Sorry I haven't updated like I was planning to but I've been really busy planning some things and I went to Sleeping With Sirens Madness Tour in Melbourne yesterday (two days ago now actually XD) Storm The Sky played as their opening act and the stage was empty for about 2 minutes and then they got on the stage, lights went up and they start plaing "Alive" and I was actually freaking out and started singing the lyrics while Francesca kinda looked at me like I was nutso (which I kind of am but shhhhh, but I mean. Like. holy shit. YAS YAASSS!!1!!11!!

HUMANITY AFTER THE FALL

~~~~3rd POV~~~~

'This is a load of crap. I kill a monster and what do I get? A suspension!! If anything they should be promoting me rather than making me rot in this civilian dump.' Yuichiro thought "I'm a soldier dammit" he said aloud.

"Oi! What are you mumbling on about over there?" The teacher called out "do you have something you'd like to add?" Yu looked at him boredly before turning his head disrespectfully and scoffing.

"Hey! You better shape up Hykauya! Stop giving me trouble or I'll give you a suspension!" Yu jumped out of his seat with a big smile on his face at this.

"You'd really kick me out of here?! Awesome!" He lightly bowed before continuing "well then, I humbly request suspension."

"How dare you!!" The teacher yelled "ENOUGH! I won't have you mocking me in front of th--" The teacher was cut off by the sound of a door being slammed open.

Standing in the door frame was a seemingly 15 year old boy that looked slightly older than his guessed age. He was about 160cm (approx. 5'3") tall. He had short [Hair Colour] hair with a scruffy right sided fringe, the other half of his head had clearly been shaved but had seemed to have grown back a bit to cover the shaved area. He also had [Eye Colour] eyes and three earrings on his left ear: 2 on the ear lobe and 1 on the helix.
His uniform was worn improperly: his jacket (I think that's what it's called) was unbuttoned completely, revealing his white long sleeved shirt that had he first 2 buttons undone, showing a small part of his upper chest. The most noticeable aspect about this boy was the unlit cigarette sitting in between his teeth which he spat out into a bin nearby.

"JUNICHI HIDOU*!! Would you care to explain why you're late?! AGAIN!!" The teacher yelled at the boy now known as Junichi.

"I slept in because I stayed up late doing the extra 10,000 pages of work or what not you gave me cause I kept sleeping during class... Got a problem? Nope didn't think so, now here's the shit ton of fuck you gave me to do" Junichi explained, not letting the teacher answer as he dumped a relatively large pile of papers on his desk before walking to a seat (that just so happened to be conveniently placed next to our protagonist Yuichiro Hyakuya) and sitting down, kicking his legs up on the table and closing his eyes.

(Me: what's the bet he's gonna sleep again

Junichi: SO WHAT IF I AM?! I'VE GOT PRIORITIES YOU KNOW

Me: YOU WANNA FIGHT M8?! YOU WANNA GO?!

Junichi: S--

Me: lol no, I've gotta continue the story trololololololololol maybe another time [cough cough never]

Junichi: W--

Me: lolololol

Junichi: N--

Me: LOLOLOLOL

Junichi: Can you n--

ME (PISSED): I'M TRYING TO SIGNAL FOR YOU TO F*** OFF SO I CAN FINISH THE CHAPTER SO FOOK OFF JUNICHI LOLOLOL. LOL. LOL. Lol. lol. -_-)

"Alright then... Now Hyakuya sit down and pay attention!" The teacher finished.

Yu was about to say something back but stopped when he felt someone tap him on the back. He turned around to see a young girl with tied back, light purple hair and kind of brown eyes, looking up at him. "What? Got something to say?" He asked.

The girl didn't say anything but lifted up her book which had a message written on it: "I am Shinoa Hiragi, I'm an army surveillance officer." Yu gave her a confused look as she put down her book and began writing something else down. She lifted it again.

"If you continue to behave uncooperatively, I will have no choice but to report you to the army and extend your suspension... WHAT?!" Yu called out. "You've gotta be kidding me!!"

"Urgh. THAT'S IT!" The teacher yelled. "One more outburst and I'm sending you straight to--"

"UHH! This sucks!"

"Let me FINISH!"

"Jesus Christ sir, calm your tits and stop screaming like a 5 year old" Junichi cut into the argument, his eyes still closed. Opening them slowly, he looked at Yu. His eyes widened for a millisecond before he closed them once more and turned his head.

'Jeez, what's up with that guy?' Yu thought.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" The teacher yelled at Junichi "DON'T MAKE ME SUSPEND YOU AGAIN!!!"

Yu turned to see Shinoa holding her book up, tapping the text written on the paper with her pen. "Start cooperating." Yu hesitated to say something back. He looked at his now raging sensei before giving in and sitting down. Everyones eyes turning their attention back to the black board.

The teacher gave a sigh of relief. "Hidou, stay back after class" Junichi hummed in response. "Now then. Where were we? Ah yes..."

"I should also mention that your suspension will continue to be in full effect until you successfully make a friend" Shinoa explained, making Yu look at her with wide eyes. "You heard me, so play nice and be a good student."

