Third P.O.V

The Day of the Sports Festival

"Welcome Everyone to U.As Annual Sports Festival!" Present Mics voice filled the stadium, wanting to hype up the crowd as much as possible. Everyone in the stands cheered, all excited to see the next generation of heroes before they go pro.

"I am loving the enthusiasm! Today we will be seeing our first years growth, but before we get started with that let me introduce myself. I am the Voice Hero: Present Mic, joining me today is Eraserhead, one of the homeroom heroics teachers. Our referee today is the one and only Rated-R Hero: Midnight! On standby we have prohero Cementos! Now that that's over, let's get this party started!"

The crowd shook the stadium with their agreements, the students who would be fighting all had mixed emotions. Some are nervous, scared, and nauseous. Others were confident and hyped, waiting to show the others who they were. But while Present Mic introduces each class, nothing could hide how all of the other classes felt when class 1-A was introduced. The crowd yelled even louder when the 20 teens walked out.

Shinsous eyes ran across the other classes.

Shinsous eyes looked over the other courses. He was determined to get there. He will show the world that he can be a hero.

He will prove he deserves to be in the hero course. He was determined to show everyone that he can be a hero.

Shaking his head, he walks over to Toga and interrupts her conversation with someone from 1-B.

"Hey, its starting, let's go."

Waving goodbye, Toga grabs Hitoshis hand and drags him to stand next to Izuku, who was finishing his conversation with Iida. Seeing the others walk next to him, Izuku sends both of them a small smile. His eyes burning with determination and something that was unrecognizable, that Shinsou couldnt place. Nodding his head in response, Shinsou looked towards the standing platform, ready for the festival to begin.

"Now heroes to be! Each and everyone of you are here to prove yourself. Midnight spoke over the cheering, standing next to a small black screen. We will be doing three different events today. Each event will be randomly selected. With that in mind, not all of you will even make it to the next event either. This is a battle to show how far you come, so lets get this started."

Turning to face the screen, she grabs a remote from Cementoss, causing the screen to turn on and start showing different words. Each one blurring until fully stopping and landing on one.

OBSTACLE COURSE

Now facing the students, Midnight smiles. Suddenly the entire stadium shook, pointing to a wall behind the students, an opening appeared. Midnight then starts to explain the first event.

"This event is as simple as anyone can explain it. There will be a total of three challenges, each one different from the first. Your goal, get to the finish. Students, this is your moment to show off your quick thinking skills and your quirks. Without further-ado, challengers line up at the entrance."

Everyone ran towards the entrance, trying to get to the front. While trying to do the same, Shinsou feels himself being pulled back by the arm. Looking to see who grabbed him, he faces Midoriya, who was looking past him, eyes narrowed.

"What are you doing?" Hitoshi questions.

"This is the difficult part of the course, look," Midoriya pointed at the opening, "its too narrow for everyone to go through. Everyone will be pushing just trying to get to the front and leave that area. On top of that, Todoroki for sure is at the front..."

"...and hell freeze everyone in place, to get a headstart." Toga chimed into the conversation, finishing Midoriyas train of thought. Hitoshi nodded his head in acknowledgement, face slightly scrunched up trying to think of an idea.

I think...I think, I have a way for me to get through, what about you two? Hitoshi said.

"Chaco and I are gonna team up for the first event for now. Izu...looks like he has an idea." Toga answered, watching her friend's face and recognizing the look on his face.

"Yeah...I do...See you guys in the second event," Izuku concluded, running off towards the opening.

Nodding to each other, Hitoshi and Himiko ran off to start the event. Shinsou ran up to a random student from 1-B, noting it was the girl with green hair. HE touched her harm to get her attention, then looked her straight in the eyes when talking to her.

"Hey, whats your name again?"

He watched as she looked at him suspiciously, both taking note that the event would start in a few seconds.

"... Shiozaki," She answered hesitantly. Once getting an answer, Shinsou quickly pulled the string in his mind, activating his quirk. Seeing her shoulders relax, he pays no attention to the event starting. Ignoring Midnights yelling about the narrow opening and the students yelling at each other.

"Tell me your quirk," Hitoshi commands.

"My hair can become vines, I can manipulate them to my needs." Shiozaki speaks without hesitance.

"Awesome," quickly thinking of a plan, Hitoshi says his next command, leaving his quirk active. "Use one of your vines on me to get me on top of the other students, then you will break from my command."

Shiozaki nods her head once, and makes two vines wrap around Hitoshi's waist and puts him on the shoulders of the other students. Once Shinsou made sure he had a good balance, he felt his connection with Shiozaki break though his quirk. Once ready, he starts jumping from shoulder to shoulder over the students. Ignoring the yells of surprise and anger.

Quickly looking ahead of him, he sees Toga and Uraraka way ahead of him. Jumping down from travelling across, Hitoshi breaks down into a sprint. The voice of Preset Mic filled the stadium, commenting on what was happening.

