoong sat up quickly, pulling San with him and checking him over quickly.

"Are you ok Darling? You didn't get hurt did you," he asked in concern, trying to find the source of him whimpering.

"I'm fine Joong, thanks," San said quietly, his face going red in embarrassment at how careless he was.

"You sure you aren't hurt? I am so sorry San, I expected you to block it," Mingi said nervously.

"I'm fine Mingi. It's my fault, I got distracted," San said sheepishly. Yunho quickly pulled Hongjoong up and the other two stood as well.

"So what're you two doing here," Mingi asked.

"We came to talk to you guys, run something by you and see if you'd want to come," Yunho said.

"Come where," San asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We're getting away for a few days. Going to a remote spot and spending some time together," Hongjoong said. San frowned slightly, immediately knowing what the Prince is thinking.

"You're worried about us ending up in a war," he said quietly. Hongjoong sighed but nodded, knowing there was no need to hide it from the Knights.

"I'm thinking it's almost certain it will happen. Balhae is being a bit slow in Valkyrie, but they'll overthrow it and once they do, they'll come here. I'm almost certain of it," Hongjoong said.

"So you want us to all spend some time together," Mingi asked.

"The minute we go to war, we'll be on the front lines, the others won't. They're going to be worried for us and I want to let everyone relax a bit before everything goes to hell," Hongjoong said quietly. Both the Knights nodded, understanding what he was saying. San has thought about it a lot, how Wooyoung will react. It's no secret that Wooyoung is constantly scared about him leaving for war and never coming back. He's promised he always will, to help him calm down and not panic too much but there's no way to properly guarantee that.

"When do we leave," San asked.

"Tonight. Make sure you pack some spare clothes, I'll get Hwa to do the food," Hongjoong said.

"Are we walking or taking the horses," San asked.

"We'll take the horses, it's too far to walk," Hongjoong replied.

"We leave at sunset," he added.

"We'll be there," Mingi said with a firm nod. Hongjoong grinned and pat his head softly before he and Yunho walked off, leaving the other two to continue their duties, or their play-fighting.

"Pretty sure Wooyoung is down in the dungeons cleaning," Yunho said. Hongjoong nodded and they went towards the dungeons. As they got closer, they could hear the sounds of sobs and they started to run quickly. When they turned around the corner, Hongjoong gasped as he saw Wooyoung curled up by the dungeon's door crying into his knees. He ran forwards and dropped to his knees, wrapping his arms around the younger boy, startling him slightly. Wooyoung jumped at the arms wrapping around him but quickly noticed it was Hongjoong and hugged him back.

"I'm not hurt guys," he said quickly as Yunho knelt down worriedly. He didn't want them to panic.

"Why're you crying," Hongjoong asked in concern.

"Just got a little overwhelmed, it happens," Wooyoung replied. Hongjoong glanced at the doorway to the dungeons and sighed.

"The dungeons still scare you," he asked softly. Wooyoung shuddered slightly and snuggled closer to Hongjoong before nodding.

"Because of Sannie," Yunho asked gently. Wooyoung tensed and whimpered, trying not to think about the memory of San crying in agonizing pain.

"Have you been in there yet," Hongjoong asked gently, running his fingers through the younger's hair.

"I w-was going to, I promise," Wooyoung said quickly.

"You aren't in trouble Wooyoung," Hongjoong assured him.

"I don't really want to go inside. I'm sorry, I know it's my j-."

"It's fine Wooyoung, I'll just get someone else to do it ok," Hongjoong said softly.

"God I'm so pathetic," Wooyoung groaned, burying his face into the Prince's shoulder.

"You aren't pathetic Sweetheart," Hongjoong said softly.

"But I am. I keep needing you to fight my battles," Wooyoung said sadly.

"No you don't, I just want to look after you. I'd do the same for everyone else. Plus, it's the perks of being a Prince," Hongjoong said with a shrug.

"I'm sorry for causing hassles for you your Highness," Wooyoung said. Hongjoong sighed and kissed the top of his head softly.

"You don't cause hassles for me Wooyoung, never," Hongjoong said softly. Wooyoung huffed but remained quiet, basking in the warmth of the Prince's embrace.

"What're you guys doing here anyway? There's no reason for you to be coming down to the dungeons," Wooyoung pointed out.

