Ch. 16: 1 week

"Due to the fact that the Sports Festival is tomorrow, Nezu decided to let you go home earlier to prepare. Youre dismissed," Aizawa reported to the class, while stacking papers at the speaking podium.

The sound of bag zippers and teens talking filled the room. One by one, the students started to leave the room. As Himiko, Hitoshi, Uraraka, Iida and Izuku were about to leave as well, their homeroom teacher called for their attention.

"Midoriya, Toga, and Shinsou, stay behind and come with me. Nezu wants to meet you three in his office."

Said three looked at the other two, assuring them that they will be fine. Following the pro hero to the principal's office was a silent walk. The teens are slightly nervous to talk. Once reaching Nezus office, Aizawa doesnt even bother to know and instead just barges right in with the teens hesitantly following him. Once inside of the room, they see their principal smiling at his desk while a man in a tan overcoat sits in a chair next to him. Aizawa moves to lean on a wall near the principal as well.

"Welcome children! I am truly sorry for disrupting your evening," Nezu spoke, before gesturing to the three chairs in front of him. "Please take a seat! Would any of you like tea?"

"...Sure." Himiko answered for her friends and herself.

"Ah! Now I know you are confused on why I called you here, yes?" Nezu continued to speak without waiting for an answer, laying out three cups of tea before sitting back down. "Well, before I state your reason here, how about the Detective introduces himself."

The man in the overcoat, sat up straighter before looking at the teens. "Hello, my name is Tsukauchi Naomasa and I work as a detective in the police force. You may call me Detective or Tsukauchi."

"Now that we have all been introduced, let's focus on why you're here. Wanna take any guesses?" The principal says in a cheerful tone.

I dont think any of us know why we are here, sir. Hitoshi glanced at Midoriya and Toga as he spoke

"No, we do." Midoriya voiced out, causing everyone in the room to look at him. Though Midoriya didnt pay any attention to them and instead seemed to be staring at Nezu.

"Im glad you do know! Now we can make this much easier to deal with. Dont you agree, Aizawa?" The chimera spoke. Aizawa only grunted in response. Picking up his cup of tea, Nezu let the detective take over.

"Due to the reason that you three are considered missing and with further inspections have no current guardians, I am going to have to question you about your current living situation. Then we will decide where you will be going." The detective addressed the teens.

Each of them looked at each other and nodded. Hoping to at least be able to convince the adults to let them stay in the current home.

"Alright, the first question is"

"-and that's everything. Nezu Ill let you be and contact you later for the new arrangements." Nodding his head, Tsukauchi leaves the office. The teens were all quiet, still coming into terms with their new situation.

"Now, due to the fact that tomorrow is the Sports Festival, and I am sure you're all tired, I have come to the decision that for the next few days, we will allow you to stay in your current home. Though by the end of the week, you will be living with your new guardian!" Nezu cheered.

"And who will that be?" Himiko questioned, her head tilting to its side in curiosity.

"I am glad you asked! Aizawa has agreed to be your temporary guardian until we can find a permanent home!"

All three teens looked at their homeroom teacher, who just looked right back at them. Shinsou turned to face the principal and asked a new question.

"Why cant we stay in our current home? I mean, we have been fine for the past year or two. Were fit and healthy. We have a good education, and we have an adult who we trust to check in on us. We each have part-time jobs and are pretty good financially. I honestly dont see the point of this new arrangement."

Instead of the principal answer, Aizawa did, "You're all minors and live on your own. That itself shouldnt be allowed without a legal guardians permission. On top of that you three have been considered missing children until now."

No one spoke, in unison, the teens all stood up. "We will be going now, have a nice evening." Midoriya spoke, while leaving the office. Aizawa stood up to escort them and to find out where they live as well.

The walk out of the school was quiet, the teacher walked behind them to give them some space.

"This is a beach." The underground hero deadpanned.

"Hey! This is our home. You dont see us judging your stuff." Himiko mumbled.

Midoriya reached inside his pocket while walking up to the front door. Inserting the key into the lock, he turned it causing a click to sound out. Opening the door he walks in, the rest following him. The three teens placed their bags by the door and turned to face their teacher.

"There, this is our home." Shinsou stated.

Aizawa glazed at the room and what he could of the house from his position at the door. Nodding to himself once, he looked back down to the teens in front of him.

"Fine, remember you have until the end of the week to pack everything up. After that you're coming with me until they can find a permanent home for you."

Toga, Shinsou and Midoriya watched as we walked away from them heading towards, what they assume, the direction of his home. Sighing, Himiko walks up to the door and closes it. Turning around she speaks her thoughts.

"What are we going to tell Dabi?"

"Dabi, will be fine. Remember, he already had a back up plan in case he had to set off on his own again." Midoriya answered from his position in the kitchen.

Shinsou and Toga nod their heads, no longer thinking about their home situation.