"Taking the lead is Todoroki Shoto, from the Hero Course 1-A. He has met the first challenge, U.As Giant Robots-"

Hitoshi watches as one of the robots gets frozen in place from almost falling. Once getting near the other student near the front, he watches as two other people run under the robots, Kirishima and the metal version of him, and sees the robots all start to fall on them. There is a yell from the crowd and people around him. Taking advantage of everyone stopping, he runs ahead and starts to climb the fallen robot. He watches three things happen at once. One, he sees both Kirishima and the other kid are okay and had gotten unstuck from under the robots. Two, Shinsou hears the sound of other people using their quirks to get ahead of him.

'Seriously, Bakugo, how can you hear that quirk', Hitoshi thinks.

Lastly, Shinsou feels a grin stretch across his face as he watches Midoriya run ahead of him, duly noting the big metal scrape he was holding over his shoulder. Forcing himself to pay attention, he clubs down the robot, making sure he doesnt injure himself, he breaks into another sprint once his feet touch the ground. He takes note of what Present Mic was saying.

"Bakugo Katsuki now taking the lead, with Todoroki right behind him. Not far behind him are the rest of the challengers. It seems as though Bakugo and Todoroki, as well as, who seems to have some sort of souvenir, MIdoriya Izuku, also from class 1-A, have finally reached the second challenge the-"

Izuku was trying to ignore the heavy uneven weight on his right shoulder. Ahead of him were Bakugo and Todoroki, both battling each other and using their quirks to throw each other off course. Quickly glancing behind him, he saw his other classmates and students from class 1-B gaining on him. He was starting to regret taking the metal scrap, as it kept on scratching his leg. Looking forward, Midoriya hears Present Mic announce the second challenge, preparing himself, he pushes himself to slow down to a slightly fast jog. Once he reached the second challenge, he looked at the start, he distantly heard the sounds of Bakugo echo in front of him.

'A maze, huh. Now that is new' Midoriya thought, walking through the start, he looked up and saw the maze reached the height of the stadium.

'Could go upwards but that might be out of bounds,' thinking quickly he makes his first decision and heads right. Deciding to follow the right wall, he makes sure to remember which turns he takes. Having his mind focus on concentrating, his mind gets reeled back at the sound of a wall exploding. Looking to his left, he watches as Bakugo walks through a whole in the wall, then scowling and walking back through the wall. Distantly hearing the blonde angrily mutter something about a knock-off Elsa. Shaking his head, Izuku ignores the chatter and walls grumbling from inside the maze.

Continuing to follow through with his quick plan, Izuku doesnt realize the tripwire is a foot in front of him. Taking two steps, he tripped over the wire. Catching himself with his hand, he looks at what he tripped over. Eyes widening, he hears the sound of metal starting to hit each other all around him. Not knowing what he set off, he scrambles to feet and starts running to the end of the hallway he entered. Turning around, he watches as the ground where he once stood disappeared. Thinking to be more careful, he finally notices the dead end he locked himself in.

Grabbing the metal from off his shoulder he lays it over the whole and jumps across it, not fully trusting the metal would hold him in such a big hole, he picks up the scrap again just in case. Retracing his steps, he bumped into 10 other students, each one of them pushing each other to get ahead. Ignoring them, he pushes through and notes that Present Mic announced that 4 other people have managed to complete the maze. Quickly he looks up again. Wanting to smack himself in the face, he squints his eyes to confirm what he saw.

'The walls of the maze are at least 3 feet away from touching the ceiling.' Taking note of that new information, he searches for a dead end, a new plan forming in his head. Anxiety starts to get to him as he hears that more people have escaped the maze, a few almost reaching the third challenge.

Lucky for him, Izukus next turn made him reach a corner dead end, deciding to use the two wires attached to the opposite ends of the metal, he ties it across his torso, almost like a satchel. Pushing his arms up against the walls, he quickly brings both legs against the wall as wall. Slowly, shuffling himself up the wall, he reaches the top and sighs.

'The fucking end was 5 more right turns away,' getting annoyed, he drops back down to follow through with his next 5 turns. Finally reaching the end, he takes a moment to calm down and breaks into a sprint. Wanting to desperately reach the third challenge, 'a minefield that everyone seems to be taking their time on'.

Walking up to the minefield he watched as everyone was taking careful steps to avoid setting anything off. Looking around, Midoriya sees Uraraka and Toga taking it slowly, Shinsou not far in front of him. Finally coming up with an idea, one that might get him killed, if not careful, he unties the metal scrap and uses one of the corners to dig up the mines under the ground. Once, Izuku was content with the amount of mines he was able to pile up, without setting any off, thank you very much, he backs up a few feet and sets the metal scrap in front of him making sure to hold on tightly to the wire.

Taking a deep breath, he positioned himself and ran jumping right before he hit the mines, setting them all off at once. He felt like he was flying when he was thrown up, he flew across many other students, all of them stopping to watch what caused such a big set off. He distantly heard the crowd cheer and Present Mics yelling, as well as Aizawas commentary. Seeing he was starting to fall back down right next to Todoroki and Bakugo, both who were currently running to get first, he forced the metal scrap over his head and used as much force as he could to bring it back down.

Bakugo set off one last explosion. Todoroki, another sleet of ice. Midoriya, pushing his legs to run as fast as possible.

"And in first place of our first event is-"