"We wanted to talk to you about something," Yunho said. Wooyoung glanced up, looking between them nervously.

"Am I i-."

"You aren't in trouble," Hongjoong cut him off quickly. Wooyoung glanced up, smiling sheepishly at how well Hongjoong knows him.

"So, what did you want to talk about," Wooyoung asked.

"We're going away for a couple of days, to relax and spend some time together," Yunho said, smiling as Wooyoung's eyes lit up.

"Really? Where are we going," Wooyoung asked quickly.

"Somewhere special and remote, where no one really goes," Hongjoong said.

"And we're allowed to go," Wooyoung asked quickly.

"Of course. We're just gonna get away for a bit. We're gonna leave tonight, so meet us at our spot at sunset. You don't need to pack anything because I will pack everything for you," Hongjoong said, receiving a vigorous nod from Wooyoung. Wooyoung doesn't have much, he doesn't even have a bag to pack anything, so Hongjoong's going to pack him some stuff, some of the clothes he has in his room for him.

"Ok. I'll make sure I go there," Wooyoung said with a nod.

"Good. Now let's go, you aren't going to be doing anything down here," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung quickly got off Hongjoong's lap and stood up, the Prince following.

"Why don't you go down and help out in the kitchens," Hongjoong said softly. Wooyoung smiled and nodded before giving Yunho a quick hug and hurrying off happily.

"We should get packing," Yunho said. Hongjoong nodded and the quickly went back to Hongjoong's room.

~~~~~
"Are you absolute sure about this Hongjoong," Seonghwa asked as he helped him tie up another bag to the horse.
"Yeah, we're gonna need this," Hongjoong said softly. Seonghwa nodded as they finished strapping up the horses.
"Let's go," Yunho said. Hongjoong got on his horse swiftly and reached out, grabbing the lead to San's horse. Yunho got on his and held onto Mingi's and Seonghwa got on Yeosang's, holding Jongho's. They rode together into the forest, taking the horses to their special spot where all of the others were waiting. Yunho and Hongjoong swiftly dismounted and Hongjoong moved over to Seonghwa, helping him down and making sure he didn't hurt himself.
"Are we really doing this? I'm so excited," Wooyoung said, bouncing up and down happily. San quickly slipped his arms around his waist and pulled him back against his chest, placing a delicate kiss to the back of his neck and making him calm down slightly.
"We're doing this. It'll be fun," Yunho said.
"We only have six horses though, how are we doing this," Mingi asked.
"I can ride with Jongho," Yeosang piped up quickly. Jongho looked over at him and flashed him a soft smile.
"It will probably be good for me to be with him anyway, just in case," Yeosang added.
"That's a good idea," Hongjoong nodded.
"I'll go with Sannie," Wooyoung said, leaning his head back and resting it on San's shoulder. San glanced down at his exposed neck and leant down, kissing it softly, making Wooyoung smile.
"The rest of us just take our own horses, Hwa you stay with Yeosang's," Hongjoong said.
"Ok, so where are we going exactly," Mingi asked.
"It will probably take two hours by horse, Yunho will lead the way," Hongjoong replied. They all nodded and begun getting on the horses. Wooyoung almost fell off the horse as he was getting on, but San kept a firm grip on his wrist to keep him steady. Hongjoong glanced around to make sure everyone was situated properly before nodding to Yunho and they began their journey.
~~~~~

"Wow, this is beautiful," San breathed out, the others all looking on in amazement as they rode into the clearing. There was a house in the middle of the clearing, surrounded by beautiful flowers and grass and behind the house was a magnificent waterfall and a body of water. There was something in the flowers, that made them glow and the water seemed to sparkle and give off light as well. Even in the night it was magical.

"Told you it was nice," Hongjoong said with a grin.

"That's an understatement," Mingi said as he rode forwards happily.

"Come on Sannie, I wanna see the house," Wooyoung whined, hugging him tighter. San chuckled at the youngers antics and did as asked, riding towards the house. The other's were all quick to follow.

"How did you guys come across this," Seonghwa asked softly as he rode to Hongjoong's side.

"It was purely by accident. We went to discuss problems in a town not far from here and tried to take a shortcut but got lost. Since then, we've enjoyed visiting here occasionally," Hongjoong replied. He glanced over at his friend, seeing the older looking around in wonder, his eyes sparkling and his skin glowing in the small light. He looked beautiful.