Yu didn't reply and leant back, lightly banging his head against the window as he spent the rest of the class day dreaming.

Yu was staring off at the large city before him, covered in snow. His feet cold and numb. He thought back at the look on Mika's face... And [Name]'s too. Her last expression being a look of pain and want, and that's always what confused Yuichiro 'what was it that she was longing for??'

He turned back to the so called 'humans' and called out to them angrily and confusedly. "But how can you be a human?! Didn't everyone on the surface die?!" The man standing in front of the two girls gave him a confused look.

"Is that what the vampires told you? I guess I would've done the same if I were in their shoes... Heh. It is true that the virus reduced the world's population by about 90%, and thanks to the Trumpets of the Apocalypse, an army of bizarre looking monsters starting roaming the earth. But we aren't that weak, it'll take a lot more than that to wipe out mankind." He explained. "Our resurrection is already underway."

"Resurrection?" Yu questioned.

"Yup, but that's not all. We also have plans to make sure that our organization ends up on top. We're gonna take back this earth and gather the remnants of humanity under one banner."

"No way... So then who are you guys?" Yu asked. The man took his cloak off and hung it on his elbow before answering.

"Name's Lieutenant Colonel Ichinose, but call me Guren. I'm from the Imperial Demon Army. So kid, how would you like to join us and get back at those blood suckers?" After saying this, one of the girls standing with him stood forward and the man Yuichiro now knew as Guren, handed her his cloak. "Put this on him."

She walked over to Yu and draped the cloak around him without speaking a word as Guren continued. "So what's your decision? Do you want to get back at the vampires?"

Yu looked down at his shaking hand, clenching it into a fist. "I do." Guren took the glove off of his left hand, holding it out in front of Yu.

"If you want your revenge take my hand. I'll give you all the power you need."

"More like 'take my hand and I'll ignore you', stupid Guren, you promised me power not a 4 year waste of my time" Yu said, looking out the window before putting his head on his desk as the school bell rang.

"I'm skipping practice" a guy said as he was about to walk out of the classroom.

"Okay! Let's get ice cream on the way home!" A girl answered cheerily as she walked with the boy, out of the classroom. Yu sat still at his desk; bored.

"Wait up, mind if I come with? I could really go for a cone right now" Yu heard someone say as he lifted his head up and turned to face the person with a look that said 'can you not?'
"You just missed a golden opportunity to make some new friends" Shinoa said with a smug look on her face that was well and cleverly hidden, but still visible.

"Are you trying to boss me around? Cause that's not the smartest idea" Yu stated.

"There's that famous attitude I've heard about. According to Lieutenant Colonel Guren, you avoid any kind of social interaction cause you lost your family. You're too scared to even engage in proper conversation with other people. You're scared of making connections or allowing people to get too close cause you're afraid you might lose them. Sounds pretty lonely if you ask me." Shinoa said with a blank look on her face, she turned her head to look at Yu.
"You know, now that I think about it, you'd probably make good friends with Junichi" Shinoa accidentally showed a light blush on her face at the mention of the said boy that she tried to hide by turning around as she continued to explain.
"He lost his family as well, he doesn't talk to anyone unless he's arguing or if he's forced to. Otherwise he'll literally treat everyone like a lifeless brick. I heard the only person he willingly talks to is Lieutenant Colonel Guren. Also, he apparently was almost murdered by a vampire in his own home and just barely got out alive, losing one of his legs... But that's only a rumour that goes around, no one knows if it's true or not and if it's true, still, no one knows how the hell he'd even lose his leg" she lightly giggled. That's what makes it 100 times less believable."

"He seems like just another stuck up prick to me" Yu scoffed as Shinoa turned back around.

"You'd be surprised by just how strong he really is. You know, he used to be a part of the Vampire Extermination Unit before being suspended not that long ago for acting out on a mission on his own when his team mates were down and for beating up a kid from this school for saying he cheated to get into the army or something like that. He's currently under the same conditions as you: either make a friend or don't get into the army." At this last comment, Yu stood up and put his hands on her shoulders, Shinoa gave him a stern look.

"I don't get it! Why do I need to make a friend to get into the army?! Look, I'm not afraid of anything so would you quit running your mouth and get off of my back?" Shinoa gave a random side glance before looking back at Yu.

"I guess you can engage."

"Just shut your trap or use your mouth for something useful like telling Guren to put me in the Vampire Extermination Unit!" Yu's expression softened slightly after exclaiming this "I'm ready, let me make the fangs bleed for a change." Shinoa pulled out a folded piece of paper and handed it to him.

"Guren thought you might say that, so here, Lieutenant Colonel told me to give this to you." Yu looked at the piece of paper before gently taking the note, a smug look residing on his face as he opened the letter.

"Now that's what I'm talking about. I knew he hadn't forgotten me."

"Cherry boy who can't make a friend or a girlfriend don't belong in our army so go out, make one and then introduce them to me. But, I'm sure that's going to be impossible for you." Yuichiro growled before crumpling up the paper and throwing it to the ground.

"Both of you keep on mocking me, well you can both go to hell!" He yelled as he slammed the door shut and walked away.

'Could he really be. . . Yuichiro. I wonder."
