sixty-two.

Christine was practically sitting on Steve's lap in the back of the cart they were in, her head spinning as she  became aware of every single scent in the corridor they were zooming down.

"Jesus, slow down man."

"Yeah what is this the Indy 500?" Robin said, her words making Christine laugh from where she was laying on the boys lap.

"It's the Indy 300!" Steve said to Robin, Christine reaching your towards the top of the cart with her hand.

"No dingus it's 500!"

"The ceiling is blue." Christine slurred out, neither of the two hearing her as she said it.

"It's 300!"

"Let's say a million."  Robin said, all three of them  bursting fun to laughter at her suggestion. A moment later Dustin crashed the cart into some barrels, the three in the back hitting their heads as the cart came to a stop.

"You guys alright back there?" Dustin asked, the three of them groaning in unison as they held their heads. Dustin ran towards the back, undoing the latch on the back of the truck and opening it so the teens could get out.

"Come on! We gotta go now!" Dustin urged them,  Christine quickly scrambling out of her spot and out the back of the truck.  She stumbled after Dustin, the boy using the keycard to open the elevator and the door actually opening.

"You're a genius! A  genius!" Christine said, wrapping her arms around Dustins shoulders and pressing a kiss to his cheek. The boys entire face lit up a bright red, the girl letting go of him and stumbling into the elevator.  They all filed into the elevator, Christine trying to climb the boxes while Steve and Robin played on a rolling cart, pretending Steve was surfing.

"They seem drunk." Erica said, looking up at Dustin  who was trying to coax Christine down from the top of the boxes.

"Why would they be drunk?" Dustin asked, their heads turning as Steve fell off the cart and into some boxes, the same ones Christine was trying to climb up, the sending the girl plummeting down alongside him. They both laughed as Robin cheered,  Christine  dropping her hand onto Steve's chest and pushing herself up a little bit.  They looked at each other, Steve not sure if it was the drugs or just her that was making him feel the way he felt at that moment. Christine seemed to feel it too, their eyes meeting and both of them letting out a tiny gasp of realization.

"Wow." Steve gasped out, his fingers going to touch her hair as he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen before in his entire life.

Dustin approached the two of them, his hand going to Steve's head as Christine scooted back from Steve, her heartbeat pounding in her ears and throat.

"He's burning up."

"You're burning up." Steve shot back, Dustin reaching for Steve's face and pulling his eye open.  Steve protested, owing and groaning as Dustin looked into his eye. "One sec, one sec. Steve. Steve!"

"His pupils are super dilated."

"Maybe hes drugged."  Erica said, looking at the boy with the suggestion. Steve reached up and booped Dustins nose, Christine crawling over to Robin with a devious little smile.

"Steve are you drugged?"

"How many times Dad? I don't do drugs. It's only marijuana." Steve said back, Dustin shaking his head as he looked at the other two girls who were now engaging in an extremely animated thumb war again.

"This isn't funny Steve.  I need to know what they did to you. Are you gonna die on us?" Dustin asked, Steve laughing and booping his nose again.

"We all die my strange little child friend. It's just a matter of how...and when."  Robin butt in, the girl forgetting about the thumb wrestling and playing with her  hair. Christine listened to her with a wide open mouth, blinking twice before looking over at Dustin.

"We're drugged." She answered, Dustin staring at her like she was crazy and then looking back down at Steve.

"They're going to be looking for us up there so I need you to tell me where you parked your car." Dustin said, seemingly the only one in the room that could grasp the urgency of the situation apart from Erica.

"Oh can we make a pit stop at the food court?"

"I would kill for a hotdog on a stick." Robin said, Christine nodding in agreement.

"Alright yeah food. Yes you can have as much food as you want, but only if you tell us where your car is parked." Dustin said, Christine cheering as she thought about a hotdog on a stick.

"Uh-oh."

"Uh-oh?" Dustin asked Steve, the boys eyes widening as Steve spoke again.

"The cars off the board."

"What?"

"They took the keys. The Russians they took the keys. Like forever ago. That's a bummer right?" Steve said, the three drugged teens laughing together as they subconsciously realized they were fucked. Dustin and Erica shared a look, the elevator finally stopping at the top, Dustin using the keycard to open the door as the older kids got off of the floor. The second the doors opened the older three gasped, Christine feeling the warm outside air make her body relax, the girl reaching toward the sky to stretch after feeling like she had been in a box for days.

"I should be in so much pain because my ribs are broke but I don't feel anything! I feel great!" Christine said, skipping past all four of them and spinning slightly as she took into the fresh air.  The gate in front of her opened, two Russians grabbing their guns and running towards them, Dustin quickly springing into action and ripping Christine back into the group.

"Shit! Come on! Come on!" Dustin said , Erica and Christine running towards the entrance to the mall as Dustin clamored to get  the other two inside.

"Okay okay! Why are we running?!" Dustin closed the door behind them, Steve laughing as they rushed through the halls, Dustin  leading them through the hallway behind all the shops.

"Where are we going?!" Erica yelled, her right hand gripping Christines shirt as she pulled her, Dustin pulling Steve who was pulling Robin.

"Just trust me!"  Dustin said, approaching a door and quickly opening it. He looked both ways outside of it before quickly speaking. "All clear."

They all snuck behind Dustin, Christine backing the group and running in after Steve. He grabbed popcorn out of the trashcan, Christine laughing as he did so. Dustin opened the door, the movie playing on the big screen, immediately catching Christines attention. They ran down the side aisle, Dustin instructing them to sit, Robin and Steve sitting in the seats and  Christine dropping halfway into Steve's lap, halfway into her own seat.

"No,no,no! These seats are too close!" Robin complained, Steve pushing popcorn into his mouth as he adjusted in his seat, the boy gripping at Christines thigh to push her into the correct seat.

"Dude, these seats blow."

"Then don't watch the movie." Dustin proposed, Christine gasping as she looked at the screen in front of her.

"We wanna watch it!"

"Then watch it!" Dustin raised his voice at Robin, the guy behind them  shushing him as he said it. They all shushed him back, Dustin apologizing and then leaning really close to the three. "Whatever you do, don't go anywhere."

"Fine, Dad." Steve said, shaking his head at Dustin and making the girls laugh. Dustin  and Erica sulked off, Christine looking at the screen with wide eyes as she realized who was on it.

"Steve!" She started, her voice in a hushed whisper as she grabbed his arm, shaking it to get his attention. He gave her a small hum, his eyes glued to the piece of popcorn in his hand. "Steve! Baby! Look!" She caught his attention now, the girl pointing towards the screen at the man.  "Alex! Alex P. Keaton!"

"Keaton...Brady Bunch!" Steve made the connection, the boy hardly being able to remember the  conversation they had had months prior, his eyebrows furrowing.

"No it's family ties you idiot!" She said a little loud, the guy behind her shushing them again. She turned around, shushing him more harshly and then reaching out and grabbing his drink. "You shush! I'm taking this!"