"Bring the horses over here and let them wander, they won't leave the area," Yunho told them. Everyone dismounted, Hongjoong quickly hurrying to make sure Seonghwa got off ok, making the older chuckle.

"I can look after myself, you know that right," he said gently. Hongjoong blushed slightly and shrugged.

"Just making sure," he replied before walking to the house. Seonghwa smiled fondly, a warm feeling in his chest at having the young Prince looking out for him. Who would've thought a low-life like him would end up so close to the Crown Prince of Fantasia.

"I wanna see what it looks like inside," Yeosang said excitedly.

"First of all guys, let's get everything off the horses and bring the packs inside," Jongho said. It took them about 10 minutes to unload the horses and bring everything into the house. Hongjoong and Yunho went around and lit the candles around the rooms, lighting the two fires situated throughout to give some light and more warmth.

"This looks so cosy, but there's only three beds. Where is everyone going to sleep," Mingi asked.

"We'll have to share, and there's a couch," Hongjoong replied.

"I'll take the couch," Jongho said quickly. He's not the biggest fan of sleeping next to other people and the couch is closest to the doorway so if something happens he can protect the others. Yeosang was originally going to ask Jongho to sleep next to him but given he took the couch, he turned to Wooyoung instead and opened his mouth to ask.

"I'm with Sannie," Wooyoung said quickly, latching onto his lover. San smiled slightly but noticed Yeosang quickly close his mouth and step back, realising Yeosang was going to ask to be with Wooyoung.

"One of the beds probably have plenty of room, Yeosang can stay with us as well," San said quickly. Yeosang perked up hopefully, waiting to see Wooyoung's reaction. Wooyoung looked over at Yeosang and grinned, grabbing his wrist and pulling him into his side.

"Yeah Sangie can stay with us as well," he said happily. Yeosang smiled and snuggled up to his side, rest his head on his closest friends shoulder.

"I guess Yunho and I will go together then," Mingi said.

"Alright, it's sorted. Let's all go set up our rooms, then we'll meet back down here," Yunho said. Everyone nodded and begun to disperse.

"Seonghwa," Hongjoong said softly. Seonghwa walked over and raised an eyebrow.

"Can you set up all of the food in the kitchen area please, I'll set up the room," Hongjoong said.

"Yeah, of course," Seonghwa nodded before walking off.

"I want this one," Wooyoung said, stopping in front of a room with a fairly large bed.

"I-I mean, this looks good, but we don't hav-."

"It's fine Youngie, it looks good," Yeosang said, walking inside. Wooyoung grinned and ran in, jumping onto the bed and spreading out like a starfish. San sighed and rolled his eyes fondly at the younger boy's energy.

"I dunno how we deal with him sometimes," Yeosang said with a chuckle.

"He's cute, that's how," San said with a shrug.

"Can I please be in the middle," Wooyoung asked, sitting up.

"Yeah of course," Yeosang said, San nodding as well. Wooyoung grinned and held out his arms for a hug.

"We need to unpack," San said.

"I'm a servant, I have like two shirts," Wooyoung shrugged. Yeosang frowned and looked down sadly. His bag was full of clothes, and nice ones as well. San glanced back at Yeosang before turning to Wooyoung again and raising an eyebrow. Wooyoung was confused but then noticed how tense and quiet Yeosang looked. He got off the bed and walked over quickly to Yeosang, bending down and draping himself over his back. Yeosang jumped at the contact before relaxing, continuing to unpack as Wooyoung stayed attached to his back and rested his chin on his shoulder. There was a knock on the door and San turned around, opening it.

"This is for Wooyoung," Hongjoong said, holding out a bag.

"What is it," San asked as he grabbed it.

"Clothes, comfortable ones. Did you really think I'd take him away for a bit and not let him be as comfortable as the rest of us," Hongjoong said quietly. San surged forwards and hugged the prince tightly.

"Thank you," he whispered. Hongjoong nodded and squeezed him gently before letting go and walking off.

