Christine Wheeler had never in a million years intended on getting on her fathers nerves so much that he sent her away to live with her uncle for the school year. His punishment was cruel and unusual, and she couldn't argue, because unfortunately he was being called across the country for his job at the exact same time. While he was initially going to leave her with herself, she was 17 and he trusted her, her bad attitude and running mouth landed her without his trust and right into the Wheeler home...outside of Chicago, in some rural Indiana town that Christine hadn't ever heard of. To say the least she was not thrilled.

Her arrival was in the first semester of her senior year, meaning not only did she have to leave home, but she had to spend her last year of high school in an unknown school with no friends, no one but her cousin Nancy.

Christine and Nancy had never been close, Christine remembering the way she used to despise Nancy when she was younger. It had been awhile since they had seen each other, due to the fact that every time Christines dad visited his brother, she was busy or working. In reality she didn't care to see her extended family, she didn't really like them that much. Unfortunately for her, fate had caught up to her, and she was in for a rude awakening when she finally made it to Hawkins. The rude awakening being her weird cousins and their even weirder friends.