"Youngie, go unpack," San said, holding out the bag. Wooyoung turned around to reiterate his earlier statement but paused when he saw the bag. He made a noise of confusion before realising what it was and smiling softly. Of course Hongjoong makes sure to look after him. He stood up quickly and grabbed the bag, moving over to unpack it into a cupboard that was empty. Yeosang smiled softly to himself, happy for his brothers kind heart.

~~~~~
Once everyone finished getting their rooms set up, they all went down and sat in the loungeroom with the fire in it.
"What're we doing now? It's late so we can't do much," Jongho pointed out.
"We're just going to eat and then go to sleep," Hongjoong said.
"Right, so what's for dinner your Highness," Mingi teased, making Hongjoong roll his eyes.
"Right, Seonghwa can you heat up the pot labelled one," Hongjoong asked. Seonghwa nodded and went to the kitchen. He was gone for a little while but eventually came back with bowls and then a tin full of warm food.
"Dig in everyone," Hongjoong said. Everyone quickly began to scoop the rice and curry sauce into their bowl and begun digging in. Seonghwa only put a little bit in his bowl and sat back down, eating slowly. Jongho began to tuck in happily before pausing, noticing Wooyoung hadn't moved and looked confused.
"Wooyoung? Are you going to eat," Jongho asked. Everyone paused and looked at the said boy.
"Um, is there food for me," Wooyoung asked slowly. Hongjoong's stomach dropped and he slowly put down his bowl, immediately understanding what Wooyoung was thinking.
"There's a whole pot of food Wooyoung," Mingi pointed out, continuing to eat. Wooyoung was still confused and glanced over at Seonghwa. His bowl had the food in it as well, but they aren't allowed that stuff. Their dinner is usually porridge, toast or plain rice. They aren't allowed it?
"Wooyoung, come sit over here with me," Hongjoong said softly. Wooyoung bit his lip before getting up and moving over, sitting down next to Hongjoong. Hongjoong tugged him closer to his side and grabbed his bowl.
"Do you want to give it a little taste," he asked softly, taking a small spoonful. Wooyoung glanced down at the spoon before glancing back up at Hongjoong, fiddling with his fingers nervously.
"What is it," he asked slowly. Mingi's hand froze halfway to his mouth and he lowered it slowly. What does he mean what is it? He looked over at Seonghwa quickly, noticing how sad he looked before looking around at the others. Some looked confused but San and Yunho just looked sad as well, that's when it clicked and he felt horrible. Has Wooyoung never eaten something like this? Is he not eating because he's never been allowed to eat this?
"It's curry. You've probably made it in the kitchen a few times," Hongjoong told him. Wooyoung nodded, he's definitely made it before, just never eaten it.
"Am I-. Can I eat it," he asked nervously. That's when it clicked for the others and Yeosang felt sick. He gets food like this all the time, getting to eat as much as he wants but Wooyoung has probably never had this before.
"Of course you can. Just go slow alright," Hongjoong said softly. He knows that if Wooyoung goes all out and eats a lot when he's used to plain food, he'll get sick. It happened to Seonghwa once when he had food brought up to his room and he doesn't want something like that happening again. He held the spoon up and Wooyoung leaned forwards slowly and ate the mouthful. There was an explosion of flavour and he shifted slight, not expecting the taste. Hongjoong kept a close eye on him as he chewed it, making sure there was nothing wrong. It tasted amazing and Wooyoung grinned happily.
"Thank you Joong," he said quickly. It was nice to be able to try something so nice.
"You can have more," Hongjoong said softly.
"I can have more," Wooyoung exclaimed in disbelief. Yeosang held back tears as he saw how happy his friend was at just getting to eat some rice and curry, something he has as a luxury. San quickly turned to Yeosang and Jongho on his right.
"Eat. Stop staring at him because you're going to make him uncomfortable and confused," San said quietly. Jongho nodded and relayed the message to the others quietly. They all begun to eat, except Yeosang who just played with his food sadly.
"Here, open up," Hongjoong said, scooping another spoonful. Wooyoung quickly opened his mouth and ate it. Hongjoong smiled softly at the way Wooyoung's eyes sparkled. Hongjoong put the bowl down beside him and grabbed Wooyoung, pulling him into his lap and letting his back rest against his chest. He took another spoonful and continued to feed Wooyoung, making sure not to go to fast. The others continued to eat as well but they kept glancing over at Hongjoong and Wooyoung. Yeosang was discouraged from eating so he just continued to play with his food, trying not to cry. The mood was dulled, but they all did their best to not make the boy uncomfortable, even though he didn't seem to notice.
"This is really good," Wooyoung said. Hongjoong chuckled and wrapped an arm around his waist, squeezing softly.
"I'd hope so, it was made by Seonghwa," Hongjoong said.
"Hwa you're a great cook," Wooyoung said. Seonghwa looked up and forced a small smile onto his face before looking away again. Before long Wooyoung had finished all the food.
"Can I have more," Wooyoung asked quickly. Hongjoong knows he can't overdo it but having some more shouldn't be too much of an issue and he didn't have the heart to say no. Seonghwa already knew Hongjoong's answer, grabbing the bowl and putting another scoop into it. Hongjoong grabbed it and began to feed Wooyoung once again. He got a few scoops in before Wooyoung stopped and leaned back. Wooyoung glanced around at the others who were eating, noticing how tense everything seemed. Are they upset that he's eating so much when he shouldn't be? He is a servant after all, he shouldn't be eating something like this.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't be eating this," he said quietly.
"It's ok," Hongjoong said gently, holding up another spoonful. Wooyoung shook his head and moved away from the spoon, his eyes watering slightly.
"Youngie look at me for a second," he said. Wooyoung blinked quickly and turned around slightly to face the Prince.
"Are you hungry," Hongjoong asked.
"I'll be fine," Wooyoung said shaking his head.
"That wasn't the question I asked. I asked if you were hungry," Hongjoong said firmly. Wooyoung shook his head as a few tears begun to spill over. He wants to eat more, but he knows his place and he shouldn't be eating it.
"Sweetheart, please answer the question for me," Hongjoong said softly. Wooyoung sniffled before slowly nodding.
"You're hungry," Hongjoong asked. Wooyoung sniffled and the tears begun to fall faster. Hongjoong pulled him closer and rubbed his back gently as Wooyoung tucked his head into his shoulder and begun to sob. Yeosang started crying as well, feeling horrible for the way Wooyoung is treated at the castle. Jongho quickly stood up and pulled Yeosang with him, taking him from the room to console him. Yunho quickly stood up as well, nodding for Mingi to leave with him and the two left the room as well. As much as San wanted to console his lover, he also didn't want to overwhelm him so he sighed and stood, leaving as well. Seonghwa stayed but kept quiet.
"Sweetheart, you're allowed to eat as much of it as you want. Well, as long as it won't make you sick," Hongjoong said softly. Wooyoung sniffled and shook his head, clutching to the Prince tightly.
"You aren't? But I just said you can," Hongjoong said.
"S-Servant," Wooyoung choked out and Hongjoong's eyes darkened, frowning angrily.
"Look at me please Wooyoung," he said firmly, keeping the anger out of his voice. It isn't Wooyoung he's angry at. Wooyoung continued to cry but pulled back to look at the Prince. Hongjoong lifted his hands and gently wiped the tears from the boys face.
"You are my friend, everyone's friend. We've come here to spend time together and here we are all equals. We made this food for everyone to eat," Hongjoong told him.
"Are you sure? T-The others aren't a-annoyed," Wooyoung asked worriedly. He glanced around but sniffled in confusion when he saw Seonghwa was the only other one there.
"They wanted to give you some space," Hongjoong explained. Wooyoung nodded slowly and looked back at the older boy.
"C-Can I have some m-more please," he asked quietly.
"Of course," Hongjoong said with a nod. Wooyoung turned and settled back against Hongjoong's chest. This time though, Wooyoung hugged his waist tightly and Seonghwa grabbed that bowl, beginning to feed him. Wooyoung's face was still slightly wet from his tears but he ate happily for a little longer until he finished the bowl.
"More," he questioned shyly. Seonghwa frowned and glanced up at Hongjoong in question. Hongjoong sighed and bit his lip before shaking his head. He picked Wooyoung up and spun him around so he was still in his lap, but he was facing him completely.
"I know I said you can eat, and that is still 100% true but I don't want you to eat too much just yet because it might make you sick," he said gently. Wooyoung furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Get sick?
"You haven't done anything wrong Youngie, and it's got nothing to do with who you are. The first time I ate things like this, I ate as much as I could and I was throwing up for a few hours," Seonghwa explained. Wooyoung scrunched up his nose, not liking the idea of possibly throwing up.
"Are you ok if we stop here," Hongjoong asked, hoping he hadn't upset the younger boy after just calming him down. Wooyoung nodded quickly before leaning forwards and hugging Hongjoong tightly to show he wasn't upset with it. Hongjoong let out a breath of relief and hugging him back, Seonghwa rubbing the younger ones back as well.
"Hongjoong," Wooyoung said quietly. Hongjoong hummed in response, waiting for him to continue.
"Will I be able to eat more than bread and porridge all the time while we're here," Wooyoung asked him.
"Yeah, you'll get everything we all get," Hongjoong replied. Wooyoung smiled and pulled away from the hug.
"Thank you. And thank you for cooking it Hwa, it tasted amazing," Wooyoung said. Seonghwa smiled softly and ruffled the youngers hair, making him giggle. Both Hongjoong and Seonghwa smiled, relieved that the younger was perking up again.
"I love you guys," Wooyoung said softly.
"We love you too Sweetheart," Hongjoong said, Seonghwa nodding.
"Is everyone finished with the food," Wooyoung asked.
"I think so," Hongjoong nodded.
"Ok, I'll put everything away," Wooyoung said as he stood up.
"Why don't you go and get ready for bed with Yeosang and San. Seonghwa and I can deal with this," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung paused and frowned slightly.
"Are you sure," he asked.
"Positive, go get some sleep," Seonghwa nodded. Wooyoung smiled happily and walked off to the room he was staying in. When he opened the door, he was shocked to see San and Jongho hugging a crying Yeosang on the bed.
"Sangie," he gasped, hurrying over to kneel in front of him. Yeosang's head snapped up in shock and he quickly tried to wipe his tears but it was too late.
"What happened? Are you hurt," Wooyoung asked quickly, worried for his friend.
"I'm fine Wooyoung," Yeosang said.
"Clearly not, you're crying. Why're you crying," Wooyoung asked.
"I was just sad, I'm ok now though," Yeosang replied quickly. Wooyoung pouted before standing and hugging the Prince tightly. He knows exactly what this is about. Yeosang's always been soft-hearted despite his exterior appearance and he's quite naïve. It wouldn't surprise him if he never knew what he ate all the time.
"It's not your fault, it's just how we get treated Sang. It's normal for Hwa and I, I'm just used to it," Wooyoung said.
"I promise when we go back I'll make sure you get more," Yeosang whispered, hugging him tightly.
"You can't do that Yeosang, but it's fine," Wooyoung said softly.
"I can. I'll get my food brought up to my room and you can eat there," Yeosang said firmly. Wooyoung smiled at his friends stubbornness and hugged him tighter.
"Ok. Why don't we get ready for bed so we can cuddle," he said gently. They all could do with some sleep.
~~~~~

"Do you think Yeosang's going to do what you did," Seonghwa asked Hongjoong as they cuddled up together on the bed, preparing to go to sleep.

"What do you mean," Hongjoong asked, turning slightly to look at Seonghwa.

"With the food. Do you think he'll do what you do," Seonghwa clarified.

"What, sneak extras to you every night," Hongjoong asked. Seonghwa hummed in affirmation. Hongjoong's been giving Seonghwa more food for dinner at least 5 days a week ever since he saw how happy Seonghwa was when he got to try a steak.

"Probably. He was pretty upset when he realised, so I don't doubt he'll want to make sure Wooyoung get's more food," Hongjoong replied softly.

"I feel bad," Seonghwa said with a sigh.

"Why," Hongjoong asked with a frown.

"Because I've been getting extra food for ages while he only got scraps basically," Seonghwa replied.

"You don't get that much extra Seonghwa. I was never really able to get much," Hongjoong pointed out.

"I know, but I should've tried to get some for Wooyoung," Seonghwa said sadly. Hongjoong just sighed and tugged him closer, allowing the older to rest his head on his chest.

"Let's just get some sleep so we can have some fun tomorrow," Hongjoong whispered. Seonghwa sighed but nodded, wrapping his arms around the Prince's waist and relaxing, letting his eyes slip closed.

"Goodnight Joong," he said.

"Goodnight my Star," Hongjoong replied softly.
